My absolute favorite herbal tea from Teavana is called
Peppermint Organic Herbal:drool5:

Teavana Description
This pure peppermint tisane is extremely refreshing. It also makes an excellent after-dinner drink, since it helps to aid digestion and is very helpful against irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) or curbing acid reflux. Soothes stomach and throat, calms nerves, and relieves aches and pains. Peppermint helps with Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Acid Reflux.

It's very minty. I am extremely refresh after drinking this. It has a cooling sensation and for me, the flavor is between strong and medium. The brew color is a rich golden shade and the aroma is of strong mint. This is a staple in our house.
Sometimes after I drink this I find that my appetite for food is less than before.
Brew Instructions:
1.4tsp 208 degrees 5-6min
It's $4.30/2oz loose

I'm a tea drinker. I must have about 30 different kinds right now.
In the morning I drink 2 cups Earl Gray or English breakfast tea.
I like to try teas from all over the world. I have some organic loose leaf tea from India.
I also drink 1-2 cups of decaf tea in the evening. Usually a spice or fruit blend
In the summer I like to make Thai ice tea. I'm having a hard time finding the loose leaf kind that I like.
I'm very fussy about how my tea's made. I have several tea pots and different cups like to use depending on the tea or mood I'm in at the moment.

I don't like coffee or anything coffee flavored.

I drink tea several times a day too.
Yesterday, I picked up a Zojirushi Water Boiler/Warmer.

I was skeptical since it cost $150 but I have to say that I love it already.
I have tea instantly brewed all day. I can just go right to it and press dispense and out comes water at the perfect temp for which ever tea I'm making.

We have about 6 different loose leaf tea in the house right now. But we get brand new flavors as old ones run out.
Also, I use ingredients to make homemade tea as well.
For example:
I have chamomile blooms and dried spearmint leaves bought from my local store in the spices/seasoning section. I use it to make a homemade herbal.
Actually, thanks to hubby bringing home germs from the office I've been sick.
So I've come up with this tea that makes me feel good.

Recipe:
Chamomile Blooms
Spearmint Leaves
Honey
Freshly Squeezed Lemon
3 Strawberries (mashed)

Boil everything for 5 minutes. Then strain into mug.

Tastes a little like "Thera Flu" lol but better. The tea will be a really pretty pink color because of the strawberries

I got a Keurig for Christmas so I've been buying all kinds of tea kcups. It's fantastic! I love the India Spice chai tea, English Breakfast Tea and Authentic green.

Where do you get your teas? What does India Spice Chai taste like?
I'm drinking Samurai Chai as I type this. It taste almost like Big Red gum lol. It's very good.

I get some at Bed Bath and Beyond but mostly I order them from Amazon.
It's kind of gingery with a hint of vanilla. It's kind of hard to describe.

I never thought of making my own blend of tea. Lemon and honey is always good in tea when you don't feel good.
All this talk about tea and I just had to go make some for myself. I'm having orange zinger right now.
That Zojirushi Water Boiler/Warmer sounds nice. Once summer hits I will only drink hot tea in the morning. The rest of the day I drink it iced.

Review of Samurai Chai
This is a Mate’ tea. It's actually my first Mate' tea and I didn't know what to expect but I wanted to try something different. It tastes a lot like Big Red gum and has a robust flavor. The first flavor to introduce itself to me was the cinnamon. I feel that it’s the strongest flavor in this tea. There are hints of citrus as well. I definitely taste the blends of Indian spices. If caffeine gives you the jitters, this may not be the tea for you. Samurai Chai is a full bodied tea that's supposed to be inspired by "the way of the warrior". Because of it's strong flavor, it may be hard to combine/mix/blend this one with others unless it's also a chai tea. In my opinion, it also holds up well to second brews without becoming seriously weaker. If you are not allergic to nuts you might want to try this one. Great for winter!
Overall Body-Robust
Aroma- Aromatic
Brew Color- Orange Sunset
Strongest Flavor- Cinnamon
Best Time To Drink- Evening
Recommend?- Yes (contains nuts)
# Of Brews- I can brew 1.5tsp twice without losing it's strength
Price- You can find it at Teavana or Amazon $6.20/2oz loose
Ingredients- Green Mate, Red Rooibos, cinnamon, candied pineapple bits, orange peel, lemongrass, aniseed, coriander, cardamom, almonds, and cornflower blossoms.
Directions- 1.5 tsp 208 degrees 5-6 min

