Ok so today is our official start folks!!! :) C'mon and post away your starting weight..and we ARE rolling. I swear I won't let you guys down!!!

Ok.. Im still working on how to figure out putting this up in my signature, but here's a little graphic I made for us..!

Hi all!
I did NOT have a good weekend. Daughters' birthday party with all the leftovers was my ruin. *sigh* So I'm ready!!!
SW 164
I keep getting down to 162 and creeping back up - it's frustrating.
Well, I was having trouble getting motivated to take a run, but this new challenge is just the motivation I need. Thanks!

hey guys...sorry i am late...i worked 6p-6a last night and saturday night and i went to school today all day and just got home from therapy. I am a busy person. i know...ok....my starting weight is 247...My goal is 10 pounds less because I lost 5 pounds in about a week...If i get more...ROCK ON! but that is my goal. Good luck everyone...I will try and check in with you all as much as I can through my busy schedule..I usually check this everyday if not every other day.

O I forgot guys... I am meeting with a dietician/wt councelor this week...tomorrow first meeting...maybe some pointers can be given to you all as well...the more the better...we will win this battle!

Hi Team Conquest!
It's great that everyone seems to be "playing along"!
I very much appreciate the motivation of our team - I ran 2 miles (and I mean RAN) and walked another one. Never would've done it without the motivation of our team. Yay!
Oh - and I think my personal goal for this challenge is to enter the 150's! It'll be sooooo nice not to have to use that 150 marker on the scale.

oh, for a personal goal i'd be over the moon if i could hit the 60s (kilos), but my loss is usually quite slow - still, better to have a goal. frankly, if i'm less then than i am now that will be a victory :D

Hi guys!! Glad you are all here and posting! :D Looks like no one will need to br dropped off our team! I'm reall ymotivated guys to lose for this team, my goal wouldl be great to see the 140's.. But as Sheidi said, I'll be happy just to be less than I am now!!! ;)

Hey are we posting our one week weigh ins or are we waiting until the end of the challenge?: My goal lately is to work hard to get 60 minutes of cardio in each day.. :D So I hope to def. see a loss by next Monday!!

Good luck to everyone!!!

Go Conquest! For the win. I can tell that we're all pumped and ready to lose. Why don't we introduce ourselves so that we can get to know who we're losing with? I'll start ...

I'm 36, married, 2 daughters ages 4 and 2, I work part time as a teacher - two days a week, I live in So. Calif. near Disneyland.

I was always thin. Gained weight when I met my husband (to 145), gained more when we got married (to 165), gained more weight on Clomid (to 175). After my first pregnancy, I got down to 180. After my second pregnancy I got down to 185 when I started this diet on July 7, 2005. So far, I've lost 21 lbs. about which I am thrilled, but now I'm starting from scratch and needing to lose the remaining 19 lbs. I'd like to lose a total of 40 lbs. in one year. I hope I can do it!

I don't follow any program. I do hard core cardio and some weight lifting. Cycle/spin, kickboxing, step/sculpt, and I run on the treadmill. I walk a bit, but find that I get more out of the others. I generally exercise 4 times a week. The other days I either walk or jump on the trampoline w/ my girls.

Looking forward to getting to know all my teammates!

Happy Valentine's Day to my team members!!! :D

Mommyof2, that's an excellent idea a little intro to everyone is great! I love it! :) Also, wow you are doing really great!!! I am impressed with your loss so far and am confident you'll shed those remaining pounds! :)

So here's a little about me!
I'm 27yrs old, engaged to be married in June to a wonderful man. ()

I work as an office manager in a financial investment firm here in central Virginia. I have two wonderful doggies that are our children at the moment! I've always struggled with my weight. I'm a mesomorph, built thick and sturdy, more like a fire plug. I know I will never be waif thin and that's OK, I like my curves.. just, don't want them to curve too widely! ;) All of my sisters have the same dilemma, as we all love food and were raised to clean our plates. :D So I've yo-yo'd with my weight alot, I'm a self-confessed emotional eater/binger. So my ony program is attempting to recognize why I eat when I eat and what I eat. Its a slow process, sort of like..recovering alcoholics.. its easy to slip off the wagon. Hard to get back on etc. :) But I feel pretty confident about going all the way this time. Ultimately I'd like to see 125lbs, but I'd be happy to see anything in the 130's by my June wedding!

