Some Accountability....

well I have been off the exercise wagon for a while now... Not because I fell off, but because of health related issues. You all heard me grip about my hernia for months and I kept putting the surgery off because of the kids, and timing, and the need for outside help to be available. In the meantime, I wasn't able to workout and I was making my hernia worse.

Well on the 19th I *finally* got the opportunity to get it taken care of. Seems it was "borderline" for mesh, but the doctor knew I wanted it stitched because it is stronger and It's better for me to be able to really workout.

Since, I have had to take it easy....really easy, but the other day was cleared to take walks....*yippie* So, I'm going to start on my treadmill incline trainer, and work my way up as I am able to.

Because of the lack of exercise and me trying to adjust my eating to match I've gained 8 lbs :(

I normally wouldn't sweat it, but I *know* it is nothing but fat...blech.

So here I am making myself accountable as I begin to get back into my workouts!

You will always be beautiful inside and out to me.

One of the absolute greatest strengths "of all time" is within yourself. It's your toughness. The greatest feats ever accomplished was by a power that couldn't be seen by the naked eye.

It cannot be touched but can be felt.

You have a unique toughness about you. You will be fine with it. When you look back in the sand and do not see any steps, its because your toughness is carrying you.

Happiness glows from the inside out, it doesn’t shine from the outside in.

The Lion never sleeps in these types of peeps'.

This is your body talking:

I never stop talking day or night.

I never shut up; I am always flappen' the lips.

The language I speak is controlled by my forked tongue; I can sometimes lie and tell the truth.

I can be your greatest asset or your worst enemy.

Your attitude influences the nature of my tongue and the degree of my lip flappen'

You must keep tappen' the lip flappen to make YOU happen'

Now, get 'er........done!

Much success, peace, and happiness to you, NLL,

if you drop your elbows and flex your center trap you will see the muscles in your back. and take your pants off so we can see your leg muscles. But, put shorts on-- ya know what I mean.

great shape

cool to see you after all this time.

yeah, It is a pretty easy fix, but walking doesn't seem to be much of a workout :action: but hey, I'll do whatever I can right now..... I'll walk as much as I can off! ...lol :)

How old are your kids? I OH press my 5y/o and do lateral raises with my 1y/o all the time, they think it's great fun. You can also do squats with them, either put them on your shoulders or do zerchers.

The bonus is that as they get older and bigger the load increases so you get stronger while doing them :)

12 years old and around 70 lbs! I actually do pick them up allt he time ( not right now of course, but did) one of the reasons why they said my hernia got bad :(

They were giving me grief because I was telling them how I pick them up and swing them around tickling them. lol Can't help it, they may be twelve, but they have the mentality of a 3 year old and *always* raise their arms to be picked up! Hell, my one son has to be carried to bed! LOL He has a bunk bed too!

As soon as I'm cleared that will be happening again!

They love it and it *is* a workout!

Thanks! yeah, I know I got to get moving! Just been so boring and hard *not* to do anything and tryign to keep up with even house stuff is hard when they aren't letting me vaccum or haul laundy upstairs! :action:

I know how you feel, whenever my medical condition gets in the way of my workouts I feel sluggish and terrible! The first day starting to work out again is the hardest for me, because I feel like "Ugh, one day will not fix this" almost like its not worth it, but after a week I start feeling much better. Just know that if you could get where you wanted to be before, its mentally a little easier this time because now you have no doubts you can do it! :D

Haha, you konw that I know that you look good BUT you hold yourself to another standard; I like that. Honestly, you look GREAT but you are correct, there are some room for improvement. Get well first and then get fit. Btw, nice rear. This gal got some junk in her trunk while driving a prieus. :)

Yup, that's exactly how I have been feeling.... Working out just gives me that *boost* to get thru the day and the energy to enjoy it :)

I did 30 minute walk (4.5mph- that's as fast as I could go without jogging ...lol) then I did 30 minutes of aerobics. Not too strenuous, but enough to keep myself in a sweat :D

Just being able to do that little I feel SO much better!

Ya, I agree nice lats NoLoveLost, ure lookin good :luxlove:

lol, Thanks :p
