Red Meat

quick after thought:

toxicity is part of what happens in our bodies when we breathe and eat and make fuel ..
2 ways to approach

1. smother it with something that will alkaline it
2. add an equal ph and burn it off all together.
..

in both cases elimination of waste ( and asap for best health) is important.

Like I've stated...juices from the store suck because they are cooked. Ascorbate acid is not vitamin C; ascorbate acid is taken from high fructose corn syrup and then merged with steric acid. This goes back to eating fruits rather than using juices.

Regardless, high fructose corn syrup sucks as any GMO food.

You know what Evolution??.. How elitist of you.
I just don't think you're being practicle to the general population need ...
I travel alOt .. particularly through asia and other developing counrties.. so i am nOt just talking about nutrition for ppl in good economic climate and who've been well educated and are willing and able to precure their good health on their own, because right now those ppl are minorities. ..imagine being able to off load OJ to the pepsi club ..or to india or china or to the fast food afficinado contingents.. or the sick ppl with rotting gums and spllwen and bowel diseases and so forth..

ORANGE JUICE AND VIT - C IS ESSENTIAL FOR GOOD HEALTH!!!!... hence it being in daily req lists... and it is so because of the oxygen it supplies every cell in our body via the ratio of iron we consume..
It also makes our heart pump because of the same reason re:- potassium and the thermal effects and fluid regulation reaction it has on our renal systems..
It also makes us poop and prevents all sorts of other serious illness stemming from that.

..my mum has emphasemia and was meant to die no less than 10 yrs ago and I make her drink juice and milk she 's stiiil kicking and still smoking... some ppl might make sooome adjustments but total health is hard sell...so staying alive for now will be lovely thanks.

All i need my juice to do, is supply me with vit C and potassium and metabolise my iron so I can breathe, help me lube and breakthings down for a poop , and protect my spleen so I can filter blood poisons....if there iis a toxic load off that, which duh when you add sugars to your diet will happen and why eveidence suggests that illness disease and viruses and infections are related to carb consumption and the climate that creates in our bodies, and why it's important to know what your eating and how to negate the potential negative effects of those things.

Simple sugars, I do do though copiously though .. I don't usually do flour or grains much unless I need to and I'm even a little leanient when it comes to sweetened no-fat milks.. because I need the glycogen.. I don't really eat bread or pasta and I don't eat speads and use a sgar altenative so it is thE only place I really get any sugar at all.. It makes a mAassive difference to me when I work out and by getting it through fluids, I don't have to eat overboard complex carbs ( which btw I think most ppl do and hence the obesity stats and the malnutrition in third world countries who eat loads of rice and breads ( like India and Asia etc) in lieu of good raw materials and meats...

I don't know what the beef with corn syrup is anyway.. maize helps to make denser muscles if you don't have OTT consumption of complex carbs... or eat and can burn relative portions of protein... which is why ppl get fat , cause they don't.
Like I said, I don't think I want to get into it too much here, but my OJ is often one of the very few things in my diet, that when I don't have will make me go down really quickly..
4 days is what a metabolism reset is worth.. because naturally that's how long it takes food to get from one end to the other..
and even worse when you're eating all that meat.. and bread ..and not hydrating properly or breaking anything down with complimentary foods.

that syrupy consistancy is exaactly what our spleen needs ..that and an occassional sour or bitter ..

and with enough fluid it activates fibre supplements , so while it does increase your radicals in your blood for the few minutes to hour or whathave you that it takes your body to start the elimination process and get you to pee or poop or whatever, it increases the bodys capacity tooo actually eliminate and the time in which it does it... meaning ppl are better off for it.

JUICES ARE GOOD!!!... If you 're worried that they're boiled, buy fresh for chrissakes .. or just make your own.

I think I'm going to leave it there with you for a while anyway.. you're obviously from a diffrent school on it and that's that.. ..

cheers

Corn Syrup(High Fructose or not) is bad for one very simple reason. It's overused in Western Diets, in fact it's used to sweeten more foods than sugar, it's used in 55% of the total market according to the Washington Post. Since the corn is genetically altered to fit cost efficiency you can only imagine what kind of stuff is in there.

Blooming Lotus, I am not an elitist. Juice is cooked, then typically sugar is added and even if it's not, if it's cooked, you're getting very very little vitamin C and no enzymes with your juice. Fruit cost less than juice.

Problems with bowels? Take some cumin. It's a spice. It's cheap.

Don't talk to me about preventing problems and third world countries. A lot of people suffer from fungus, yeast, and bacteria problems and you want them to ingest a bunch of sugar which feeds it. Wild oregano would go so much further. You act like vit C is going to save the world when what you're proposing is shipping off a bunch of cooked juice with very little nutrient value to it.

We're talking about high fructose corn syrup. The stuff is poison. Our kids are poisoned with horrible diets in the school, by vending machines, by the Pepsi and Coca-Cola companies and everyone has developed ADHD when what we need is to get back to natural foods and not all this GMO/manufactured/altered/etc stuff.

You talk about people not doing research and you come on very strongly and you didn't even know that ascorbate acid wasn't even real Vitamin C. Do you even know where vitamin C originally came from? From the adrenal glands of humans. It was then taken from tumeric. Then down the road we have supplement companies taking it from GMO corn and bonding it unnaturally with other acids to make something that needs to be taken at radically high doses to even be effective.

The people that you travel with in the bad economic climate need a lot more than vitamin C. They need food and spices, not a bunch of cartons of orange juice.

And what fiber supplements are you talking about? You can't activate supplements that someone is not taking.

And it does not take 4 days for food to break down. This is assuming all foods take the same amount of time to break down. Vegetables take longer than meats, seeds typically take longer than meats but not as long as vegetables, etc. You have to look at cellulose content, fiber content, etc etc

Instead of having an actual conversation you get all pissy when someone disagrees with you. You did this on the martialartsplanet website and apparently quite a few others. You'd think for someone who is earning their PhD you could be concise in your writing and not allowing emotions to get in the way.

And you said something about simple sugars being bad and then ask what the deal with corn syrup is...corn syrup is a simple sugar.

Excellent post Evo.

Blooming I can appreciate the fact that you are getting a level of "higher education" but your talking down nature and lack of understanding of some pretty basic substances leads me to believe that you still have alot to learn not just in the area of nutrients but of debate with man. There are some high level educated people here (whether they paid for that education or not) that don't need laymans translations and can handle the "heady stuff".

Vitamin C is a very delicate nutrient, it takes very little to diminish its strength and levels. Even when fresh juicing you must consume it within a short period of time as that exposure and separation met by oxygen can cut all the value down in mere mins. So obviously the processed juice is going to be of limited value for nutrients not to mention the added bad simple sugars (corn syrup)

Also your argument of convenience and travel to other areas of the word, well that just doesn't even make sense really. I do say the image of you smoking cigs and passing out orange juice to the third world hungry does bring some laughter.

In short respectfully debate, try to structure your wording better as its hard to understand some of what you are saying (no because its so complex, its just jumbled) and be open to what us po simple minded folk have to say, you might learn something.
