Hey Di!

We've discussed boobs before, it's certainly not taboo... Nothing seems taboo here! hehe

LessFatty is (I think) the only 'regular' guy on the forum, and I've known him for years, he can cope with us discussing boobs, trust me. He has a great sense of humour. Just if he starts offerring to come measure any he'll be in trouble!!!

Of course if he starts discussing what the diet is doing to HIS 'bits' we'll start worrying!

Bra sizes

Hi all,
When I first glimpsed this "over half thread", I thought it meant 'over half way to goal weight' , but I just realised that it means over half of your body weight to loose...I almost qualify...almost 120kg to 64kg...can I join in  ?
About bra sizes...I have gone from wearing a 16F - yes F  to (are you ready for it??? a 12D!!! :D
I am soooooooooo stoked! I have had large breasts since I was a teen, and all the lewd comments that go along with them. I can now buy bras in Target for $10, instead of having to spend $50+ on just one bra. I couldn't be happier! I now fit into tops and dresses with 'under boob lines', and I just love trying on swimsuits. I must admit though, my boobs are a bit droopier than they were, but hey, I can afford the bras to hold them up - and lots of them! And, they were always going to droop...gravity + age will do that to you, no matter what your bra size!

Anyway, love this thread and will be checking in regularly...

Welcome to the gang, Jody!

The 'under half' thing was more a point of 'those who had HUGE amounts to lose', so you're our star!!!

I know what you mean about cheap bras! Even the difference I've made means the difference between $25 and $15... Won't be long and I'll be in the $10 range!

I would like to get my Blood Pressure tested, it was sky high before I started on this, actually that was one of my impetus' for starting. Last time I was at the doc's (only doc visit since I started the programme) she was so excited by my loss we didn't get around to checking the BP!

The other REALLY exciting thing is, I'm not needing my Sleep Apnoea machine any more! I can sleep normally now. Just need to get to bed earlier...

asyoz - you must be feeling great to ditch that sleep apnoea machine. Little steps along the way mean great rewards. :)

We had a Melbourne Cup lunch this week at work. I brought in my own Cohen chicken salad and did not have any cake, soft drinks etc. I was proud I didn't cave in..... A new lady in the office noticed I didn't take any cake and immediately asked "are you on a diet?" I said No, I didn't want any and then I thought people just assume because you are larger that this is why you may not eat what is on offer. I got annoyed and just watched as everyone ate layers and layers of royal icing on this cake......yuk!!!

Anyway got through it all.

Hey frump!

The CPAP machine is fantastic to be without, I didn't realise how free I felt without it.

Good to hear you got through the lunch at work. Remember, when you're finished the programme there will be other cakes. And anyway, you'll look so damned faboulous everyone will be looking at your ar$e in that dress rather than whether you're eating the cake or not.

asy :D :D: D

One of the defining moments that made me decide that thais was IT! I had to lose weight was my husband commenting on me not breathing when I was asleep, and him waiting for that next breath, scary stuff.
Asyozyou must feel a lot freer without the CPAP, it's these steps along the way that are so satisfying.
Well done all, here's to a successful Cohen's weekend to all.

Hello

That is scary not breathing in your sleep....
I think baby steps all the way.
We'll all be super lishous babes soon and I can't wait.

Size 18's at last

Hi all
This thread seems to have gone quiet and its such a great inspiration so I thought I'd see if we could ressurect it.

I finally had to give in and buy new work trousers as my old ones were falling off me. I went to the plus sizes in Target automatically and couldn't find any nay blue trousers so was about to give when I noticed a pair of 18's. Thought I'd try them on out of curiosity and bingo - they fit. These are my first 18's in 15 years!!!!!!!!!!!!
So chuffed.

Am now down to 94.7 which means that in another 0.7kg I can apply for Income protection Insurance. I couldn't find anyone who would insure me as my BMI was way tooo high.

Keep slimming
Dizzy

Well Done!

Congratulations dizzy! You should be chuffed! And guess what - the sizes are only going to get smaller...soon it will be 16, then 14, then 12 and maybe even a 10! ;)
I still find it hard to accept that I fit into size 12's these days...when I'm hanging my washing out on the line, I often grab a pair of pants to hang out and can't believe that they actually fit me - they look sooooooooo tiny compared to what I used to wear.
And guess what?
I now have 2 items of clothing in a (and this is truely impossible for me to fathom  ) size 10!   I have a skirt that my Mum bought at a garage sale that she never ended up wearing and a pair of hipsters that I got from an op shop the other day (I LOVE op shops!). And they both fit me - and I can breathe in them - and I even can sit down in them and still breathe!!!
Anyway...just really wanted to say 'you go girl!' Keep up the great effort and enjoy shopping for those increasingly smaller sizes!

Wow, Jody. Size 10 :D

Oh what a feeling.......congratulations on an amazing achievement. Please keep posting to keep us all inspired and motivated. You have and are still doing so well. Enjoy those shopping trips.

dizzy: great effort as well. Income protection insurance is coming your way....good luck. I sometimes sit and work out how much my BMI is coming down and its incredible to see how the kilos make the difference in the numbers.

asyoz: how are you going?

I have been deviating a little thinking just a little taste of this and that won't make a difference. WRONG!!!! WRONG!!!! Need to get my head around it all.

Hope you all have a good Sunday.

dizzy: Congrats on getting into a size 18 and I bet in no time you will hit a size 12 or even size 10~~!

I've had a shitty week, but thanks for asking frump. Anyone who reads my blog would know, I got burgled on Tuesday, then my ex served me court papers to try and stop me moving to the farm we just bought with the kids. So things are NOT fun at the moment. But the weight loss is going well.

Oh, and, I had to get some court-ready clothes and I was really happy that size 18 did the trick. Especially since my ex said one of the reasons he should be given custody is because I am too obese to be a good parent (paraphrasing, but close enough).

If anyone happens to be a family court lawyer, let me know :D

asy :D

God asyoz what rotten luck Will keep my fingers crossed for you. At least you know that you are doing something about your weight so he can't use that as an excuse for much longer.

Thanks everyone for the congrats on the size 18's, looking forward to the smaller sizes.

dizzy

asyoz: sorry to hear about the rough week you have had. Hold your head up high as your ex is trying to use emotional blackmail to say your weight is in the way of making a good parent - he obviously is looking for negative things to hit you with. You are showing everyone you are doing something about your weight but at the same time I don't think the Court would really consider it an issue that makes you neglect your children. You have a head start - the kids are with you. Get good legal advice and good luck.

On the bright side you are coping with these situations and not resorting to comfort eat. Be proud of your achievements.
