Should we have a Bench Chart?

Whats makes the Bench any better than a military press ?

It's just kind of a fact, 3 core lifts, bench, squat, deadlift. Isn't that right?

That's how I think of it at least.

I don't see why not...While we're on it though, i do believe that someone tried to start a bench press chart but didn't have much success with it.

bench isn't better than military press. but it does make more sence to have a bench chart than military press chart since bench press is one of the 3 lifts in a PL comp.

I don't really care because my bench sucks too but I'm just wondering how many people on here are gonna try testing their 1RM with really crappy form and ending up with shoulder problems

the same could be said for deadlifts and squats. If you have bad form, you should get it corrected. If you don't know that you have bad form, you're screwed.

Yeah, of course that's a very good point, I'm just one of those people who get pissed off with the 'so.....how much do you bench?' crowd. I have a feeling they'll get drawn to the thread like flys round ****

I think we should have a tricep pulldown thread though, I'm pretty good at those! :p

Yea im good at those aswell, but once youve done the whole rack (which im sure many have) theres no point.

We should have a Curling in the squat rack thread, because as we all know, you can curl way more if you do it in the squat rack area.

Absolutely. How come we are crying about a bench chart when we should have that plus a calf raise chart, curl chart, and lateral raise chart.

whenever someone asks me how much I bench, my reply is asking them how much they dead.
it would actually be cooler to have a push press chart, as that's a way more "functional" way of pressing and is way cooler... but I don't think a lot of people here do push press :(

i push pressed 205 today. coulda got more thoguh

It's not a fact.
Bench is no better than MP.

It is too a fact, if the bench press and the MP got into a fight, we all know that the bench press would kick the military press's ass!:argue:
