running vs biking

I cycle and run. Cycling is probably more enjoyable although I always feel like I've had a better workout after I run. I think the crosstraining benefits are good and the cycling helps give my joints a bit of a break. I recommend doing both if you enjoy them.

I also do both. I have bad knees (multiple surgery on both) so prefer to cycle. But when my body can not take a bike seat anymore I run for a day or 2. I tend to burn more calories on a bike then I do running. On a bike I normally sit around 16mph (1326 burnt in 60 mins) vs. running at 6.5mph (1252 in 60 mins).