Types of Tea and their Health Benefits - Web MD

Types of Teas and Their Health Benefits

* Green tea: Made with steamed tea leaves, it has a high concentration of EGCG and has been widely studied. Green tea’s antioxidants may interfere with the growth of bladder, breast, lung, stomach, pancreatic, and colorectal cancers; prevent clogging of the arteries, burn fat, counteract oxidative stress on the brain, reduce risk of neurological disorders like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases, reduce risk of stroke, and improve cholesterol levels.
* Black tea: Made with fermented tea leaves, black tea has the highest caffeine content and forms the basis for flavored teas like chai, along with some instant teas. Studies have shown that black tea may protect lungs from damage caused by exposure to cigarette smoke. It also may reduce the risk of stroke.
* White tea: Uncured and unfermented. One study showed that white tea has the most potent anticancer properties compared to more processed teas.
* Oolong tea: In an animal study, those given antioxidants from oolong tea were found to have lower bad cholesterol levels. One variety of oolong, Wuyi, is heavily marketed as a weight loss supplement, but science hasn’t backed the claims.
* Pu-erh tea: Made from fermented and aged leaves. Considered a black tea, its leaves are pressed into cakes. One animal study showed that animals given pu-erh had less weight gain and reduced LDL cholesterol.

Here are some findings:

* Chamomile tea: Its antioxidants may help prevent complications from diabetes, like loss of vision and nerve and kidney damage, and stunt the growth of cancer cells.
* Echinacea: Often touted as a way to fight the common cold, the research on echinacea has been inconclusive.
* Hibiscus: A small study found that drinking three cups of hibiscus tea daily lowered blood pressure in people with modestly elevated levels.
* Rooibos (red tea): A South African herb that is fermented. Although it has flavonoids with cancer-fighting properties, medical studies have been limited.

I bought a tea called Sweet Dreams herb tea made by bigelow says it's a blend of Chamomile & mint says it's all natural. After only a few sips I got all stuffed up and wheezy. It has several things in it so now I need to figure out what it is I must be allergic to. I've never had that happen with tea before. I'm going to compare the ingredients with the other teas I have so maybe I can find out which one it is.

the ingredients are: Chamomile, hibiscus, peppermint leaves, rose blossoms, spearmint leaves, spice, orange blossoms.

Oh I've seen that in stores!
I was looking it up just now and what's so strange is that people say they take this FOR their allergies LOL:hat:

Rose Hips allergy symptoms are similar to what you described. It's not easy to pin point an allergy when the recipe is a mix. It could be anything.
Did you figure out what ingredient it was?

How does hibiscus tea taste? I am... not a fan of chamomile tea, but I'm curious about the hibiscus. Normally I just drink English breakfast ;)

I found this from answerbag:
Plain hibiscus tea tastes quite sour, although it has sweet undertones that are enhanced through the addition of sugar or another sweetener. The exact flavor of hibiscus tea depends on how strongly it is brewed, what variety of hibiscus is used and whether there are other ingredients in the tea.
Someone else said:
"Very sweet and slightly tart aftertaste. Loved the scent!

I don't usually like floral teas myself so I'm always cautious of getting petals or blooms in my mixes. Especially Jasmine. But camomile is one of the exceptions for me. I really like it.

Two ingredients I don't see in any of the other teas I have are orange blossoms and Chamomile.

I don't know if I ever tried any chamomile tea before. Maybe I should buy plain Chamomile tea and try it just to see it that's the one. As I'm getting older I have been developing more and more allergies to foods and medications.

Various types of teas like Oolong, Per’uh and Feiyan are available in the market
Oolong helps in preventing our body from absorbing Dextrose
Pe’ur tea commonly known as ‘Medicinal tea’ helps reducing blood cholesterol
Feiyan tea has a pleasant taste and it has all the properties of a slimming tea. It has less caffeine content, a natural diuretic and laxative, improve metabolism and control appetite.
Senna, an important ingredient in all diet teas is a laxative and appetite controller which helps in preventing excess calorie intake resulting in shedding lots of pounds.

We buy our chamomile for about $2 which gives us enough to fill a quart.

Snappy I had never heard of Feiyan Tea until you posted it here.
Apparently it was named after a very slender Empress of China from the Han dynasty. She's known as one of the four great beauties of China's history. I read about her life and it's a very interesting read. It didn't end well though...

I have no idea about the time. However, you can visit the site below may be you can find your answers about different types of tea & its resource.
