Cohen's Lifestyle Sams weight loss journey part.....2

Prefix for Cohen's Lifestyle
Thanks for the update Niya....I wish you every success with your journey.
Have you lost 22kg since January????
Not much to go then.

Anyway day one is nearly over and I'm feeling not so good. Can't wait till bed time.
I have my dinner to eat shortly and I'm really looking forward to it. I know the first week is the hardest for memory. I've just got to stay strong.

Bye now - Sam:)

Hi Sam, First week is always the worst. Don't forget to get some extra sleep & don't overdo things. Take care of yourself & don't forget the water. You're an old hand at this my friend. You'll be right if you stick with it, xo Cate

I lost 22kg, and last time I weighed had put back on 3kg. So now I am around 19kg down. Wish TOM would come so I can concentrate again!

Hi Cate and Niyah hope you both had wonderful days:)

Day 2 down.

I woke less bloated this morning and full of energy.
It was my day to help in the School tuckshop, usually only do 1/2 a day but they were short staff so I nipped home for my lunch and returned for the pm session but I made sure I had my water and fruit on board.
Cate thanks for the advice , I was in my bed at 8.30pm last night really tired...and I feel the same now so it will be another early one. I've got a headache again..detox happening.
Cate please feel free to remind me of anything....I've been re-reading my plan and also my hardcopy diary. Interesting to see how much weight I lost so quickly in that first fortnight and I was actually down a clothes size from my notes..so those notes are keeping the motivation going.

Niyah you have done so well, keep it up. You'll lose those 3kg in no time.

Check back in here with you all tomorrow.

Enjoy your night.

Sam:)

Hi Diary:)

Day 3.....and struggling.

Bad headache last night and woke with one...been taking Nuerofen.
I went to bed between 9 - 9.30pm..and woke around 2am with the same headache and had to take Nuerofen. I did eventually settle but had to wake early for kids sports and I have still got the headache. If it is detox occurring well I must have had some bad foodtypes running through my system. I might have to go for a cat nap today.
I can't recall getting the headaches like this proir.

Anyway I am perservering and using the underdeveloped countries people as my motivation now...I think well if they can live and survive on limited food a day....so can I.

Food today - so far

175grams of Vaalia yoghurt with a herbal tea - water plus vitiamins.
snack:- 1 vita brit and 1/2 apple with a green tea.
Lunch:- 65grams of mozz cheese with tomatoe and mushrooms.

Check back later.

Made it through day 3....it was a struggle with the headache and was really hungry at times....but I kept the fluids up.

I was dying for a coffee so settled on a decafe black...which wasn't half bad.

Bye now - Sam:)

Day 4

Woke to no headache...yeah!!!!...that was one major detoxing...just goes to show those sugars and carbs are so bad for us.

Had a really goodnights sleep. And also had a nice lie in as well.

Okay I'll be back tonight.....out and about today.

Enjoy your sunday everyone.

Hi Sam, I laughed at your mention of deja vu. Life is one big deja vu!! LOL!! Eventually we learn & don't repeat our mistakes forever but for some of us it takes a little longer!!
Weight-loss/weight-gain can be a little like Groundhog day. At last I've clicked! xoxoCate

Hi Niyah and Daisy:)

Sam, you are aceing this restart!!!! Well done.
So far good Niyah.....trying not to think about our holidays next week though...I'll be away from my comfort zone but I'm feeling very focused so I hope I don't lose the plot. Would hate to go through the detox again.
Hope your feeling better and enjoying your week.

I can see I've forgotten to have another fruit and my 5th CB. Lots of rushing about today and feeling really tired from the PT session.
I won't be staying up late to eat the rest.....I like to finish eating before 7pm.

Very hungry after exercising...couldn't wait to eat!!!!!!...

Okay I'm really looking forward to adjusting that ticker come Friday......fingers and toes crossed.

