The Pregnant Man

I'm sure we've all heard the story about the "pregnant man" but heres a link about it...

So whats your thoughts on the matter??? Do you side w/him?? Do you think its wrong??

Personally, it drives me CRAZY!!! this is a WOMAN who decided to have her breasts remove and take some testosterone...which is totally her choice, i'm not gonna comment on it...however, the woman has a uterus and all the other baby making parts any other woman has...so why is the media all over this?? Stop advertising it as some miracle..you know??

just another thought...I wonder how screwed up those kids are gonna be when they're told that they "dad" gave birth to them...and the whole sex change thing....

I dn't care one way or another, but it DOES bug me that people think this is some devine happening. When everyone KNWS a person who has the parts to give birth, CAN give birth.

Find me a man, a REAL man, whose pregnant. Then I'll be wow'd.

Well its not a man, it just didn't happen. It's just ridiculous.

Next time I give birth I'm going to wear stilts and maybe they can write an article about "Tallest Woman in the World gives Birth".

Whatever

People are probably going to hate me for saying this but, I believe with if you're born a woman and are able to have kids you are a woman. The same goes for a man except the whole giving birth thing. She is a woman that looks like a man, who just happens to be pregnant. No biggie.

It is a woman "pretending to be a man". If I cut my hair and start shaving next time I'm pregnant it is the same story.

I can't just suddenly turn into a man. It's called pretending. And it's ridiculous. It's ridiculous because they are claiming some miracle and its not.

I know. i am going to wear rabbit ears next time I'm giving birth. Then I can say I was the first rabbit to have a human baby yay!!!!!

Uhm. "He" might be a woman inside...but he's been taking things to BECOME a man. Having male hormones, etcetc. He stopped taking them before his womanly parts stopped working for him.

Therefore, saying "I'll wear rabbit ears next time" is really not a good comparisin, unless you find some new way to actually ALTER yourself into a rabbit.

If he went through 100% and did a complete change, where he had his female parts removed and such, then he can surely be viewed AS a man.

But regardless, it's a woman. Women give birth. She/HE just stopped the alterations before it was too late. That's all. Simple.

Look the fact is they are claiming it is a man who is pregnant. It's just not true.

It is not a man, it never has been. And who knows if it ever will be.

Comparing it to me dressing up as a rabbit is all I can be bothered coming up with because it is just so ridiculous.

It's just utterly ridiculous. I cannot stop laughing.

You need to stop referring to him/her as an "IT".

I hope you realize there are many people who change their genders and yes, they shouldnt be making a big deal out of this, but regardless, they are a PERSON not an "IT"

I do apologize as I didn't word that correctly. I kind of meant "it" as in the situation but I have not said it right. Typed too fast without thinking.

It doesn't bother me in the slightest if someone who is born biologically as a sex decides to change their gender status in life. It just annoys me when people claim something like this when clearly they are not what they are saying they are.

shae, easy mistake to make...when a person is one sex but claims the other "it" is a term that most might use...polite or not...

Same case w/ babies...when a person does not know the sex of a child...they are often referred to as "it"...."oh your having a baby?? is it a boy or girl?" you know?

If he wants to live as a man, and if he wants to have the baby, I don't see why he can't/shouldn't. But isn't this old news?

Oh wow. Again? If he's a good parent, I don't see what the problem is.

No body has a problem with the parenting side from what I have read. The problem some people have is that it is someone saying in black and white that they are claiming to be the first pregnant man.

It is not true so it is not a miracle or anything.

I personally don't judge a persons ability to parent by their sexual or gender situation (not sure what to call it). I just think it is a wrong thing to say something is so amazing when clearly it is not.

Good luck to them and I hope they are happy. I just have no idea why they needed to be so silly about it all.

Personally I don't have a problem with him wanting to live as a man even though he was born biologically female. Actually, I admire anybody who has taken that step, and has the courage to go through with it.

BUT....if he's so desperate to be a full fledged man, why become pregnant? Isn't that an entirely female thing? Quite obviously he doesn't really know what he wants, otherwise there would have been no desire for a pregnancy in the first place. THere is a woman in the picture as well, couldn't she have the kids? Couldn't they adopt?

That's what bothers me. If you feel the desire to change your gender, and it makes you happy, by all means go for it. Everybody should live their life the way they want to (always provided it doesn't hurt anybody else). But don't go out there and claim to be 'the first pregnant man', if you're clearly not a man (yet). That's money making, nothing else. :(

The womans unable to have children, thats why he stopped his "treatment" so "he" could give birth, so that they could have a child

Hmm....they could have adopted if they were that desperate. Or at least keep it to themselves, and not make it public. I don't doubt they had a genuine wish to have kids, but they could have had that without all the fuss. Or before he started treatment. Loads of options, none of them having to involve all the media hype. :(

I just think its weird...becuase he really feels like he should have been a man, but yet has the desire to carry a child? It's just confusing to me. haha
