I am totally rejoicing! I just got off the scale and ... I'm down to 192.0!!! I wasn't going to exercise today but now I absolutely am!! Who knew dieting could be so fun?
 
Well, I didn't exercise today after all. I think it will be harder for me to find time to on the weekends, but I'm going to try and do some Tae Bo when I get up in the morning tomorrow.

Grrr... the weekends are tough. I like being out of the house and at work because it helps me not think about food. Oh well, I didn't do too bad on my diet today. I ate:

My usual cereal with plain soy milk for breakfast.

For lunch I had one slice whole grain bread with 1oz. tuna mixed with 1/2 TB fat free miracle whip, cucumber slices, red onion slices, lettuce, and one slice of tomato with 1/2 cup low fat cottage cheese on the side.

Three hours after lunch I had a single serve bag of light popcorn.

For dinner I had a South Beach frozen meal, and for dessert I had a 100 calorie snack bag of pecan sandies.

My mom is trying the "Three Hour Diet", if it really works well for her I might give it a go as well, although what I'm doing now seems to be doing the trick!!
 
I am so excited! I felt like I ate sooo much yesterday, and I skipped exercising... but when I got on the scale this morning I was down to 191.4! I may actually see my 180's by next week. Well, I'm going to work out now, it's time to kick my butt into shape!!
 
Oh my, the weekends are going to be hard. So much temptation and so much time sitting around doing nada.

Let's see, for breakfast I had my usual cereal with plain soy milk.

For lunch I had Healthy Choice chicken noodle soup and 1/2 cup lowfat cottage cheese.

For a snack I had a serving of light popcorn, and then I broke down and had half of a Milky Way. On the bright side, I coulda eaten the whole thing.

Then for dinner I had a Lean Cuisine chicken, spinach, and mushroom panini sandwich with 10 baked french fries. I shouldn't have had the fries I know, but a girl has to eat a french fry every now and then.

I did 20 minutes of Tae Bo in the morning, and then another 15 minutes tonight. For some reason my breathing is not so good today, so 15 minutes was all I could take :( .

Yay! Today marks a full seven days of dieting. I know that I have a long way to go but at least I have the first week behind me.
 
Well, another day of dieting done. I just got done with a half hour of Tae Bo and now I'm ready to shower and go to bed.

Breakfast: whole grain cereal and plain soy milk

Lunch: Lowfat cottage cheese and pineapple

Dinner: Lean Cuisine

Snack: light popcorn

Dessert: 100 calorie pack of pecan sandies

And water, water, and more water to drink.

I've decided to make Monday my weigh in day, I've really got to stop weighing myself everyday.

62 pounds to go!! My short term goal is to reach 175 by Feb. 17th!! Can I do 17 pounds in three weeks? That's almost six pounds a week, but I'm going to give it my all!!
 
Weighing yourself everyday can become addictive. I started that (out of curiosity) a few weeks ago, and I can't seem to stop. However, every time I check my weight has been lower :D My main weigh in is on mondays, so I don't record with the others.

I did step on the scale today, and I'm down to 190.8. I tried to ignore the scale but it's right by the fridge and I couldn't stop myself!! Oh well, my official weigh day will be monday, with some unofficial weigh days when I just have to look and see if I'm still losing.
 
Let's see, today I ate:

Breakfast: You guessed it, whole grain cereal and plain soy milk.

Lunch: 1 cup Healthy Choice chicken noodle soup and 1/2 cup lowfat cottage cheese.

Dinner: Smart One's frozen entree

Later I may have a 100 calorie bag of pecan sandies, but I'm not sure yet.

Exercise: 40 grueling minutes of Tae Bo and some work with free weights.

Day 9 and I feel great. I can't believe how much I've lost, it's keeping me super motivated. Also, I'm not hungry all the time like I was when I was eating whatever I wanted. I eat now and I'm full for hours, it's great!!
 
Day 10!!

Whew Hoo! Ten days and I'm still at it. Today I did 40 minutes of Tae Bo again, it seems to get easier every day.

Breakfast: whole grain cereal and 1 cup plain soy milk

Lunch: low fat cheese and pineapple

Dinner: Lean Cuisine spinach and mushroom pizza

And of course, water, water, and more water

For dessert I will have a 100 calorie pack of pecan sandies

I am feeling a little down today. I am having a hard time with a college assignment, there is a problem with my taxes so my refund will be late, and my boyfriends new hours are starting to get to me. I will not turn to food though, I think I may just do some deep breathing exercises instead. Where is that damn silver lining when you need it? Oh, and I think I have stopped losing weight so I may not reach my short term goal after all :( .
 
Well, I guess I haven't stopped losing weight because today I am down to (drum roll, please) 189.4!! Maybe I can reach my goal after all!

Theres just something about being under the 180s 190s 200s...you know what mean! For me, its gonna be gettin under the 150s by next week! Great work!! Be proud!
 
Thank you Kate. I am a little proud, and today for the first time I've had people say that they can tell I've lost a little weight. That's so much better than seeing people you met years ago who don't even recognize you because of the weight you've gained. And it does feel so good to be out of the 200's and 190's. I feel like I'm really accomplishing something!

