Rep Power

I dont get it. Everyone is saying that we should eliminate rep because its evil. Then we (well I) do some adjustments and everyone gets upset because their rep gets lower.
Heres what I did:
Changed the 1 rep power gained for every 150 days member to 180.
" for every 25 posts to 125.
" for every 100 rep points to 300.
Lowered the rep spread requirement from 3 to 1.
We also changed the level of point requirements awhile back, but the green bar is unaffected for some reason. Do you want your 300 odd rep power back?

Rep power determines forum popularity and yours went down.

Ive now changed it so I have my regular rep power back. Matt you can keep the red stuff. Also Lei, Stroutman, and CCR have been returned to normal.
Maybe before executing a change, an admin should get "a general feel" of the "vast majority of the regular users" who spend an emmense amount of time on the forum through some quality feedback within a created thread (a poll or what ever), and then based on this (even if there is a select few who differ), make the changes in the best interest of the forum and its community.
I never stated my "feelings on the rep system", my feelings on the rep system had been "generally" stated by other persons (nameless) who try to specifiy my feelings for me. These feelings are not my own.
But, IMO, any changes that effect ALL users (especially the regs), some quality feedback should be sought before any changes made.

The automatic increments were lowered. Everyone still has the same rep. Poll forthcoming

I`m with you on this man i could`nt give a s**t how many rep points i have i just thought it was supposed to be a little fun anyhow.
I much prefer the colour red over green
