Texas Anyone?

Anyone here from Texas? What's it like.

I'm thinking about colleges now (I'm a junior in HS) and idk, I kinda like TX, but... don't know much about it lol. I still have no idea 1-where I want to go, or 2-what I want to major in. I'm in a fog right now =] So I'm just mindlessly wandering around states looking for something

My experiences while living in Texas-

SanAntonio is a really cool place to live. Austin is a really cool place to party. I'd rather die than live in Dallas.

There are a looooot of schools in TX. Which ones are you looking at?

Austin seems nice

You know, there's always California...

I learnt everything there is to know about Texas from Sandy on 'Spongebob Squarepants'. They are all church going patriots who say yee-ha a lot and eat far too many pork ribs while shooting guns in the air.

Someone please tell me that stereotype is accurate, I want to go :D

LOL.. no CCR, I'm afraid not!

wow Evo, what do you not like about Dallas?

I was born and raised in Dallas.. been here all of my life so of course I love it.. but I'm about ready for a change.

It is hot as hell though.

Where are you from Merc?

I went to the University of Texas in Austin and I loved it. I would highly recommend it. Austin is a great place to live and as someone already pointed out, party. The University is top notch, the school spirit is outstanding, the sports teams are national contenders and the facilities are great. Like all schools, some of the faculty are excellent and some are jack asses. Of course, I went there 30 years ago, so my info may be a little dated.

Yep. I was raised in Arlington (Dallas/Fort Worth). Still have some family there. If you go to UT, Austin is fantastic. Great place.

wow Evo, what do you not like about Dallas?

The driving drives me nuts. And from the Dallas I'm used to (Preston ritzy area), the amount of BMWs, Mercedes, and latte sipping Starbucks drinking people irritate me. Over all I think it's the driving that makes me want to pull my hair out.

LOL Evo.. yeah, I heat ya.. I guess growing up around it, it doesn't bother me much.

... and I can't complain about the drivers because I am one lol

gotta love stereotypes.

there are over-weight people every where.

You're very right, although purely by coincidence the fattest person in my office comes from Texas :D

Hang on a minute, I'm classified as obese now as well!! Damn :(
