punching yourself

Alright I have just ended my bulking cycle after about 3-4 months and the use of creatine....all of my muslces such as chest back arms shoulders have increased dramatically and look great. Obviouys I have put on a little weight in the midsection and "pooch" area because of how much I was eating. Now I am determined to define the abs a little bit more. I was about 165 and now I am 178-180. I have obviouys gained muslece and possibly a little bit of fat. I am looking now to get back down to maybe 168-170

I have 2 questions: 1) while running on a treadmill does hitting or like punching yourself in the abs help get them stronger, and while on the cutting cyle will the creatine help bring out he muslces ever more

THANK YOU FOR THE REPLIES IF ANY

No, please don't punch yourself. If you do anyway, please post a video for entertainment purposes.

Creatine on a cutting cycle will do the same thing as on a bulking cycle, it will help give you more energy from the ATP-CP phase, before switching to anaerobic glycolysis.

There's this older guy at the Bally's I go to that punches himself in the abs when he's doing crunches.

So ridiculous.

word

hahaha word alright everyone i got it i've just been told a lot of differnet things and wanna ask the experts

Same here....it gets the blood flowing.

i came onto this post to laugh at the thought of someone punching themself.

then i read this and realised that i, too, have a tendency to punch myself to wake myself up a bit.

ever take a look at your life from a different point of view and wonder what they hell is going on?

dude, now that i tihnk of it, maybe punching yourself in the abs while running isnt a bad idea... you could even make a rhythm to make the time go by faster:D

all humor aside though, getting punched repeatedly in the abs or other parts of your body is great for sports like karate or boxing. once you do it for a while, your bone density as well as muscles start to be able to absorb more powerful blows... if any1 disagrees, then they should honestly try and see for themselves. its called hard body training, and its what those dudes u see on tv breaking 10 blocks of bricks with their fist do. i just saw a discovery channel documentary called "fight science" and they tested two of those dudes, and they proved that through getting punched and punching hard surfaces for a long time their bone density increased greatly. if u wanna try this though, have a partner repeatedly punch you, not too hard mind you, around the abs and even the solar plexus... it makes it stronger and able to withstand blows. have fun! however, if you think getting punched routinely in the abs will make the muscle any bigger, then no, thats not true.

Wait, doesn't a serious bruise make the muscle grow? A few years back I fell off an extension ladder and broke my leg... now there is still a sizeable "lump" on the muscle there, where I always just assumed the muscle was torn up and repaired itself to be twice as large.

Who told you this? Someone who wanted to punch you?

Don't punch yourself. It's stupid.

i dont just randomly go around punching myself, its incorporated into our shotokan training. you have a partner punch you at a designated spot, for example the solar plexus, which is very weak at first, but after practicing this routinely you develop a sort of extra layer that absorbs the blow, im not sure how to explain it scientifically, but it works. just look at the dudes who do muay thai, their legs are freakin hard as rock because theyve repeatedly practiced kicking each other so many times that the bruises and broken bone fibers have regenerated and as a result you have more bone density. im not saying its the healthiest thing to do, because im pretty sure it leads to calcium deposits in your bones when u get to like 50-ish, but for the time being it makes you feel pretty good when you can punch a brick wall with your knuckles and not really feel any pain, and then realize how effective you'd be able to deal a blow to someones face and not feel any pain; just saying.

in no way shape or form does practicing getting hit or punched make your muscles look any stronger. if you think you will see any results from getting punched, then don't even bother, because you won't.
