Weight-Loss Subway

Weight-Loss
hmm after reading ur comments.. im determined to eat more home-cooked meals.. food in restaurants and elsewhere just cannot be trusted haha.. no matter how healthy they may claim to be..

I used to be a Subway Sandwich artist... hehe...
Yep the tuna is packed in water. It has been well over 10 years since I have worked there. When I did, the mayo that was bought was "Heavy Duty Mayo", since think I think they have switched to a light mayo. When we made the tuna salad, we cut a hole in the top of the mayo container and squeezed a big bunch into the tuna and mixed it up. Vioala! Anyhows, my favorite is the seafood and crab, it has mayo in it too. But I have since started making my own subs like Wishes said.

Haha, I worked there as well about 2 years ago, and when you sai Sandwich Artist, it made me chuckle frm remembering when they told us that.

But the roasted chicken breast is just a large patty of chicken scrapings covered in batter - how can you say thats healthy?
That was what i ordered one of the few times i went, and was astounded that they could consider 'roasted chicken' could be a giant chicken nugget

Really?

I like to get the Foot Long Roasted Chicken Sandwiches on Wheat with JUST lettuce, tomatoes, and American Cheese.

I eat one half after I buy it and another an hour or so later.

:(

I enjoy It

I enjoy a good sub from subway. I haven't tried to tuna sub and I think now I won't ever try it. I like subway for there variety, just need to watch what you put on it.

I always get a footlong spicy italian on honey oat with lettuce, onion, carrot, olives, cucumber, swiss cheese...with ranch dressing...

My fave is the cold cut trio or veggie delight, always on parmesan oregano, with all veggies except onions, southwest & mustard dressing.. ;)

I eat the 6" long.. but someone told me the amounts of ingredients they use in the usa is more than in other countries... So I'm not so sure..

i used to love having foot-long meatball sandwich with all the veggies and cheese...

best food ever!

but probably over 800 calories

Subway is a better alternative than going to the other fast food places. I just have a hard time not getting a bag of cheetos or chips to go with my sandwich.

I like the veggie delight with light mayo or no mayo at all. Or I've had the teriyaki chicken in a wrap instead of their bread.

Amen to that. I tend to get low-fat chips and a diet drink but that is with a football roasted chicken with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes....thats it...on wheat

Good amount of calroies :(

biscuits = cookies?

they've got them in the display case by the register -and the paper that they are on is translucent from the butter leaching out of the cookie :) I'm glad I'm not a fan of sweets because they could seriously be tempting :)

Lately my go - to lunch as been a subway wheat bread turkey w/ lettuce tomato pickels and green peppers w/ honey mustard... I need to start bringing lunch from home again :)

Am thinking of subway today for lunch....need a quick fix....foot long wheat, roast beef with just lettuce/tomatoes....

I usually eat one half and then an hour later eat the other :)

I am a fan of the veggie myself. I love it with all the veggies except the jalepenos and no cheese or dressings of any kind. I know it sounds dry but really after you eat a sandwich or two with no mayo or mustard or anything like that you can really learn to like it. At least I did!!

mustard yuk!!! I do not eat the stuff if I have to. I can eat it if it is mixed in to something but by itself NO WAY!!

You guys do realize you can go to the grocery store and buy a pound of roast beef/chicken/turkey and a wheat bread for the grand total of $10 right? I get Roman meal bread, which is whole grain. Get a pound of Sara Lee Turkey or Roast beef, thin sliced and I can have lunch for a week.

Subway is a rip, I wouldn't even consider their sandwhichs Subs. Not to mention I need to get a pound of banana peppers on any sub there just to choke it down.

SUBWAY - What's the best Sub?

Just curious about what everyone thinks the best Sub is. Not to eat, but the fat content, calorie count and protein amount.

Which is the best sub for you to have?

I'm about to go and get a chicken breast sub, with lettuce, tomato and onions, a little South West sauce and added meatball sauce. Yum.

I think the lowest everything sub is the Veggie Delight, but I like some flavour.. and some meat in my subs.

Here is the (you need Adobe Reader).

Thanks! Check back later. -Runs off to go to subway-

P.S,
How is the sodium in the Chicken Breast? Good or no?
UK RDA for Sodium is 1600.

Back from Subway. Was a nice chicken breast.

Bump. Anyone?
