The Crossfitter.

My previous goal was fat loss...

...but now it's being able to consistently do xfit WODs. I have a habit of changing my mind very frequently because I always seem to find something better to try.

I have many months (if not years) of work ahead of me for this to happen. I been reading and trying stuff every week. I need a few more things so I can start the Paleo diet - things like finding a game meat supplier, some steam cookware, find some local farms that sell fresh fruits/veggies (easy), an extra fridge and freezer (found some for free, just waiting for an answer from the person.) My home gym needs some more gear also, I made some paralettes (gymnastics), a home made pull up/chin up bar, got 1000$ worth of Olympic plates/bars/benches (I still need more), a flexband for assisted chin ups/pull ups, some fitness balls, an assortment of sporting gear for goofing around when I have nothing to do, etc. Still want to buy some gymnastic rings, I've got an AbMat on the way (should get it on the 17th), a climbing rope and **** load of other things - I am actually trying to find a second job to help me speed things up...I want this pretty bad.

I will use a Paleo diet along with some scaled down versions of their WODs/Benchmark WOs. The Paleo diet is practically a low carb diet and I it encourages one to eat his/her fill - but I won't over do this, I will cut back slightly anyways and fat loss is sure to produce itself.

Oh yeah, I might have to tear down a wall in my Dads garage 'cause ****, I need more room. :sport:

Stay tuned and thanks for stopping by!

Good day :)

Well I've been getting plenty of sleep now, but I still can't manage to wake the hell up at 5:30AM...

Seriously, someone needs to beat my lazy ass. I need some hardcore discipline.

I barely have time to workout in evenings...that leaves me with mornings and I can't pull it off!!!

So did you let us down today?

Don’t get all that stuff you were talking about and destroying your dad’s garage until you actually are able to get your butt out of bed!!! It’s not the stuff, it’ the daily perseverance of effort no matter what plan or equipment you have.

AND you are talking about getting a 2nd job to buy more sh**. Dude you need to ditch the 2nd job idea and get to working out daily.

seriously
:violent:

I explained to my dad and his girlfriend yesterday night that I was going to start eating nothing but fruits, veggies, nuts and lean meats and got looked at like I was some kind of dumb**** freak. They thought it was stupid and overboard. I'm never explaining myself or expecting good things from them ever again. In reality I've always expected some sort of encouragment from my father to do the things that I wanted to do but, somehow, he always (and I mean always) does the exact opposite and angers me beyond anything that has ever angered me in my whole life.

Why do fathers do this? Is this, somehow, a good thing to do to your son? He always has some reason or excuse to tell me not to do the things I tell him I want to do, and he does so by trying to make me feel stupid.

:mad::mad::mad:

Sorry for the rant, I feel better now.

Seriously though, what the **** is wrong with people.

You should tear the sh** out of that garage now!!!

Sorry, to hear about your probs….I’m trying to be an attentive parent and one that listens to his kids. They need to try things and fail or succeed on their own; they don’t need me lording over them. But I’m there to help without the drama.

Ugh. This week sucked...

Thankfuly, I am going to wonderland to try out all them rollercoasters to see if I can get a nice adrenaline fix - I need it.

Leaving at 3:00AM tomorrow, driving for 5 hours, speding a whole day there only to drive back another 5 hours. I really hope it's worth it...

Oh yeah - I got my AbMat yesterday. Tried it and it seems to hurt my back when I use it...going to try different angles etc.

Anyhow, good weekend everyone.

****ing awesome.

I just got hired as a welder on the weekends.

Known the lad for some time. He is actually my client - I sold him ALL his welding equipement. From a complete torch set to mig welder to plasma cutter. All top notch gear.

Might just be for a job or two, but I'm sure to make at least a couple hundred bucks from this.

Peice of cake. :)

:action8::action8:

Friday I woke up at 1:00AM, picked up 3 people and drove 5 hours to WonderLand, where we rode rollercoasters for the majority of the day (from 10:00AM to 6:00PM), and then I drove back another 5 hours. Had a blast, had more fun than I've ever had in a while hands down. Riding rollercoasters is an awesome exercise for the core :)

When I got home I crashed in my bed, fully dressed and completely burnt. 8 hours later I woke up and went to my newly acquired weekend job, welded 8 hours and made a very decent pay. Work hard, play hard!

In short, had an awesome weekend. :jumping:

Good Monday morning everyone!

I've had DOMs for 2 days now, welding really worked me out.

DOMs still present, but will be able to get a nice workout in tonight.

Tonight: Tabata squats, BP, assisted Pull ups and some heavy core work to make welding easier - welding sure is hard on the core. I got my AbMat and will give it a good shot. Will do some upper/lower ab exercises and some oblique exercises as well.

Been eating nice and clean for the last couple of days, I really feel like I have finaly found the will power and discipline to not eat junk.

Last night, for example. I ate 2 chicken breasts, cooked in canola oil, with some garlic, mushrooms and misc. spices. Ate a cucumber and a peach and had a bottle of water.

I did not eat this morning, but during lunch break I had some whole wheat pasta with some left over chicken breats from yesterday - with a bottle of water.

The only bad thing I've been having these last couple of days is coffee. Once I get rid of this addiction, I will have reached another milestone in my little quest to fitness.

On a side note - I have decided to go back to college for welding. I will start in 2 weeks and will go to college part time during evenings, twice per week for a total of 6 hours per week. At 300$ I can't really say no to this course. Since I work at a welding supplie store - I get special deals on all my gear! woohoo!

This will take up my evenings even more than before, soon I won't have a choice but to workout in the morning! GAH!

Good week everyone!

:boxing_smiley:

My Tabata score went up two points. From 6 to 8. 4 more points to go and I will have had a good amount pratice at the squat. I will be building a squat rack (thanks Johnny for the idea) sometime in the following weeks.

My pullups are getting easier. Body is changing but weight is maintaining. My lats are starting to really stand out. That flexband I order really helped me out.

I have been eating clean for a couple weeks now. Went to the restaurant last night (with twins! ;) ) and managed to order something decent. A small ceasar salad and some lean chicken and some veggies.

Went the the movies afterwards. I usualy always eat some popcorn, but it ain't part of my diet.

Came back, went to bed at 2AM woke up at 6AM and went to work :D

DOMs still showing up after workouts indicating I hit the targeted muscles like I should have.

Feeling great.

I got myself a partner, hope it works out - will make it clear to her that I won't help her out unless she will go through with the work I give her, we will be watching each others eating habits and give hell to one another if we do something that dosen't corolate to our goals.

One thing left to eliminate from my diet - coffee. I have 2-3 per morning each with one and a half spoons of sugar. Bad.

Good weekend everyone!

Once again, I take my leave from this forum.

This time I don't think I will be back...for a while anyways.

My reason for leaving is:

-1st job 45 hours per week. 8AM-5:30PM Mon-Fri
-2nd job 8 hours per weekend. Sat
-Welding apprenticeship (college) twice per week during evenings 6:30-9:30PM.
-Study to become a trainer (ISSA) in between these times.
-Lift weights 3 times per week.
-Cardio twice per week.

I still manage to find time to go out and have fun. My second job will speed some things up and hopefuly I won't have to do this much for more than a couple months.

Hope you all keep up thehard work!

Toodles.