My stomach is feeling and looking alot flatter, I'm happy to announce:D.

nighty night now - Sam:)

Hi Sam, It would be fun to have a personal trainer! You are not eating much though & exercise makes you very hungry. That's why Cohen's recommend no excessive exercise. If you have a personal trainer then you are probably having a good hard work-out I would imagine.
I see what some people have to eat to maintain a really full-on exercise regime & it seems to me to be a bit like the roo shooters conundrum. When asked why they shoot so many roo they answer "to feed my dogs." "Why do you have so many dogs?" "I need them to help me get the roo." Mmmm.
Once you get to your goal weight it's easier to balance exercise and food. I read lots of posts in the other sections of the forum & it seems very hard to juggle the two when you are trying to lose weight. I see as many ups as I do downs, if not more.
Anyway it's your choice of course as everything is. Nice catching up with you again Sam, xo Cate

Day 7.....

Breakfast:- 175grams yoghurt and herbal teas.
snack:- 1/2 a cb and 1/2 a large orange.
Lunch:- beef and veg stirfry with 1/2 a cb.

tba meals
snack:- other 1/2 of orange with a cb.
dinner:- chicken with veg and a cb.

Hi Cate....yes I remember that about adding exercise...but I've been doing the PT for awhile now and I really want to keep it up. I injured my neck a few years back and was unable to do any form of exercising for such a long time and my pt is aware of this and is working to build me up slowly. I also know with Cohens I will be losing muscle mass along with fat so I want to keep up the resistance this time.
Also I only do it once a week, so I can cope with that....Thanks for your help.

Oh by the way I caved and ate my forgotten fruit and CB allowance...it got the better of me.

Be back later.....:)

Sound like you are really focussed at the moment Sam and going well with it. Well done!

I gather it's OK to keep doing what you are already doing exercise-wise on Cohen's, but to avoid adding new things until finished. At least, that's what was explained to me.

Trouble is... I'm actually doing LESS right now - at least at the beginning of the year we were trying to occasionally walk and swim!!! I can't wait for the lighter evenings to come back as that's the only time I can use, however without daylight saving it won't be quite as much fun from now on!

I'm planning a steak for lunch today - something I never fail to enjoy on Cohen's. It's not T-bone meat, but never mind! It'll be near enough.

Hiya Niyah....your lunch sounds yum, hope you enjoyed it.

And no I won't be adding anymore exercise at this stage.....1 hour a week is fine for the moment...couldn't cope with anymore anyway. Once Summer is here I'll get into some swimming.

Well nearly came unstuck tonight. We were unexpectedly invited to our friends house and there was wine and nibbles...but I'm happy to announce I stuck to water and resisted the nibbles. By the time we got home I was starving but luckily I had prepared it prior so all I needed was to cook it..which with the small quanities didn't take long.

So day 7 completed and onto the next.

Have a wonderful night all.

Sam:)

Hi Diary and thanks Cate:)

Day 8-

Well feeling really tired today, probably due to going to bed late. YS had his first sleep over and I decided to stay up incase I got a call...no call and he had a wonderful time.

Anyway so I slept in a bit later and woke about 8am...and had breakfast at 8.30am.
Feeling a bit stressed with getting prepared for our holidays...I'm trying to inform OS that he needs to get his homework done before we go away or he'll be behind when we get back. His also been invited to a friends place but I said he can't go until his works done.
He gives me a really hard time at times.....well alot of the times recently....he is really wearing me down atm and feel like this:willy_nilly:.

So I'm tired and trying to organise my time, I'm doing loads of washing and need to do the ironing still and sort the clothes for our holidays. We leave Sunday and I really need to be packed by tomorrow due to Saturday's sports morning and me meeting some friends for lunch which is not local. I also want to make sure I have the house looking half decent for when I get back. We leave early on Sunday as well.

Alright hopefully that whinge will suffice me, for the time being:rant:.

Menu so far - for day 8

Breakfast - 1 egg and veg, herbal teas etc.
Lunch - Mozz cheese and veg on 1 CB and 1 apple (unable to wait 5hours between meals here)
Still to be had meals:-
Snack:-?
Dinner:-?

Okay I'll be back later....the kids are carrying on again..
Wish I could lie down for a sleep........ Only in my "dreams".

Oh by the way I as going to weigh in today, but will wait for tomorrow.
Can't wait to change that ticker and see it go down the way.

Sam:)
