Subway, HELP!!! lol

I never know what to order at Subway, so I always order the same thing cuz I hate when I go in there and they just stare at me waiting for me to hurry up and order. lol.

So anyone know what I can order, something good, and nice and healthy?

Thanks.

subway sandwich

i went to the subway website(my country) and checked out the nutritional information.. it states that for a classic 6" tuna sub, the total fat is 31g, the highest amount of fat among all the subs! take for example the italian B.M.T has 21g of fat, Turkey Breast, Ham and Bacon Melt has 12g of fat, etc.. i'm quite surprised.. i thought tuna would have less fat than the other two? can anyone tell me why? the calories for tuna sub is also higher - 528cal.. whereas B.M.T has 451 cal and the bacon melt has 380cal.. ???

because the major ingredient in tuna fish- is mayonaisse... tuna itself is good but when you add in the amount of mayo they do - it no longer becomes good :D

I am addicted to foot long roasted chickens on wheat with just lettuce and tomatoes.

Too much food though....I know :(

you seriously dont believe the crap about it being a diet food just because of some tv ads did you ? :D

Im betting the tuna is in oil too lol :D

i have never eaten subway.
dont think we have one
and this means i am missing out on an opportunity to talk about food :(

But we're not trying to be on a diet, we're trying to figure out a new sustainable lifestyle. And - a 400 calorie Subway sandwich is a lot better than a 1200 calorie ciabatta burger from Jack in the Box!

I worked at subway, the tuna has a LOT of mayo in it....i think they buy tuna in water, but yeah, not healthy. Your best bet is a sandwich w/o condiments.

tuna in oil has a much richer taste - especially tuna packed in olive oil - oh yummy :D

i'd guess that subway's tuna is water packd :D

my biggest issue with subway is the sodium content - it's brutal...

I just think their food sucks, it tastes like crap and is mostly poor quality meat + mayo and cheese in everything.

For less cost i can go buy a salad, meat, roll and make one three times the size and half the calories :)

I used to be a Subway Sandwich artist... hehe...
Yep the tuna is packed in water. It has been well over 10 years since I have worked there. When I did, the mayo that was bought was "Heavy Duty Mayo", since think I think they have switched to a light mayo. When we made the tuna salad, we cut a hole in the top of the mayo container and squeezed a big bunch into the tuna and mixed it up. Vioala! Anyhows, my favorite is the seafood and crab, it has mayo in it too. But I have since started making my own subs like Wishes said.

I love Subway. Its a much better alternative to fast food. Go with a chicken on wheat. I enjoy the bacon and chicken ranch when bulking. However during weight loss, a customized oven roasted chicken breast or chicken teriyaki is excellent.

But the roasted chicken breast is just a large patty of chicken scrapings covered in batter - how can you say thats healthy?
That was what i ordered one of the few times i went, and was astounded that they could consider 'roasted chicken' could be a giant chicken nugget

Subway was actually one of my first jobs as a teenager. If I have to eat out and it is fast food that is where I will go. A lot of people forget to that you can just get a salad there loaded up with lean meats and veggies! Don't have to get the bread;) But yeah there are far worst out meals to have then some subway, I would just rather have my own.

Same here, I like subway...the one by me has a veggie patty that tastes really good...I was very surprised when I had it...that was the first time I ever had a veggie patty..it almost tasted like a mile italian sausage...and some of their condiments are low or no fat...you can get any one of their subs made in to a big salad..I get that quite a bit...saves on the bread...if I do get the sub, I always get whole wheat...but it is true--the sodium in some of their stuff is crazy!!
