Reason behind the name.

User Name defined...

Ok, so what does your user name mean? Or, where did you come up with it?

BTW - Mine is a nickname from HS. It is short for my last name, Ripley (believe it or not). My younger brother had the same nickname.

-Rip

Mine is nothing interresting.

it is mine entire name plus the last 2-digits of the year of my birth.

At least you didn't say John Doe.

hmmm, wheni was smaller i would always give my friends nicknames. and my brothers name is chris, my name is cory. so throughout my childhood, i called my brother these nicknames ( gets pretty extreme, lol ) crib, cryptonite, plucky?, extra terrestrial, kevlar....among others...and then finally cripple. that one was the one that stuck the most. ( no hes not disabled ) but yeah, my name is cory, so, cripple, cory, corple. he always warped the nicknames i gave him to fit my name. kevlar, cory, korvlar. lol were weird. so yeah, there ya go :p

i like your story spock

All the cool names were taken when I registered on discussion boards initially, so I thought of the first thing that popped into my mind; ballast.Ballast is the loose stones commercial roofers use to weigh down sections of rubber roofs.I don't know why it came to mind, maybe because I was always the one stuck spreading that crap whenever it was called for.

Ballast is also what they call the sandbags/counterweights on ships, air balloons, and blimps.

Mine comes from a discussion on evolution in anatomy class. The professor remarked something to the effect that evolution occurs to overcome weaknesses and I figured that my journey into strength training was an evolution of self or something like that.

Plus it's the name of the barbell club I'm trying to get set up. Evolution Barbell Club.