Today I once again went to town doing Tae Bo for 40 minutes, and then worked a tiny bit with my hand weights. Also, and I don't know if this counts or not, but I had a very, very busy night at work, and being a waitress that means I walked my butt off. It felt like a work out!

On to what I ate today,

Breakfast: Whole grain cereal and plain soy milk

Lunch: Healthy Choice Country Vegetable soup (1 cup) and 1/2 cup low fat cottage cheese

Dinner: Lean Cuisine frozen dinner

Snack: 100 calorie bag of pecan sandies. Oh, and I had 1/2 of a small orange.

Once again I had to turn down something really yummy from my boss and her family at the end of the night, but she understands. When I told her that I was worried about eventually having to buy all new clothes for my new body she said "don't worry about it Moriah, you're worth it". And you know what, I'm starting to think I am!!
 
Today I did not get any exercise, I worked lunch at the restaurant today and had to be there earlier than I am used to getting up. When I got home all I wanted to do was eat somthing and take a nap. Since my boyfriend started working the graveyard shift we don't get to sleep at the same time much, and since he was in bed when I got home today I just had to lay down with him. I did go grocery shopping tonight and picked up a few things to add some variety to my diet. I also grabbed a two pack Tae Bo dvd. I can't wait to give it a go tomorrow.

Breakfast: whole grain cereal, 1 cup plain soy milk.

Lunch: 1 cup Healthy Choice veggie soup.

Dinner: grilled chicken cesar salad with croutons and low fat italian dressing (from Burger King) with an ice tea to drink.

Not so bad for today. Tomorrow I will get some exercise in and hopefully lose some more weight, even if it's just a few ounces!
 
Urgh, I am in a bad mood today, I hope it passes soon. My weight loss seems to have stalled and when I went back and counted the calories I've been eating it's been like 600-800. That's not enough so I have to try and get a few more in I guess.

I tried my new Tae Bo tape today and it was way too much for me, so I only got about ten minutes in before I gave up. Tomorrow I'm pulling out my old tape and sticking with that for awhile. I did get some exercise at work tonight, we were pretty busy so I did a lot of walking, bending, and carrying trays of drinks.

Breakfast: 3/4 cup vanilla yogurt cheerios with 1 cup plain soy milk and 1/2 banana

Lunch: 1 cup Healthy Choice chicken noodle soup and 1/2 cup low fat cottage cheese

Snack: 100 cal. pack of Cheese flavored crackers

Dinner: Lean Cuisine

Dessert: 1 sugar/ fat free chocolate pudding cup

Snack: 1 cup butter flavored popcorn

I know I didn't need the popcorn, but we had company over and were playing a board game. I couldn't help myself. Without the popcorn, what I ate today will probably be what I try eating from now on. My mom swears that I should try eating every 3 hours, I'm not too sure if I believe the hype...
 
I think we'll call today a cheat day. Thanks to today I will probably not have much of a change in weight from last Monday to this Monday, but oh well. Tomorrow I will ride again.

Breakfast: Yogurt Burst Cheerios with 1 cup plain soy milk and 1/2 banana.

Lunch: 1 slice supreme pizza, 1 cheese stick, and 3 buffalo wings with ranch dressing and 1/2 a can of Pepsi to drink.

Dinner: 1 slice supreme pizza, 1/2 cheese stick, and 2 buffalo wings with ranch dressing, a Mountain Dew to drink.

Snack: 2 (1/2 inch size) Charleston Chews.

Exercise: Nada

Upping my calories yesterday did lead to a 1/2 pound weight loss for me, so I guess I'd better stick closer to 1,000 cals. a day rather than 600-700.

My cheat day doesn't feel very rewarding, in fact I feel a little sick. I'm ready to get on with my diet tomorrow, I'm actually looking forward to getting some exercise.

My new mini-goal is to lose 7 or 8 pounds in the next two weeks. I won't be at 175, but I'll be closer to it and closer to my overall goal.
 
Raise the calories! 600-800 is waaaaay too few, especially since you're doing cardio and are pretty active at work.

Eating every 3 or so hours keeps the metabolism going. I've done it before and it does work. Also, might you be building muscle? Carrying drinks and trays and such are awesome for the arms, and you might be building muscle by doing so.

Yesterday's meals looked pretty good. Also, do you measure? I used to not do it, but 3 weeks ago I started to and I've really been noticing differences, now! This past week I lost about two inches all together...maybe a little more, and dropped two pounds. So I don't think I'd worry too much about the weight not budging...you might be loosing fat anyways!
 
Thanks for the advice! I think you are absolutely right about the calories, like it or not I'm going to have to get some more in. I might be putting on some muscle, I hope that I am anyway, but I do not measure (I'm afraid to!). I might have to invest in a measuring tape. Thanks again for the reply.
 
I did not exercise again today. I really wanted to but had a busy day and just didn't find the time.

Breakfast: 3/4 cup yogust burst cheerios (120 cals) with 1 cup plain soy milk (80 cals) and a small pink lady apple (70 cals)

Lunch: 1 cup Healthy Choice chicken noodle soup (100 cals) and 1 bag of 100 cal. cheese crackers

Dinner: Lean Cuisine (290 cals)

Dessert: Sugar free reduced cal. chocolate pudding cup (60 cals)

Snack: Lowfat cottage cheese and pineapple (130 cals)

950 calories today! Is that enough?
