Cohen's Lifestyle Tiredness

Prefix for Cohen's Lifestyle
I am in the states and Cohen people emailed me with the recommendation of taking Metamucil.... so, I went to the store to get some and they all had carbs in them!!!!!!!! Citrucel was the only one that didn't...and they put a tag line on the front ... O CARBS. What gives... your Metamucil doesn't have carbs!

Are we allowed to take metamucil powder?

The listed ingredients on the metamucil powder is:
Psyllium Husk powder, Aspartame, Citric acid, Sunset yellow FCF CI 15985, Citrus flavour, Maltodextrin

Metamucil question

Hi Slimny and isparkel50:)

I take metamucil capsules 4 a day these were recommended by my consultant.
On the label it doesn't mention anything about containing carbs it is 100% natural psyllium with no chemical stimulants and is gluten free.

These have been a god send I've always had issues anyway even when on a high fibre diet so these have really aided I feel in my weightloss.

Check also with your consultants they might have more info about metamucil but like I said it is recommended at my clinic.

All the best

Sam:)

Hi Sam, just made a quick call to my clinic and Metamucil in capsules and powder form is fine to take. I can't tell you how excited I am about it lol.

Metamucil

I went through this at about the 7-8 week mark too and would just crash in the afternoons, you could see it in my eyes and I was so weak. I was eating all my fruits. My consultant suggested I add more salt. I am using a mediterannean sea salt shaker and purposely adding salt to everything. I immediately felt better - amazing. Our bodies need salt, our hearts need it and it affects our oxygen levels. I always thought of salt as a negative, but we really do need some. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your replies. I am taking 2 multivitamins and LOVE my salt and have now started taking metamucil tabs instead of the powder(geez the tabs were expensive). Will have to get hubby to drink the metamucil powder when he needs a little more fibre in his diet lol.

Hi Isparkle50 :)
Glad i could help with the metamucil question and yes they are expensive and the vitamins but it is money well spent in the end.

Also I have just got my periods today and I am extremely exhausted so this may be part of the puzzle for some who are tired.

Regards Sam:)
