Some progress.

With the information I gave you in the other thread, and the information I sent you, what have you decided to do with you diet?

Best regards,

Chillen

I've chosen to go the anabolic/carb load route. My cardio work-outs from biking will do more than burn enough calories and fat. He made an interesting point about using water as an anabolic tool to stimulate muscle growth. I think that is going to be the hardest part considering I feel so bloated just from drinking a 16.9oz bottle of water....yet, if I add something as minor as kool-ade flavoring, I don't get the same feeling. Which tells me, hopefully that whole thing is all psychological, lol. I don't think Powerade or Gatorade was accounted for as a suitable replacement of water.

That diet is pretty extreme. I don't know if I have the reserves to follow that diet to a T, lol. Just kidding. My problem is the fact I don't anything that comes out of the ground or out of the water except nuts, corn and potatoes, lol. So, I have to make up those nutrients elsewhere, and finding a suitable tasting alternative sometimes is a chore. The multi-vitamins help out some I guess.

Hey bro can you forward me the information chillen sent you? I'm in need of some dieting advice and I'm curious as to where he's directing you.

Today was the 1st day back on the routine since my last update:mad:

Unfortunately, this is just the beginning as it will only be getting worse the closer Christmas comes.

But, the biking has done a number to my lats and ribs, lol. I'm sore almost everyday and am seeing improvements. The muscles between my back are also mad sore. All the rowing motions for hopping around are doin a number on me. Arms are starting to get really cut too....

Here's some pics:

On the very last set of abs below my belly button, there's a patch of fat that I can't seem to get rid of. I've been riding 3-5 hours per day after work (intense cardio) and it just won't burn off!!!!

Did I send this information to you? I can't remember, lol. I am an old fart, ya know? LOL.

Let me know.

If I didn't PM me your E-mail and I will.

I apologize.

Best wishes,

Cool.

Wish you luck in what you have chosen to do!

Okay just a few coments,

First, the comparision is not fair, your hair style changed and you gained some more body art. By trimming down that hair, you've had created an illusion of a bigger body. With the additional tatatoos, you made body lines (drawn in muslces).

Secondly, did your underwear get more green since 2 years ago? It started at light green to dark forrest green at the end.

All kidding aside, good job man and nice work. You look like the bigger latino version of Bruce Lee (body-wise).

Do you hold you stomach in when you take these pics? (no insult of offense intended, just wondering)

No, no stomach holding in. You can tell which ones I'm flexing in though, but no sucking in of the gut.

Cool.

Yeah, I can't follow that diet to a tee, for a couple reasons, but tried my best. I got some massive headaches when I had a calorie/carb deficiency.

My sarcasm meter is broken so I can't tell if your serious or not, lol.

The hair didn't really change much of a look. I really was massively thin before. I still am, but not to the extent I was in the 1st couple pics. but I do see what you're saying, but I am physically "heftier" than I was back than. You can tell from the definition in my ribs and whatnot. Also, look at my scrawny(er) arms. Major skinny goin on there when I'm holding up the camera. BUT, I am growing out my "troll hair" again, so I will get to see a comparison!!!!

I used to be a manager at Gap, so those are 3 different green underwears since I got clothing at MASSIVE discounts. Neon green with just "Gap" all over them, dark green with scrambled eggs and ham, and another green pair that has movie popcorn.

But I appreciate the criticism, kidding or not. Keeps me grounded and focused on my goal. My schedule is really keeping me from getting the work-outs and gains that I want. I'm working 12 hour days, 5 days a week with little to no time or energy to do anything else. Then on my two days off, I have my son, so it really limits what and when I can do things. Being blue collar sucks, lol.

Thanks again for all the comments everybody, mucho appreciated!!!!

See the above link as to why there hasn't been an update for a lil while.

Finally an update. I've gotten back to getting back in my routine again, sort of. Lots of distractions, and been way busy with a new roadbike and whatnot. I also have an AMAZING significant other finally around. Happiest I've been in AGES.

Anyways, here's some progress after taking about a 1 month break in my routine.

Relaxed:

Core flexed:

I haven't been as strict on my diet or routine since around Thanksgiving with the work schedule and meeting the most amazing woman ever (lol). But, when I do work out, they're quality. Kinda like when you ride a bike, if you don't have much time, make it QUALITY miles.

It was a nice little break. I feel like it kinda killed the plateau I was at.

Opinions much appreciated, positive or negative!

Thanks for the kind words everybody. I'm trying to get my chest bigger to match my back (can't take a good pic of it), but it's a bit harder to build the pecs than I thought. I'm not going to isolate as I like to keep the balance I have been seeing, but I feel my chest is probably the most lacking of everything (even though my arms are skinny, it matches the rest of my build).

Thanks again everybody, I'll post up some new pics in about a week.

I think I've finally reached my goal. I've been working hard lately, putting in a ton of hours at work, as well as moving into a new house and getting everything straight and renovating.

I can't seem to get the pictures to do myself justice (is that conceited or self-delusional???) and show my progress. The following pics seem to be not much different than the last update, but I can for sure feel the strength difference as well actually SEE it, but not in the pics:bncry:

My weight is a steady 160 now, whereas before it was 150-155 fluctuating and there wasn't really anything behind it. The 160 feels like a SOLID 160lbs now. I could stand to gain MAYBE 10 more pounds of mass, but have grown to love and appreciate the lean-ness build I have. I've found that people struggle to get the build I have, but can easily pound on weight, so I've grown to really appreciate it. Not only that, but it's FUNCTIONAL muscle.

Anyways, here we go.

Thoughts? Critisism? Don't hold back, I really need to hear your thoughts and opinions!!!!

I think random pictures taken can reveal alot. There's no planned lighting, poses or whatever....just a picture. My diet has been slackin, as has my routine. Been doing nothing but mainly cardio (riding my bike), and it's doing things...I guess, lol.

Here's pictures from yesterday:

You look like that guy from Entourage!
