Weight-Loss really low calorie foods to snack on?

Weight-Loss
Diet foods are crap - they just make you think about food MORE, making you more hungry, so you eat more of the diet food.
I suggest you make sure you state this as your opinion in future rather than fact.

Whilst you might be able to live one way, others may not. Going from eating a LOT of food of one type straight onto a small amount of another type of food is a massive undertaking that you just cant do overnight.
Even now after a couple of years, i still get times when i crave the wrong things or im hungry but have actually had enough calories for the day.
Sometimes i just have the munchies or want to feel full, or crave a particular food. Whilst ive trained my stomach to now accept a LOT less food, and i do eat healthy 90% of the time, You have to be kidding me if you thought i did that kinda thing overnight.

Everything anyone says is their own opinion, unless its backed up by a source or is in quotation marks.

'Diet' foods are no different from normal foods, they contain calories just like everything else, it's just a marketing ploy.

I see so many people getting around eating diet EVERYTHING, yet they completly disregard all the fresh unprocessed healthy foods that are around. I just don't think its a healthy mindset to have...

Oh yegads save us from marketing. If people actually understood that then there wouldnt be any 'diet' foods or gimmicks.
All i ask was that in future i, and im sure a few others, would appretiate that you word things a little more constructivly so that its not construed to be fact when in fact its an opinion.

100% whole grain choc rice cakes, yum, and of course fruits and veggie sticks. Be careful when you are buying any kind of so called healthy snacks from the middle isles of the grocery store, because they tend to have high fructose corn syrup(HFCS) as a main ingredient. It will only sabotage your weight loss.

Sugar free candy for diabetics. It's sweet enough to be delicious, but it won't negatively affect your waste line (although it does nasty things to some people's bowels!).

If I have an uncontrollable "snack attack" I grab a can of carrots, or beans and heat them up and eat the whole can. I know many people find steamed carrots discusting, but I love them, and it takes that craving down a little bit, or totally away. If the craving doesn't go away completely, I then will eat a 100 calorie pack, or cocoavia chocolate <--awesome stuff, and I find it more satisfying and fullfilling. Almost like I ate a lot of the snack item because I filled myself first with diet friendly veggies. I don't know if that helps much..But if a simple answer of what snack food I like was wanted it would definately be the cocoavia chocolate. =))

I snack on lunch meat or eat a granola bar between meals.

A slice of ham or turkey lunch meat has about 30 calories. Eat one of those every half-hour or every hour between meals. And when you eat meals, try not to eat more than you need to satisfy your hunger.

Also, sometimes I snack on dry cereal with no milk. A 1-cup serving of dry Cheerios has only 100 calories. Eat it dry with water to wash it down.

To get my chocolate fix, I'll put only one chocolate chip in my mouth and let it melt.

I was a big cheese and cracker fan when i was big. I learned to enjoy 3 Wasa light crackers (60 cal) and a wedge of laughing cow cheese (35 cal). It's a great <100 cal snack.

Also, I cut up and make my own pita chips. I use a brand named Joseph's and each pita has 60 calories. I spray them with a little Pam then sprinkle with garlic powder and bake. I will dip these in salsa for a great snack.

Hope this helps

Matt

I'm a huge fan of dill pickles when I'm hungry or craving something. They're pretty low-cal, and have a strong flavor that makes my mouth happy. I tend to find that celery/lettuce have too mild flavors, and cheese has a quality about it that just makes me always want more.

Beef jerky is surprising low in calorie, tasty as all hell and fills you right the hell up. :)

it's pretty good for protein, too.

My mom found me this bag of stir fried veggies that's only 70 cal a cup, and it has a sauce with it, so if you don't like the taste of all the vegitables alone, you have something to cover it with :)
