what are everyones plans for easter weekend?
we(my family) always gets together and this year i am doing an easter egg hunt for the kids at my parents house which also includes a ham dinner i would be lying if i said i wasnt a little nervous. but i am going to keep it small instead of grabbing a dinner plate i will use a small one and just watch my portions. My gym is closed on easter which sucks because i know i am gonna want to work out after dinner. thank god for exercise on demand i guess i will have to take advantage of that.
 
I'm going to see the folks for easter. As for trashing my diet, Im not too worried. I'll eat what i like but I work on portion control. I am a firm believe in cheat meals! I don't know how true it is but I've read that having a cheat meal helps you keep your metabolism running as well as fighting off cravings. It's much easier for me to say i have to eat clean for a week and enjoy a couple of slices of pizza on saturday instead of thinking i can't have anything for months. It may not be for everyone but I think that everyone has to find the diet that works for them. No one's body is the same.

The small plate is a good idea! I'm turtley gonna have to keep that in mind! :D

I'm going to two different family functions on Easter, filled with loads of people and food. I love spending time with my family but they all bring something, so that's like um 30 "somethings", and they are all so damn good... Especially the deviled eggs! And after all those snack somethings we have lunch... dinnner... hahaha. It's outragious! I kinda wanna skip it.
 
Nothing planned for Easter. My stepson's not in school, so it means we're not doing anything but running after him. So, just the usual.

Happy Chocolate Egg weekend to everybody else though! :)
 
mmm i love deviled eggs but i am not making them so they will not be there..
i agree with the cheat thing all last week i was so busy i was unable to get to the gym or even eat healthy at all and i didnt gain anything and when i started right back up monday the weight seem to be falling off so i guess that is a good thing. i read somewhere not sure where it was or how true it was but something to the effect that when you eat healthy for a few weeks and then crash for a few days and then go back to eating healthy it confuses your body not sure if that is a good thing but it seems to be working on me but i have way more healthy days then cheat days...
 
Easter......nada, going to church helping out with everything and watching the kids do their easter egg hunting and then going home and chilling out :D
 
i see alot of people have a quote in there signature. i have tried but it will not work it keeps saying too many lines. how do i add something in besides my ticker

Going out of town for Easter to visit with family. Will probably be very busy and very stressful... family always is :) I am also a FIRM believer in cheat meals. I am having mine today though (date night with the wife). My family is having fried chicken on easter, but I will be having a grilled chicken breast. It's the day before my weigh-in so I want to do well. I also have lots of running planned since I won't be near a gym :)
 
I like the idea of cheat meals too but find that I often don't feel like I need them. Last week was the first time I had a burger in about 4 months, and it was dammmmn good. I think waiting that long made it taste that much better. I could definately go another four months without a burger and fries. The foods I eat are healthy but not drastically to the point of not tasting good.

I also think it's important to satisfy my cravings in a "healthier" style. Popcorn loaded with butter = smart pop mini bag. Pizza = wheat english muffin mini pizzas. ETC. lol.
 
Usually do something for Easter...(a family gathering of some sort) Probably just get together with dad for a bike ride since the weather has finally warmed up here. We'll prob hit up some small town's local home stead type of deal.

I wish I was 10 so I could go on the Easter Egg Hunt at the zoo..
