rip look or bulky look?

so which one do u prefer ?
i personally like ripped look , but not bruce lee style... that just looks disgusting

depends what you mean by ripped and bulky, but I'd rather be large with just a little definition than small with a lot of definition.

Bulky and ripped FTW. Whatever forms you take on the journey is just part of the course. I wouldn’t mind being bulky but chubby or thin but ripped so long as I was progressing in strength

Just looking to be extremely healthy, and a lean/muscular look, within what my aging body and genetics will allow, and accept them. I do not pattern my wants after someone else. I enjoy the feel and look of being lean, and the challenges faced, staying that way.

Best regards,

Chillen

Definetly the ripped look. The bulky look just makes you look like a fat man with a manual labor job. Unless you're a power lifter that's no way to look.

And solely looking ripped makes you look like a stray cat that needs to be fed.

Haha, very true, just take a look at the idiots on Facebook showing off their 150lb torso’s to the girls. They look like a strip of beef jerky.

I’m sat at around 198 right now and I think that’s about as skinny as a man should ever get because we start to look a bit feeble below that
(Obviously height plays a role in that figure, 6’ @ 200lbs looks healthy)

I know what you mean. Your turning towards the other gender when your so skinny IMO, i hate the look, but everyone to their own.

And i know exactly what you mean about the facebook idiots LOL.

Being a girl I'm going to disagree with this...I'd rather have a guy that is bulky (meaning a little extra padding, not fat). I think it's hot and beast like. Plus, men that are ripped feel like a bag of rocks when you are snuggling!

ripped/bulk

I don't eat enough to get massive bulk and I don't always eat right enough to get ripped. My workouts are sooo varied and are geared for strength, endurance and muscular definition. At 6'3" and 195lbs I feel I could add some bulk, but when I eat more it slows me down and goes to my abs. When it comes right down to it, looking at a male or female with cloths on, a little sumthin is better than the ultra thin ripped look under a shirt or dress.

Even though I dont' run, I like the SPRINTER'S BODY. The are fairly buff and very lean / tone. that is big and ripped. Or the male gymnast body as well. Both are functional muscles that looks awesome.

Bulk good good with the right clothes on though; where as lean looks good in a swim suit. When I was lean, I looked "small" (actually average) in street clothes vs when I was bulking up, my shirt fit really nice.

Health and fitness can be beautiful.

One of the fantastic virtues of fitness, is being able to apply "enough of yourself" to become the person you want to be. To me, I like the fact we have different opinions on what looks good, cause' this is the beauty of fitness. We can simply elect (within reason) what we want. What a generic world we would live in if it were the same.

I would be a liar, if I said, I didn't like people saying "I can't believe you are going to be 48 years old".

Whats 48 suppose to look like anyway?

I will find out, in July/August 2009. I am going to "thunder" it in right.

Keep Rocken' your spirit, in what YOU want out of fitness.

Best wishes,

Chillen

Yea there's always a limit. You have to have at least some fat. I was always told never to go below 6% BF becauase then it would be just plain unhealthy.

Hahahaha. I love these responses. I like a fit and healthy looking man. Could be a variety of combinations but that pic of Glenn Ross does nothing for me and the thought of someone being "ripped" and resembling a stringy stray cat doesn't sound too nice either. A man should look like he takes good care of himself and could kick any idiots ass who tries to pull any stunts with me. I don't like doing my own dirty work. My boyfriend is the nearest to perfection I have ever seen.

I myself prefer to look ripped. :D Bu Im a girl and most girls prefer to look slim and lean.
