So you are saying that along with a good diet, you should not only be taking whey (protein shakes) but also another sup' if it doesnt work on its own in ones body?

Along with Whey (as a shake) and the right diet, what other sup's do you suggest one takes if its believed its not doing its best?

Steve.

I think he meant that you need to eat a normal diet in addition to the protein shakes, because they will do nothing for you without actual food.

seems like you know a lot about food il try the albacore

i have never seen natural mayo; do you have to buy it at gnc or something???

I get my mayo and most of my foods from a store called Trader Joes. They have all sorts of organic foods, cold pressed oils, high fiber foods, almost no HFCSs and hydrogenated oils in their product. There is probably one in your area, if not they have warehouses and deliver. It might be expensive but if you can mannage to only buy things from them that you can't get at a normal grocer then it's worth it.

which was done :)
I meant that you took whey and whey alone as a PWO shake. You need to add a fast acting carb to the shake, such as dextrose, to replenish muscle glycogen stores. It will also shuttle the protein to your muscles to begin the repair/rebuild of new muscle tissue.

A PWO shake should be taken within 5-10 minutes following your weight training session as this is when your body is at it's most anabolic state.

You may want to try this for a few weeks and see how your body responds.

Trader Joes rocks. Kinda pricey but they got all kinds of cool stuff

Personally, I've dropped whey from my meal plan. I'm eating just a normal meal after training. People make too much of this fast/slow absorption nonsense.