Hey guys....
I am Sara...Sara No H because my sister in law is also Sarah with an H. It became my nickname when I met my wonderful husband, brian. His family had to find a way to distinguish us and I always have said that that is my biggest pet peeve. I hate when someone spells my name wrong. So my liscense plate even says SaraNoH. So it kinda stuck with me and now everyone calls me saranoh.
I am married like I said. His name is Brian. We got married in May 2004. I am 23 (24 in march) and he is 25. We have a kitty named Bentley and an annoying little beagle named Chubs. (He weighs 45 pounds hence the name). But we love them to death and they are our family.
I was always very active with sports in high school and never had a problem with my weight. Now, however, I am not very active and have gained a lot of weight. I used to be 165 but not I am 247. I hope to get just to 180. I think I looked a little sick actually in high school because I was so skinny. I am 6 ft tall. I became inactive when my foot hurt with everything I did.
I recently in Nov just had surgery on my foot. I had a bunion and a hammertoe with the second toe. My dr. fixed that and he also realigned the joint in my arch of my foot. Right now I have 4 permanent screws in my foot. I am still undergoing therapy, hopefully ending Wednesday. Its a slow healing process, but I feel better now than I ever did before the surgery. The right foot needs done next but I think Ill be putting it off for as long as I can.
Anyways...I hope to loose a few pounds this challenge. I met with my wt councelor today and she helped me get an idea of what some of my goals are. I meet with a dietician on March 1. So hopefully I am heading in the right direction and can stay that way. Good luck and lets kick some butt!

Oh, New Leaf, I was CRACKING up over "wedsite"! Too funny! You and your husband-to-be look like such nice people. I absolutely love being married - I hope you do, too. I was also married in June. We'll celebrate 8 years this June. Phew! Made it past 7 - isn't that the big test?

Sara - that's quite a story about your foot. I'm so glad that you were able to resolve the problem. I know how intense foot pain can be. I broke my foot in Aug. 03 while 15 wks. pregnant w/ daughter #2. I had an 18 month old. It was a nightmare! The ER doc misdiagnosed it as a simple fracture. REfused to refer me to an orthopedist or even a podiatrist. Well, after months it still hurt so I insisted on seeing a podiatrist who said it was a displaced fracture and should've been operated on immediately. Walking on it all those months had detached the tendon. Meanwhile, I wwas then in my 3rd trimester and couldn't have surgery. Had to wait till my baby was born and 3 months old. They removed the bone that was displaced and reattached my tendon. I had to stay on my back for 6 weeks. After that I was on crutches for another month. All told I was in a cast or on crutches for 11 months! It was another year before I could get back to working out. What a disaster, huh? So - all this is to say - I understand your pain!!!

Youch...all of those foot problems *cringe* I almost broke my toe, once...I was in a hurry to practice my piano so my teacher wouldn't kill me and I was running into the living room and my foot caught the corner of the tv entertainment center...of course that was the day I had to go to my geography class and piano lesson. I couldn't even walk for a couple of days and had to crawl to the bathroom, but it got better. I can't imagine the pain y'all have gone through...yeesh.

Today my food has been terrible (okay, I've eating HEALTHY foods, but way more than I needed), and I havn't exercised. I have however drunk 3 mugs of green tea with extra antioxidants in it, so that's good...and I'm going to have a cup of unsweetened ice tea sweetened with spelnda, after a while. And water.

Today I've just been so tired! I don't know why, either. I went to bed a little after ten and got up at 8.30...I've certainly had a lot of caffiene from my tea...but I'm just so tired. I think I'll go to bed early tonight!

Hey everyone! I read that getting adequate and extra sleep helps with weight loss. Sleep away, everyone!
