i always take whey after a workout; but will it help my recovery if i am sore one or two days after a workout???

Yup

Min 3 times a day, everday. On workout days, tray taking it post workout.

I personally, have found no benefit taking it after workout but I usually do hit the shake with all main meals (breakfast, lunch & dinner)

real food better than suppliments. Whey is for when you need extra protein and can't get it from a whole food source. I only do whey if i need extra protein, usually i do take it in a post workout shake but other than that I eat real food.

I ususally eat a can of tuna after a workout with soy milk, then at some point in the day I'll have a whey shake (either right after or a couple hours after). I figure if my protein intake is consistant throughout the day its all good.

Yup. But then again, how 'post' are we talking?

Like I said, I have at-least 1 with Breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Being my workout falls between lunch and dinner, I guess you could call the shake at dinner time a 'post-shake'.

But, taking a shake right after the workout has done nothing extra more me as opposed to taking it few hours later while at dinner.

Personally I still use protein drinks on my days off, it helps me keep my protein intake where it needs to be. Remember your muscles are still growing during rest and need the protein.

I put Louisiana hot sauce all over it and eat it out of the can. :D Or I put it in a salad with a home made zesty Itallian dressing, which tastes amazing.

Nope. When using whey, i used whey and whey only and i strongly believe it did jack for me when taking right after my workout apart from making me feel a bit sick.

Experiment. A can of tuna on its own tastes good to me, but obviously not good to you.

In saying that, we all have different tastes. Whats good for one, might not be good for you :)

is albacore tuna better tasting??? i usually just eat it with ketchup out of the can and its alright...but i like chicken breast better. Is tehre such thing as a sauce that will provide some nutrition that i can add to this???

Definitly get albacore. It's like a little round fish steak in a can. The other stuff is shredded crap.

If you don't mind the sodium try hot sauce on it, its great.

Make a tuna sandwich with all natural mayonase and toasted whole grain bread (don't get light mayo, its full of artifical crap)

seems like you know a lot about food il try the albacore

i have never seen natural mayo; do you have to buy it at gnc or something???

This is probably why it did "jack" for you.

So you are saying that along with a good diet, you should not only be taking whey (protein shakes) but also another sup' if it doesnt work on its own in ones body?

Along with Whey (as a shake) and the right diet, what other sup's do you suggest one takes if its believed its not doing its best?

Steve.
