The remaining Miles - rideandshoot

The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
-
I've been on a good diet and been working out for a good number of months, and lost enough weight to where absolutely everyone i know, or that I've ever met, has commented on that i've lost "a Sh@load" of weight.
-
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

When i want something, i get it. I want to go from improved to good to excellent.

I will keep a progress log here, in the form of pictures and "how i feel". Not very scientific, but it'll do the trick. Maybe I'll throw in some numbers. We'll see.

Ill get a camera and attempt to keep a weekly update with picture taken on Saturday mornings.

Mean plan for tomorrow:

Breakfast:

Two scrambled eggs & black beans.

Half lunch :

Tuna sandwich

other half lunch:

Clementine, flax seed, carrots.

Dinner:

Chicken, asparges, broccoli, cherry tomatoes, french mustard.

What ever you call the next meal:

sandwich with natural peanutbutter? suggestions welcome.

snacks after that: flax seed (yes i snack on this), other veggies. lots of water.

Well breakfast didn't go as planned, Not enough time.

Instead of eggs i had about a half a protein-powder cup worth of musli with oatmeal and walnuts, and a slice of whole grain bread with all natural peanut butter with flax seeds stirred into it. I find peanut butter with flax seeds in it to taste much better than without.

For lunch i had 3x tuna on crisp bread with onions, tomato and cucumber on. Twas yummy.

Then did a quick back and hamstring exercise and stretched a bit.

I forgot my flax seeds at home, so my next quick inbetweener meal will have to be just carrots and water. Unless there's more tuna left. Yum.

Going to try and go to the pool later today for a swim. Only problem is my old swim trunks have to be kept up with a belt, and the old ones i dug out of the droor from when i was 14 years old are also much, much too big. Oh well, its not the worst problem to have I guess. :action2:

Additionally, to keep this thread more interesting, I'm going to be posting pictures of hot chicks frequently.

got a decent ab and bicep workout today, as those and my lower back muscles are the only ones that aren't sore.

In other news, i stepped on the gym scale for the first time in several years.

At my heaviest recorded on a scale i was 120-130 Kg (280ish pounds). Today i weighed in at 89 kgs (197 lbs) with clothing on. Don't care about weight, but still it was a bit of an eye opener. I'm 6'2 btw.

Still don't think i could pull off these undies though:

I mean i could pull them off, literally, just not.... ah you get the point.

:animal2

Still going strong. Eating very healthy and getting sufficient sleep.

Had a jog this morning with some fun at the local jungle-jim, followed by some playing with my new kettle bell when i got home.

Congrats on starting your journal...i like the idea of the pics, but is it possible you could post up a couple of granny pics from time to time???:drooling1:

Good luck with your goals and read the nutrition sticky your diet seems to be lacking...whats the weight training like???

Hey all, thanks for your responses.

Just out of curiosity how would you say my diet is lacking? - Not saying its not, although i don't think it is, just didn't think i'd given enough information on my diet for anyone to reach that conclusion :)

and Chillen, none of these pictures are porn! (YET!) :D

Plan for tomorrow= 2 eggs+tuna(steak or tin?) +chicken(breast?) IMO you should add more protein.

Congratulations on the weight loss so far.

What are your goals???

I usually consume ample amounts of protein with each meal.

Yesterday i had two eggs for breakfast with some oatmeal. Did a jog/pull up/leg up(whatever those are called) session and then went home and did swing-squats with my kettle bell. Holy crap I'm sore today. After that workout i had a protein shake with berries blended. Next meal was two turkey sandwiches on whole grain bread. A ton of turkey on those sandwiches.
the next meal after that was a salmon steak with broccoli.

later that night i had some sunflower seeds and a piece of fruit.

My portions are pretty small, and i have small amounts of food in between my bigger meals. I try to eat at least every 3 hours.

As for goals, I'd like to drop more fat% and gain more muscle. I don't know what percentage I'm at now, and since numbers are never involved in my goal, I'm gonna go with "visible abs!" hey that's unique.

Ah a little clearer ...i was going off your plan for tomorrow as a typical day.

ah, no not so.
I try to build my meal plan based on what i have previously eaten, what foods I have on hand, and what my day will involve activity wise. Also if i'll be at home or not, so i can cook, or if ill have to bring stuff etc.

On that note, I've been making these Shirataki noodle stir fry things with chicken and a bunch of veggies and chili etc, and i noticed my stomach wasn't quite agreeing with it (the argument was in regards to whether or not I'd have the runs, and the noodles won the argument). Its a darn shame, because it was tasty as hell and really quite healthy. Maybe I'll give it a go again soon. I hope to one day have peace between the stomach and the shirataki noodles.

bahah good one.

To hell with it, i'll make it today too. Let the body know that the noodles are here to stay. DEAL WITH IT!

Are you still.........Riding-and-Shooting adversity?

Hey there, thanks for the request.

Going strong as always.
Been doing this HIIT routine that i really enjoy. Its sort of extreme intensity, very short duration. Completely balls out sprinting as fast as possible for say 100 yds, then a walk/slow jog break to catch breath and then repeat. It kicks my ass so bad, i get completely gassed from just 10 minutes or so of doing it.

Also been doing a good number of kettlebell swing squats or what ever you call them. I think my 32kg (70lbs) kettlebell might be a little overkill because they are haaaaaaaaaaard.

Still seeing progress and feeling awesome. I can feel that I'm gonna be sore as hell tomorrow.

I'm off to the pool for a swim and sauna.

By the way, i was wondering what people's (chillens?) opinions are on CLA supplementation.
Currently the only supplements i take are fish oil and whey protein isolate.
