So! Whatcha Eating?

For breakfast today I had Whole Grain Cheerios and fat free yogurt.
For snack I had Whole Wheat pita and natural PB.
For lunch I am having spinach greens with tuna.

How about you? What are you eating. Ya know, I think if we tell others what we eat, and are truthful about it, we will all eat better.

I have to admit I do not like to cook and I have very bad eating habits. Because i don't like to cook I usually like to eat things that are easy to grab and go. So let's see. Today I had a fruit salad and granola for breakfast and now that I have read what you are having for lunch I think i will have tuna as well. I usually just have a small chicken breast wrapped in lettuce and a glass of almond milk but i am getting tired of that.

My eating habits have been... iffy haha mostly trying to focus on keeping an eye on amounts since quality is not always under my control =P Today so far I've had a Zone Bar (yummm), two hard boiled eggs, and a six inch subway chicken sandwich (that according to my napkin is about a 400 calorie thing, hmm). I've just about given up soda - I'm allowed it once a week but I usually don't partake. I had one last night though.

yer a hoot Panda

I had a bad lunch, but only had a small portion. It was actually a hot dog with olives and sour creme. We have a treet thing going on downtown and I just couldn't resist.

thank gawd the napkin didn't give me any nutritional info :)

Eggs, Noodles and Grilled Pork Belly - It's a monster meal for today! I got too tired documenting work and had to stay up late for the night. I needed to eat a monster meal for that, or I just wanted to.

Welcome to the site.

I don't think I've ver had a pork belly, but it sounds sorta gross.

Today I have had cheerios, and guess what- YOGURT. Also have a chunk of whole wheat pita and natural peanut butter when I go to the office.

Given that I'm in a hotel and unlikely to venture out again this evening, I think I am safe for today... last night a piece of red velvet chocolate cake made it's way into my shopping bag when I went for water and strawberries... How does that happen?

coffee with creamer (my true addiction)
8 oz OJ with daily vitamins (multi, calcium, evening primrose oil, potassium, D3, fish oil)
oatmeal with cranberries and a drizzle of agave syrup
Greek yogurt with blueberries and strawberries (love fresh fruit!!!!)
2 apples
big salad (cukes, zukes, radish, carrots, broccoli, cauliflour, spinach and green leaf, red peppers, red cabbage, green onions) salsa as dressing and some chicken breast meat

This is actually pretty darn typical of my diet day in and day out (at least on weekdays) - I don't need variety. When not traveling breakfast is more likely to be 2 eggs and a slice of toast. On weekends I cook - love to cook!

apples? Are thjey straight up apples with the skin,. red?

I used to eat them all the time, even did a 30 day apple4s only challenge. I've also done a 5 day green bean only challenge.

anyhow, question is..do you eat straigt up apples?

I'm on a number of fairly new flings with my food.

Quinoa, for one, is now my go-to food to take out to work and school for me. I'm also hard on the hemp seed now. (Yogurt + hemp seed + blueberries = awesome immune system!)

Also, you gotta love the Magic Bullet. Berry protein smoothies, yogurt and OJ drinks, and more. :)

Yep - I slice them and put them in a bag for quick take-along when headed to the gym or out the door. I take them whole to work and have a paring knife on my desk to slice them for eating - they are my typical afternoon snack (it helps to keep my employees in line when they are in to visit and I have a knife in hand...).

My favorite is 'Pink Lady' or at the end of summer when they are fresh and in season, 'Honey Crisp'.

Quinoi - mmmmmmm

Good on you for the Apples Sure!

was very hungry this morning, probably from swimming hard last night.
Had Grits with butter buds. took supplements.

Banana at 5 am before training with green tea, apple cider vinegar magnesium, fish oil and multi vit. After training whole grain chicken and avocado toasted panini and 3 long black coffee's. Lunch - tuna with garlic on two corn cakes (22 calories) with whole egg mayo. Snacks are raw unsalted mixed nuts. My only indulgence is one square of lindt dark chocolate either orange or passionfruit with almond slivers (yum) for a 50 cal hit after dinner. Lots of water and twinnings ginger and lemon tea.

So what are your (anyone) thoughts on "clean" eating - do you bother? Do you think about it?

Absolutely! I try to follow a few rules.

If it is already cooked = no
If it is in a package that can be cooked = no
white flour = no
sugar = no
bubbles = no

I need to get much more strict on the bubbles if ya know what I mean :)
