Thanks Drex, some of that wasn't in 9 days though. The weight wasn't. Thats been a 6 week thing and the inches actually were a work in progress too. I just kept better track in the 9 days :)

Great results!!! Very cool. Keep up the good work.

And you're right about the cheating thing. I had to bake in bulk for others about a month ago, and it is a completely different temptation to fight off. Raw cookie dough and brownie batter tempts me more than the actual baked goods themselves...

I don't know whats up with the site today. I hope its not just my computer. Anyway, Thanksgiving was nice. We had it twice with different family. I ate GOBS of turkey and just a little of the other "bad" stuff. I suppose I'm not used to even the little "bad" stuff cause my stomach went on massive rebellion. I've kept up workouts because I could. Thanksgiving day I did 45 min eliptical and 15 min stairs and a 5 mi walk at night with my husband. This morning I got up early and did my old 5 mi run route around my old neighborhood. Another walk fro about 3 mi in the afternoon and then this evening we went to the gym to let the kids run and play (seriously, they love our childcare, its really fun) so I did another 3 mi run, 15 min interval stairs and 15 min interval bike. I'd say any damage I did from the holidays, is undone. However, I did have a hamburger after my workout. lol. oh well.

Glad to hear you had a good holiday, but I have to ask... what's wrong with hamburger?

that is a lot of activity! are you sweating alot, or has it cooled quite a bit?

and I think you runnin the 1/2 vineman without a shirt would be acceptable...hahahah not really-- but maybe for warm up and cool down time.

It's close to sunday, so i will keep it clean..... maybe
bye....*ducking**

:)

well uh, it was the carls jr portabello mushroom one, with all the good stuff on it :) at 9:00 PM! I didn't gain from it this morning.

Its cooled a LOT I had tears tumbling down and my throat was burning yesterday morning because of the chill. I think it was around 35 when we woke up. Reached a cozy 63 later but the mornings are chilly

yeah I know, but it wasn't starbucks I wanted, for once. I wanted REAL food-and NON turkey, thank you very much. I think that was probably the first time I've eaten genuine fast food since I was prego with #2...7 years ago-so cut me some slack! I nevvveeerrrr do that but I was practically frantic for food after that 2nd (or 3rd) workout yesterday.

I took the weekend off and its been good. I've been battling a cold and pretty big sore throat so its wise anyway. I went to try and get my bike fitted yesterday and found I'm going to have to get a new bike. Mine is just a tad big and its making a big difference in my power and comfort. Yesterday I was actually stressing about it much of the day before I went "duh, what are you doing" and just prayed and let it go. Its ridiculous to worry over such petty things. Lo and behold today my friends husband emailed me and asked if I knew anyone who needed a bike for the season. Unbelievable the power of prayer. I raised my hand :) He has a gently used Trek 5900 OCLV Carbon with Ultegra components and Ksyrium wheels that is to my dimentions. OMG if you know bikes this is a GREAT bike and a LOT of money (probably retails over 3K). I can get probably about 600 out of mine and he's asking 1000 and willing to work payments. OOOOOMIGOSH. If this is my answer to prayer I'm stoked! Anyway I'm off to Costco, where I'll probably spend a ridiculous amount of money for the church cafe.

Yeah, that bike would go for 3K easy on the used market! I just bought (yesterday) a new 2006 Orbea Onix frame and am gonna assemble it with Sram Rival components and Ksyrium wheels. I will have invested almost twice what you paid for yours for a similar bike.

Great find for sure!

wow thats really great! Well I'm not sure the cool bike is going to work out. I'm not able to sell my bike as quick as he is ready to get rid of it. If it ends up still there by the time I need it, great, but I seriously doubt it. I'm bummed cause that was a steal. Gator and FF would you be willing to keep an eye out for me for a bike? You know as well as I do the good stuff and I'm on a pretty strict budget of 1000 or under. Frame only would be okay too. In that case my budget is more like 600. I have ultegra components so I don't mind keeping the good stuff and just switching out the frame. I'm looking for a STANDARD 51-52cm frame. None of that compact frame stuff. thats what got me in trouble this last time.

I got my bike from a guy that I was talking to about doing triathlons.... he asked me if I had a bike and I said "a mountian bike." hahahahaha my first bike was loaned to me. my second one was given to me, and then taken away! and now I don't even have one.,

I'd be glad to rent your $100 walmart bike.

you are not a wanna be.

Ya know, I forgot to ask what size frame he had. The smaller frames for women and smaller men less than 54 cm do tend to sell for less and tend to sell more slowly. How quickly does he want to sell it?

There are two Trek 5900 for sale on Ebay with Dura Ace stuff; one is $1300 and the other is $2500. But, you can't tell from the pics how worn out the stuff is. And while I have bought aluminum and steel frame bikes off eBay with great success, I would be a little leery of buying a CF frame because defects can be hidden on them.

So, $1000 for a lightly used bike is a great price.

Wave $100 in front of him to hold the bike and ask him to accept installments...

There certainly is no need to upgrade from Ultegra - it is fine stuff (although I prefer Campy but will go with Sram on the Orbea). You are looking for a 51 - 52 cm frame. What is wrong with your current frame? And what do you currently have, CF, aluminum, or steel, and what do you want? CF or aluminum?

I bought my current bike off ebay and it was a steal at 575. It had 400 miles on it when I got it. I've probably put about 1000 on it in the past year. It has some wear on the paint but no structural damage. The frame is aluminum. I'm with ya on being leery of CF off ebay, you just never know and that stuff is so soft and vulnerable. I'm looking for something lighter than I have between 50-52cm depending on the brand. I'm 5'6 but I'm mostly legs. I'm thinking if I get on the smaller size I just use a longer stem if I need to adjust. That'll work right? Worst case scenario I'd like another aluminum frame with a carbon front and rear fork.

oh and his frame is a 51cm
