I will also issue a new mini-challenge every week to help keep things spicy!! a winner from each team will be announced for bragging rights! The first week, we'll have enough momentum going, so no mini-challenge this week, but look for it starting next Friday!

Ok so other people are chit chatting in their thread so I figured we can too. :)

How was everyones first day??

Mine was ehhhhh. Went over my calories. I actually ate 2100 calories today. I almost started to binge but I stopped myself. Like I had the snack cake in my hand but talked myself out of it, lol So I'm happy about that. I only did 30mins on the stationary bike today. I'm definitely stepping my game up tomorrow though.

I also wanted to add, Twiist made my signature picture (thanks again!), so if anyone wants to use it for your sig then be my guest. :) REPRESENT!!!!!!!! WORD! LOL...haha

I'm taking a cool picture for everyones entertainment tomorrow so check back for that.
 
Congrats on the self control Nik!

Day one was pretty good for me. Have not been able to go shopping yet so I did the best I could with what I had.

Yesterday I ate:

Breakfast : 3/4 cup dry cereal
1/2 cup 1% milk
Banana

Lunch : Salad
2 tablespoons low cal dressing
1/3 cup sliced peaches (in water, no sugar)

Dinner: Grilled chicken
1/3 cup whole grain rice
1/3 cup sliced peaches

Not that I plan to write everything I eat in every post but I was impressed with myself considering Friday is normally pizza night (my favorite food) and I could easily finish most of one myself, not to mention all soda I drink everyday. But today I only drank water, no sugar, no caffeine, which would explain the headache I had all day and still have!

I did exercise. In fact I moved my elliptical machine and free weights out of the basement and into my living room. (very attractive!) I figured I might actually use them. I only did 20 mins on the elliptical because I was spent from dragging it up the stairs myself. Well, that and I couldn't stop sneezing. Maybe it was the half inch of dust that had accumulated on it from lack of use! LOL!

Hey guys! Good first day for me as well. I will be continuing to post my food for the day in my journal on here... but i wanted to share two thiiiings.

1) Went to Red Lobster last night and i reeeeaaaally wanted to have a sunset colada. It is or... i guess was my favvv alcoholic drink. pinacolada flavor with strawberry syrup and yummmm. My bf was like... well you never drink them anymore just have one! I said... uh... well... i want it but.... grrr. NO! I CANT. I have a weightloss team and i cannot let these girls down!!!! so i passed it up. So just for shits and giggs... i looked up calorie content of one of those suckers this morning.... 360 calories in ONE!!! WHewwwwie.
So i skipped that one!!

2) got the woodgrilled shrip, scallops and chicken dinner. asked for NO BUTTERY GARLIC sauce on ANYTHING!!!! got broccoli as my side, and allowed myself 1 biscut :)


other than that my lunch and breakfast was very light today and the snacks were healthy if i had one at all.


worked out today as well!

My first day was FANTASTIC!! I went for a 3 mile hike early in the day, then at night I went for a quick jog. I only drank water, which sometimes I drink iced tea which I figure isn't bad at all cause it's unsweetened no calories or sugar..just caffeine which boosts metabolism anyway right!
Anyway, for some reason I just wasn't that hungry yesterday so my calories were a bit low.

I'm a bit nervous today because theres a bar crawl tonight and I don't want to overdo it with the alcohol! I'm tempted to just not go but then I'll let my friends down..ahhh..don't know what to do!

Ok so I took my pictures today, I will post them whenever my friend can put my screen name on them, lol I tried to do it myself but my computer won't let me. Yeah, I'm working with a major piece of crap computer. Ugh!

I believe that you are right Nik. Since I am a guy...and I am Gordo, I think it work for me! LOL! :smilielol5:

Seriously....I go to work at an orphanage in Guatemala every summer with my church and the orphans gave me the nickname "Gordo". It bothered me at first but when I didn't go this year and I heard the kids were upset because Gordo was not there.....it made me feel alot better about the nickname. But that said one of my goals is to surprise the kids by losing a bunch of weight. Hence the screen name Gordo2Flaco, fat to skinny! Kinda lame I guess but it was the best I could come up with, on the spur of the moment.
 
lol! Wow. That is kind of funny though. Awww they miss you! I think it's great that you do that w/ your church. That would be so cool if you could go back and surprise them like that!! :) Extra motivation eh?

Do any of you have a routine? As far as eating or exercise for this challenge? Or is everyone kind of just going w/ the flow?

Hi peeps! Sorry I joined late. I was out on the farms all week and didn't have access to the internet. I heard about this challenge from M Marie's journal. I found out the ending date is my birthday and I figured I can't pass up this challenge. Perfect time for a new challenge because after 13 months of losing weight I have gained back 13 lbs in the last 2 months. So I'm ready to get back on track.

Ok so I have a question for yall...

Do any of you have a routine? As far as eating or exercise for this challenge? Or is everyone kind of just going w/ the flow?

I'm pretty much going with the flow..but I am going to try to jog everyday so I can work it up to where I can just run a few miles..and I'm trying to stay under 1200 calories

i just try to be as consistent each day as possible.....

for the challange... i wanna try to incorporate more weight lifting ... i think i need that to boost my fat burn.... i have been stagnant at 125-127 for about 6 weeks now....

gotta change something so i will be experimenting!!!:party:
 
Yeah, I'm pretty much going with the flow too. I mean I would like to stay between 1400-1600calories a day (never going under 1200) and exercise at least 1 hour a day, we'll see how it goes.

Yesterday I did 2 1/2hrs on the stationary bike and and stayed within my calories.:hurray:

So, does anyone have any special events coming up or anything that you want to look great for? I see Derrick has his birthday coming up.:party:

I would love to get some family pictures done around Christmas time. Wouldn't mind looking great for that, lol;) and my birthday is Jan. 21st 2010.
