Pacoltmaki's Weight Loss Diary

Congratulations! I agree that the scales will probably go up again next time you way with non-empty guts and a bit more water weight but it´s still always nice to see. Sorry to hear you´re dealing with depression though: that sucks. Have a hug if you need one :grouphug:

Depression does suck. Hope today is better :grouphug:

Thank you LaMaria and Cate! I will try to have a good day today, going on a family bike ride, hoping for a minimum of resistance and fights on the children's part. :)

Food more or less ok, which means I still have not cheated: eaten anything with sugar, potato, rice, flour etc. I had 3 slices of rye bread with butter and cheese and tomato. Snacks: protein cubes (4 small pieces) and a slice of masdaam cheese. Lunch, half portion of misestrone soup, I'm proud I could stop midway, my husband put way too much in my bowl (I used to eat until I finished off whatever was on my plate, so that's progress)

Also I went shopping with my daughter on our bikes and had a very good time together.

Plan for the afternoon: bike ride with the other two kids and husband, yaaaay. :)

Bike-driven shopping sounds good! Is the adorable pup in the new profile pic yours? Sounds like you´re doing great and I hope the afternoon bikeride is as fun as the morning one.

Yes, that's our 2 year old Sissi, something I promised my children who were dying for a puppy for years and years and dream came true in the form of a less ordinary dog as far as personality goes (OMG).
Had a really good afternoon with the other 2 kids, bike ride, found a nice park in which trees have been planted each year from 1989, so we were busy finding which kind of tree was planted when, was fun apart from the freezing cold.
No snack or dinner and I still feel full since lunch..

Half a bowl of minestrone for lunch and nothing after that is... very little. Especially with two bike rides in one day. Remember when you asked about how to build up your activity levels without crashing after a couple of weeks? One of the ways is by giving your body something to work with so I hope you´re not going TOO extreme here.

Sissi is gorgeous - I sometimes wish I wasn´t allergic to everything and anything but then I´ve only just got back to a level of functioning where I feel able to take care of houseplants so I probably shouldn´t even be thinking about pets :p

Just wanted to say hi, Pacoltmaki. Was just reading through your diary. Your bike rides sound like a lot of fun and great that the whole family is involved!

Sissi looks very sassy. Very cute!
Good for you & the kids riding bikes in the cold. What a lovely thing to do as a family :)

I know, the amount of food I ate is not ideal but I really wasn't feeling hungry. The minestrone was with grated cheese though :) that's my weakness: cheese. I can say no to everything but I don't want to ever not eat cheese. :)

I'm sorry about your allergies! It's so difficult when you have them! They suck. :( Houseplants are as difficult to care for, mine always die, I'm horrible with houseplant..

Thank you for popping in :)! The autumn park and trees and dead leaves are so beautiful in the sunshine, so the rides were really beautiful. After this week's rides, I took my dog for a longer walk in the woods this morning. A good start of the day!

76.0 kg this morning! I'm so happy!
Started the day with a 30mins walk with Sissi the dog, crispy cold air and noone around. Yaaay

So let's see how it went today.
Breakfast: 3 slices of rye bread with salmon and cheese, tomato
Lunch: other half of the bowl of minestrone soup with grated cheese
Snack: Few cubes of mango, slice of cheese

I have to cut down the cheese omg :D

Exercise : bike ride with kids and dog in the front basket, found a really funky area in the park.

Notes for tomorrow: less cheese, more protein. When I started the diet I used to eat an omlette every morning, lean chicken breast with vegetables, fruits as snacks. Now I just don't really eat and that doesn't make much sense.
Note 2. WATEEEEEER
Note 3. I will restart the running app tomorrow with the very first day of week 1 in the beginner's section, even if it seems boring/not challenging enough. And walk with Sissi.

You´re dropping weight like nobody´s business! Would it help you to set an alarm once an hour to remind you about water drinking?

I have that option in the running app, it buzzes, I just ignore after the 3rd.. What helps sometimes is if I put out a big jug of some fruit tea and every time I go near it, I drink. That works for some time but then I start to forget to prepare the jug... But I can give it another go tomorrow. Thanks for the tip! :)

water! yes! something i need to remember too!

I had a day just like that today--sure is motivating to get out there with such beauty around!

Right? It can be so uplifting!
Also, I've been reading in your diary, and it's sooo inspiring, wow! Today, I'm going to restart running, going slowly this time and not 5k on day 1 :D
