Alright you future gym bunnies, I'm calling you out!

If all goes well, by the end of march or beginning of April I'm gonna be at my MG of less than 200, at that point I'm gonna start strength training! So here's what I'm thinking, at the end of april I'm gonna pull up a fitness summer challenge, that lasts 4 months =| crazy eh? lol

If you're in, you have until the end of april to do what you wish (hopefully lose alot) and then on may 1st you have to post a current picture of yourself, somewhat revealing :p... so guys, shirtless? girls, if ur not comfortable with underwear pics thats fine, lets throw on some tight clothes so we can see the body shape haha. Then the thread will pretty much die out for 4 months of GRIND :mad: after which we can post after pictures to see what the difference was!

... pretty much, im gonna do this cuz university has a 4 month break lol, so for me it's not a challenge it's a goal; muscle. i just thought if it sounded interesting to anyone else they could jump in :p

and well if it doesn't, oh well, i'll run the challenge with myself anyway :p


P.S. i realize im posting this WELL in advance so im sure the thread is going to die out before end of april, im just giving u guys a heads up, in case anyone is in the same goal region as me. u have until end of april. :)
 
so, the goal is to become as buff as possible? or toning etc?

I think he's not wanting to start until April, but I have already taken photos for the Taxing Challenge and will see where I am when this one begins.
 
lol, challenge is open to both sexes! And it's not to get buffed, i don't wanna get buffed lol, maybe a little toned.

anyway, I just thought it would be fun to post up our pics at the beginning of summer and then at the end
 
I don't wanna wait until april though to start - I'm starting with pictures (ugh - don't blame me when your monitors break) on March 1 :)
 
I'll join on the 1st of May...

There's no way I am going to lose all my excess weight before then have about 28 pounds to go. But I am guessing I can lose about 15-20 by that time and work on the last 10 or so pounds plus toning for the summer.


o.k. Nem....I'm in....and by that time I should feel o.k. in a bikini for the before pic (if you saw the current pic I posted about a week ago).

his challenge d oesn't officially start til the end of the month - I wanted to go early just to get myself motivated.

the schedule to keep is the one you set for yourself... Challenge yourself to be all you can be and all that :)
 
I would love to do this plus I found out that is about the time Golds gym openeds up very close to me (6 blocks away walking distance).
I have been wanting to get my butt to the gym and I have a month
before this challange to lose a little and maybe I won't feel so self contious

mal stop putting urself down, there is a HUGE difference from ur pic at 275 and the one now, and the ppl that commented on ur other pic are right, i'd say u are much less than 249 from looking at u!

Confidence baby, that's what makes a woman sexy ;)

I'll post my pics at end of april, or maybe at 199, we'll see how it goes... or shit should I just post them now since everyone is doin it? haha
 
Day 1 of the summer challenge for me:

treadmill
30 minutes/2 miles
15 minutes/1.5 miles

Other (I really need to learn the names of these exercises)
Lat Pull Down
75 lbs 4 sets of 10
Seated Row
60 lbs 4 sets of 10
ball wall squats
4 sets of 15
Bent over row w/ dumbells
15 lbs 3 sets of 10

Left nice and sweaty :)
 
Worked late last night so didn't make it to the gym - workout consisted of 1 mile walk to the furthest subway station in the snow, cold and wind (how many calories burned whining? :D

Went to the gym this morning before heading into work for server work that needs to be done.

treadmill
I like this routine for now
lap 1 3.9 mph 2 incline
lap 2 4.0 mph 3 incline
lap 3 3.9 mph 0 incline (this is the rest level)
lap 4 4.1 mph 1.5 incline (huff huff puff puff)
lap 5 3.9 mph 1 incline
lap 6 4.0 mph 3 incline
lap 7 4.1 mph 0 incline
lap 8 3.9 mph 4 incline
(that somehow took just under 30 minutes, not sure how but it did)
lap 9 and 10 3.8 mph 2 incline dropping down to 3.5 mph 0 incline
lap 11 til I hit 40 minutes 3.3 mph 0 incline

Weights
lateral pulldown
80 lbs
3 sets of 12

Seated row
50 lbs
3 sets of 12

Chest press
50 lbs
3 sets of 10

Bent over row
20 lbs
3 sets on 15
(one of the badder ass trainers said nice job to me but next time go heavier -- really? cool)

Ball Wall Squats
3 sets of 15 with 5 lb dumbells in each hand (I wanted heavier but the 10 were too heavy and the 8s were in use)
