Quiting My Job!

So today I want to give my notice at the job I've been at for 3 months and HATE!!!!!!!!!!! Like it's awful I have nightmares!

So today I wanna quit but I only want to finish out the week, not 2 - any suggestions on how to word it so that hey hopefully I get kicked out the door as soon as I drop the the bomb!

How long have you been there, though? Because depending, you may not be required to give any notice at all, or only a week, or whatever. Also there are conditions under which you can leave. Like have your doctor write up a little thinger about how job stress is killing you. Free pass. Just like getting out of school. ;)
 
When my fiance quit he had to give two weeks notice, but he managed to work it out so that his normal two days off a week were at the end of the last of the two weeks, got people to cover his shifts for some of the other days, and then just didn't show up for the remaining two days =P Or something like that.
 
If you give two weeks and don't finish it out, it could ruin a good reference. Like I tell my athletes--you might not like the situation, but suck it up.
 
I did it over the phone - no choice, but he said he saw it coming!! Now I have to post the add for him- so hopefully with in the next few days we hire someone!
Yes Iam starting a new career - Im done sitting behind the desk!!

You did it over the phone? Next time do it in writing and in person. Having been a boss and been around many bosses, a lot won't accept a resignation unless it is in writing and in person.

I agree, that bridge just burned and fell into the river.
 
Just be honest with them and tell them that the job isn't for you and thank them for the time and training, if they assisted you in that way at all. No reason to tell them you hate the job or anything of that nature. Simply saying the job isn't for you will suffice or you can also tell them that you found something elsewhere that your more interested in.

The only way to get kicked out sooner is to do something bad which, as evo said, can ruin a good reference.

I'd suck it up for an additional week and get it over with properly.

Or, you can tell your boss to post the add himself and tell him to go **** himself for asking you to do that. But, I didn't tell you :D

First off he is never in the office part of the reason I hate it here - he micro manages so my work piles up till he will actually sit with me for a few minutes! So when he called I said will I see you later, I need to talk to you and would prefer to in person - right away he said "your leaving aren't you" So as tacky as the phone is it was awesome lol.

Second - Im not worried about a refrence since I would never put this on my resume - I've only been here for 3 months.
 
Since when is it actually required to give 2 weeks notice?

I have had 4 jobs since getting out of the air force. first i landed at home depot. was there for two weeks and had just finished training. i realized it was gonna suck and got offered an easier job for more pay. Didnt go back.

That job I was at for a year. The new job called and said "You start Monday." I told my manager, Friday is my last day. This was on Tuesday. I then left that job on a written two weeks notice, because I knew when I would be leaving. However I put in my tuition reimbursement (3K$) 2 days before and then had 1 week of vacation already scheduled as my last week.
