Reason behind the name.

Is that Acadian?
acadian/cajun

pure coonass

Coonass is a controversial term in the Cajun lexicon: to some Cajuns it is regarded as the supreme ethnic slur, meaning "ignorant, backwards Cajun"; to others the term is a badge of pride, much like the word Chicano is for Mexican Americans. In South Louisiana, for example, one can often see bumper stickers reading "Warning — Coonass on Board!" or "Registered Coonass" (both of which generally depict a raccoon’s backside).

Mine is from Kevin Smith's Clerks. There's a qoute in the movie "Bunch of savages is in this town!". I've been saying this phrase ever since the movie came out and it kinda stuck with me over the years. :D

-Mark.

WOLVERINE from the comics. I got tons of his comics. My favorite super hero. He's the best at what he does, but what he does, ain't so nice. Wish I had his super powers and the adamantium skeleton / claws mwa ha ha ha.

Cyclops beat Wolverine plenty of times! If you ever read the comic with Proteus (an energy creature that possessed the bodies of mutants) Cyclops started randomly engaging other mutants to train, just in case Proteus would take over their body and he would be forced to fight them. He beat the Wolvie hands down!

Heh, I've always had a thing for uptight leaders of hero groups. Cyclops, Leonardo (Ninja Turtles), and Chip (from Chip and Dale!) all the way ;)

just glad to hear its not wolverine as in that evil state up north :D ....

oh plz cyclops? WOLVERINE would smoke his ass. think about it, WOLVERINE beat the HULK and he beat Spider-Man. Secondly, all WOLVERINE has to do is impale Cyclops with one punch and its over. All he has to do is just dodge a couple of eye blasts and move in for the kill. what comics are these? secondly, you said they were training? training doesnt mean jack. Plus, I heard of some comic parallel universe (I'm not so much into the new stuff) where WOLVERINE had to kill Cyclops (i think it had something to do with that Onslaught character).

Cyclops was training - Wolvie was just being attacked. Cyclops is all about being ready. These were the Proteus issues - I think it was around issue 145 (I have it in my closet but I don't feel like digging it up). Point was, Cyclops BEAT Wolverine. He has to impale Cyclops with one punch, but Cyke would have to let him get a punch in :)

In any case, yeah, Wolverine is badass - I just have my biases, heheh.

Oh, by the way, have you read "Origin"? It's the story of Wolverine's past and youth and stuff. Very cool.

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr... don't make me go beserk! *SNIKT*

just kidding! To be quite honest, I always liked the idea of WOLVERINE's origin being a complete mystery, because, I always had a feeling if someone actually wrote out his true identity, they would do a ****ty job at it. u know what I mean? sometimes its more artistic to leave things open to the reader's interpretation.

HOWEVER!!! the writers did a great job with WOLVERINE. Origin is a great story. I thought it was a great way to show his true origin. he was born in 1850. crazy right? that healing factor should does wonder for the aging. And in one issue, Sabretooth says that the reason WOLVERINE can't remember anything from his past because of his healing factor. His healing factor not only helps his body, but his mind. And Origin was a dramatic story, thus his healing factor covered everything up. interesting no?

Well back on topic here but some chick called me peter pan when I was in middle school cause I had a fro like petter pan. I told her to call me anything but peter. Pan man, Lord of never neverland (glad that one didn't stick now). Pan man stuck. I was born in 79.

Of course, don't forget "Punisher kills the Marvel Universe"... Good ole Frank Castle takes out the entire Team of the X-Men, including ole Wolverine and Cyclops. ;)

Hey, I'm a major Castle fan. (Of course, in keeping with the thread, my nick is from my name - first initial, middle initial, last name)

:)

I got my name from the Titan of Greek mythology.
