Whats so special about reading so fast? Even if you could read 900 words pm id rather a nice and comfy pace to soak everything and understand. (of course it depends on what your reading i.e complicated). Its kind of like soaring through a wild park on a motorbike missing all the features and detail, when it would be better to go at a more standard pace.
I use to hate books but im starting to get back into them. Non fictional ones though - like A Brief History of Time and the Selfish Gene.
