Performance -Not Enough!

rode mountain bike to gym
did some laps
rode mountain bike home

THE TANK IS EMPTY!

but wat i did with the swim was somethin kind of cool. I stuffed my goggles with paper so i could not see and tried swimming laps to see how straight I could swim. It was totally overwhelming to be blind. Then after about 15 minutes and panicking, I started accepting it. My knuckles are all beat up from the plastic lane markers, but I ended up finding a very zen, peaceful, acceptance, and I started swimming slow smooth and straight.
**very cool experience and I highly recommend it. BUT- no peaking. must go thru, frustration, panic, frustration, anger and then acceptance to get the whole deal.

In total, for all intensive purposes, I was blind for nearly an hour.
FF

Swimming blind is messed UP! LOL. FF your one special dude! Your tank is never empty........you can run on empty for days dude!

By the way........My eye is better......my wife says so.....

on a rest day. Went to the gym with my sugar pie honey bunch and played around with her while she did her routine. She actually threatened to come on here and tell you guys what I was doing.

nothing better than havin your own private chicky doing hamstring curls. heehee It was fun being around some of the peeps that see me grinding for hours, but just being me "FLYINFREE" and having some fun!

anyhow,, i almost got my one handed handstand a couple of times. that is going to be so cool. how about single handed hand stand press-ups?? oh my!

anyhow,, bike is all set, and i made sure my wheels aren't rubbing- LOL CBWill
got a nutrition plan, liquid plan, and mileage plan. it is my goal to ride 100 miles (triple digits baby) within 5 hours. I am taking a primarily flat course along the suncoast parkway (veteran's expressway). up and out at 5:am.

Have a good time on the ride.

Oh if you let the tires rub you can also get your strength training in at the same time:D

104 miles 6:53:46 - yes, that is 6 hours and 53 minutes. the human body is incredible.

anyhow, I left at 5:45 and the first thing I realized was-- no coffee! fear of headache was un-necessary because it never came.

at 32 miles I thought of CBWill - and 32 miles is a heck of a ride.

at 41 miles I turned around because it felt like I was going to die

at 56 miles i got off the bike and ran for 15 minutes, also at 70, 80, and 90, but just a lil bit to check out my knees.

total intake was 64 oz of gatorade, 16 oz accelerade, 4 gels, 8 electrolyte tabs, 1 peanut butter and jelly sandwich, and 128 oz of water. I ONLY LOST 6 POUNDS! - nutrition plan in place.

average speed 17+ miles per hour

when i got off the bike, we -the bike and i, had a whole new relationship.

at 4:32 min i realized I had entered a fitness zone where I'd never been.

at about 5.5 hours things got really weird for a lil bit, ears, and colors, and I lost track of everythig for about 5 miles.

at finish I was no hungry, I was not thirsty, and I could have started running. for how far I do not know.

Today- was by far the highlite of my "endurance" experience.

FF

Wow indeed. You're damn inspiring. Your dedication and insight constantly delves into spirituality. I can definately relate to how you go about forging yourself from the inside out. I just can't relate to the miles and miles of distance...endurance...I'm getting tired just thinking about it

thansk for the koodsos all. the endurance comes a little at a time.

Tonight

Swam 1500 (1 mile) 34:40
Ran 5 miles 45:20
Swam 750 (1/2 mile) 21:18

Rode Moutain bike to gym and back.

after 3 days off it felt good to work out some. Ear is still a bit tender inside.

FF

huh!! didn't post yesterday - Run: 60 min RPE 4 - 6.5 miles

Today
Ride: 30 min RPE 3
3750 meters continuous (2.4 miles - Iron distance) 1:48
Ride: 30 min RPE 3

Cramped twice during swim, did not touch bottom. it may be wise to consume more water-- a belly full on the way into the water.

(can't imagine that i will be able to do that, an then ride 108, and then run 26.2. Of course i never would of thought i could swim that far either. Amazing thing the body is)

Going to a fitness and body buildin competition tonight.

they asked me at the gym to take a certification course so I can do endurance training. Very complimentary but we'll see. What was the coolest about it was the Mgr saying 'We all watch you, and we don't have anybody that does what you do, and others want to." Made me feel insane- like when base jumpin, or motocrossin, or skating back in the day! Leperd and spots an all that hocky pockey.

the Thrill of the Edge is knowing it is actually the edge.

Recovery Day

Swim: 300 free, 300 kick, 300 free, 300 kick

Fitness and body building competition was great last night.

We saw Mr. Olympia and his son, we saw Cindy Day do a routine, (and she did a single hand, handstand pressup(it's possible).... we also had some time with her after. She is radical- Derwyddon- you would of loved her.

The chick we went to see took 3rd place in figure- TJ my son is in love.
She is second from the left in this top 5 photo- terrible cell phone snap i know.

VERY neat stuff FF! You should really consider that! You are the perfect candidate for it :D

PS as if I didn't have a TON of respect for ironman condenders before...but experiencing the ride and realizing 100+ miles of riding is in the middle of a 2.4 swim and a MARATHON has just brought me to a deeper awed reverence of that *species* of people. amazing

Just a note dude-- you're an inspiration. Gettin' back on here more regularly and have some work to do.

Later bud-- you rock!

DOC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! totally cool to see you dude!! you've missed it, all kinds of stuff, you even missed me being a right wing radical and stuff!!

hahahaha

Today

That's amazing FF, good to see you're an inspiration to others, I think I'd have been to embarrassed to answer the guy if he said that to me

CCR,
good point and i think i would have been embarrassed EXCEPT- there aint nobody else doing a solid 2.5-3 hours of hard grinding a night, 6 days a week.

I'm an going to be an ironman dude!! and yep-- I'm gettign the tatoo!

ok ok maybe a lil pumped up.

had to do my workout late, and in the dark. My sweetheart will be out at night for the next seven weeks. yikes!! So I've got lots of duties-- maybe I should postpone my event? hahahaha that wouldn't be ME, FLYINFREE!!

so I rode by moonlight- gotta have faith.

BRICK-
RIDE: 60 minutes, did 1 mile wind sprints. Av speed of 24 MPH, top speed of 31 MPH (aero bars made a world of difference).
RUN: 40 minutes (my pick for pace) ran 4.5 miles HIIT / tempo / and paced out the last 2.

Feelin very strong!!

Swim:
WU: 250 meters
10 X 100 (25 easy, 25 build, 25 easy, 25 fast)
2:02, 2:05, 2:04, 2:00, 2:01, 1:54, 2:02, 1:54, 1:55, 2:06
CD: 150 Easy

Then did some wind sprints with Eswardo. We are pretty even in speed, but he is using a double kick technique an i am wagging my feet. Meaning he keeps the same speed with much less effort. Smoooooooooth

then he says,,, see ya on th bike Saturday-- prepare for PAIN! yikes!!!! hehhe he doesn't know me yet....... we'll see who waffles.

Need my sleep.

XO's to all,,, yes all, well except YOU- and you know who YOU are! hahaahah

FF

7 miles into a 10 mile run I bonked. Had to walk home. I even tried to pick it up and start a few times and it was a no go. Never really felt like that before. AND- coincidentally (yeah right) my training plan gives me tomorrow off.

Me tie tie

night night
