Question for other women about how your breast size has been effected by weight loss

They've always been, well, floppy, and they tend to spread... meaning they're out toward my arms moreso than closer to the middle... I've heard them called "waterwings". The upside of being a smaller size is that I can go and get some really nice bras that make me look good, instead of just looking for something that fits and holds them in place.
Can't believe I'm saying this... eeek!
Hah havnt heard them called that - but yeah i FULLY understand where you're comming from!
Ive always appretiated my smaller assets - cant say ive ever wanted to be huge :)

Well I am new to the whole losing weight thing. I've been trying to lose weight for a year now... used to weight up to 218lbs. And within the MONTH before I started losing weight, I went from a 38C to a 40D. And then about 2 months AFTER I was losing weight... I went down to 210lbs... however my boobs went up to a 42D. I swear they keep growing over time. I keep feeling like my weight is coming off from everywhere else, but migrating upwards. I've always had big boobs my whole life. I keep tellin my friends that if I could I'd shed some off and sell it. LoLz. Well, now I'm yo-yoing from 199-203lbs and am stuck at a 41D. So I did go down in size technically... however they don't make bras for that size! 40D is too tight and 42D is too big. I've been dealing with this for about half a year now... so I gave up on bras all together. I seriously do NOT own one. I always wear those cami's with built-in bras now. And I get the support I need without having to worry bout the size, for the most part. But yes, I've heard that "normally" being the key word, women lose weight/fat from their boobage first. I guess my body just doesn't like the term "normal" huh? LoLz.

Well at my highest weight (214 lbs) I was a 38 C, I'm now 169 lbs (50lbs lost) and I've noticed a huge difference, none of my bra's fit well and I'm sure I'm a very low B now, maybe 32B. I want to go to 135lbs and I'm scared I'm gonna go back to an A cup. My god, tell me it's not true. Why can't i keep my breasts - lol. Oh well, if it's not meant to be, it's not meant to be. I feel more healther and happier so I'll accept the one downfall.

You probably won't see much of a change if your wanting to lose about 15lbs.

If you want to lose the weight I say go for it and forget about if you "might" lose some size in your breasts.

:)

This is one thing I have been worried about. My boobs shrinking! I've always been a full C cup but ofcourse on my big body they dont show up much, but I dont want them to shrink! lol..im hoping ill be like the others of you who said that they look bigger just because the rest of the body is smaller now!

weight loss and breast size

These are not silly questions at all.
You are an average size woman, if you want to lose 15 pounds it will definitly affect your breast size. It will effect the size of you in general. Everything will be smaller and tighter when you reach your goal. And the last thing you should worry about is your breasts getting smaller. Yes they will be smaller, but so will your waist and thighs. You will look like you should look..... without all fat that junk food puts on. Good luck!:)

I am also 5'2" and as you can see quite overweight. I hope that after I lose 40 pounds I am a cup size or two smaller. I wear a 40DDD and short people with big boobs just look wrong!! I have lost weight before and it made a little difference in how my bra fit but not a tremendous amount, I saw the loss more in my face and neck. I am finding it harder to get the weight off the hips but the boobs would work for me too!!

i am a 40 d atm and i have lost 33lbs so far- and my boobs have not moved, and im annoyed cos i am 4ft 11 so i look like a truck with the boobs:( my shoulder and back sizes have changed but the boobs havnt moved.

HELP:(

Genetics, no winning there. Probably the first place you gain, too, right?

For me, it's the first place I lose and last place I gain. Went from a 34DD to a 34A-B. :p

Ive fluctuated about 20 give or take a few pounds in the past few years and my boobs have pretty much stayed the same 36C but i do notice when I put on a little more weight that are more voluminous lol then they are when Im at a lower weight.

I had no boobs until I got fat and, as the weight has come off, I've been very pleased. But then I prayed. I said "Lord... Please let me keep my boobs. I like 'em and I think you know, after all those years of being fat, I've earned them. Amen." Thus far, God has been too kind.

Funny

My girls havent gone anywhere. I'm losing inches around but cup size still the same. Once I get to my goal weight I'm going to have a breast reduction if they don't go anywhere.

I was never a very big girl up top- but when i was fat i was a good C cup.
Now ive lost 110lb im down to a very droopy B. It is pretty bad, but do remember ive lost a crapload more than 20lb.

I dont think you will loose that much boobage for just 20lb loss.

I'm right with you here, Wishes. Before I lost 140, I was around a C/full B. They're quite small now, but you know, I spent a period depressed about it and now realize I wasted good time. Overall, I'm healthier and I've more important things to worry about than my decreased bust size.

Men are either going to find me sexy or not, and truth be told, I feel sexier being more lean with less breasts then bigger with cleavege. Besides, if my breasts were bigger, I would topple over given my lack of a badunkadunk bottom.

Regardless of tiny boobs, I still get rather flattering compliments. In fact, I've gotten told on more than one occasion that I look like a model. If my breasts were uberly huge, I doubt I would so much, you know?

I'm happy with myself, and have come to understand that there's no where I can go from here besides up, provided I exhert self-control and direction to maintain my health.

I think it's different for everyone and depends on your starting weight as well. I lost weight from my waist first, then my hips, then my boobs last of all. When I lost about 25lb I went from a 34D to a 32C. From a reliable source, I have been told that when you regain weight you return to your original proportions -so your breasts aren't gone forever! When you first regain the weight it may seem a little different e.g. more on your torso but then it redistributes. Though actually I don't know if that last bit applies if you are gaining from a healthy weight, I was underweight when I was told that.

My breasts haven't really gotten noticeably smaller despite losing 20lbs. I'm still the same cup size now as I was when I started and I'm wearing the same size bra, but I'm on the inner set of hooks now. It won't be long before I have to buy smaller bras, but I anticpate having to go down only to a 38C from a 40C.

I've lost most of my weight from my butt and only my butt. It's getting flat. My legs and arms are also a little slimmer.

I didn't notice that they got smaller until my friends started to point it out to me. I went bra shopping and I dropped a cup size (DD-D). It's not the place where I want to drop the pounds but what can I do?

I went from a 42DD to probably a 36C at this point. I couldn't be happier. They don't get in my way anymore when I'm trying to paint, weld, whatever, I'm not getting that chafing between boom and ribcage, I can go get cute lacy bras that they just don't make in larger sizes Best of all... they're more sensitive! :reddevil:

I'm jealous

In among all these stories of people who have lost weight with not too dramatic a change to their breasts - I feel that I need to add balance with my experience.

I was big - very big. I dont know how big my boobs were at the start - but I remember slimming down and getting a 52G bra. I am now 30HH. My back has narrowed nicely. I have lost much of the contents of my boobs - but the skin has not properly reduced at all. Much of the HH cup contents are in fact loose skin. I accept that they will not naturally shrink - and my doctor is supporting my application for breast reduction surgery.

I am pleased that I have lost the weight that I have lost - but am certain that without surgery my breasts will always look disfigured when not fully clothed. Thankfully my figure looks ok in clothing and my husband loves me just as I am.

when i lost 50lbs the first time around my bra size went down but my cup size pretty much stayed the same.

of course everyone is different and loses in different ways.

Same here, I was a 44D when I started and am now a 38D. I think it really just depends on your body but I would imagin that loosing 15lb or so wouldnt have a dramatic effect on your bra size.
