One Step at a Time

One of my sisters wouldn't cross that bridge, and I'm pretty sure she's human! Glad you're both alright though. You're new fish looks like a flower :beating:

I'm like your sister LaMa! I actually hate those kinds of bridges myself so can well relate to Sam... just looking at that photo makes my palms sweat and my feet go weak!

Well, today was another day that didn't go quite as planned but it was still good. Helped my grandma move some of her chicks to the chicken coop to make room for some new 3 day old chicks. I kept two to have in my place a little longer to play with them and get them more tame since my grandma wants some of the chicks to be decently tame.

Then I went off to the horses and went for a ride which lasted around an hour to an hour and a half. Sam did good but then threw in a couple of fits so we did some extra work and I got him running around a bit more. It honestly felt like a test to see just which one of us had more endurance than the other to see all that through. Thankfully I managed to last longer and he settled down and started to behave again. After that ride, my legs were once again, feeling like jelly lol and I was sweating pretty good. So I definitely got my workout in today and so did he!

I've also continued to stick with the lower calorie diet and I'm pretty sure I've lost some weight. I get paid tomorrow so I plan on getting some groceries to keep going with healthy meals. So ya, things are going well so far and life is quite good on the farm.

House chicks sound lovely! Chick pics? Glad you won the "battle" with Sam; stay safe! And of course yay for payday and healthy groceries :)

Definitely had a decent workout yesterday since my legs are a little sore today lol. Also got some groceries so now I'll have some tasty good meals and they were actually cheaper than I expected so that was a nice surprise.

And since you guys want to see the chicks. here are some pics of the cute little fluff balls. They're 4 days old now I believe and there's a total of 50 chicks. And a pic of the turd horse who likes throwing fits lately l and then sucking up later like nothing happened lol.

We used to have chickens and i can just about smell them (like a really nice comforting smell) when i see the pictures.
We only had ours for eggs so we also had a great attachment to them as pets.
That's great about the groceries being cheaper than expected--always a bonus!

That´s so funny: I was going to see my parents keep chickens and I´m almost starting to sneeze just looking at the pics :D They´re so cute though!

So today marks another week having gone by. When I weighed myself, I was down to 212.5 lbs so I'm definitely making progress which is great. I don't really have much more to update with since not much has been happening. Don't really have any pics either. Haven't felt too great so I haven't done too much. But I'm sure in the next day or so, I'm going to get back into the swing of things with exercise. Though I can say I have noticed the pills I've been taking helping to stabilize my moods so that's a pretty good plus.

Better mood and lower weight? Both very much worth reporting! Glad to hear you´re doing so well despite not being well.

So today I had lunch with my family which was really good and was the easter type lunch with turkey, mashed potatoes, veggies, and just a few other good tasting food. I kept my portions reasonable and didn't go for seconds. But then my mom gave me a lindt chocolate rabbit. I accepted it and figured I'd eat it since I didn't want to be rude and they are some of my favorites.

Well, after eating that, I figured there was probably lots of calories in it so I didn't have anything else to eat other than one cheese slice in the evening. Oh, I also didn't have breakfast today since I slept in until like, 11:30. So really, I haven't eaten much at all today. And surprisingly, I'm not overly hungry. Maybe a little snackish at times but then it fades and I feel fine. And after eating that rabbit, I didn't really want to eat much else anyways to try to prevent myself from going over my calorie limit too much. And yes, I did eat it all today. I didn't feel like having it last over a few days since it'd be too easy to go over my cal limit if it was around and I ended up just finishing it then.

I did do some research and I think the rabbit was actually a little over 500 calories. And the lunch I had probably would've been around 400-600 cals which means I wouldn't have much wiggle room for too much more food anyway. But I only really figured that out just now. But I'm also going to go to bed earlier today so I get up at a more reasonable time tomorrow and get back to having a proper breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I'm also going to get back into working with the horses some more again since I gave them a small break from the work and I'm feeling better so ya, things are gunna fall back into place tomorrow.

All sounds excellent Ann. Great work on enjoying Easter dinner without over-doing it. The chocolate rabbit sounds good. I'm a sucker for Easter treats, but luckily i have none in the house to tempt me!

Enjoying an Ester lunch with people you love and not even going over calories sounds wonderful! I had one of those bunnies as well on Saturday, but.. I definitely went over my calories with it!

So I did over do it with calorie intake yesterday, but today has been better and I actually ended up skipping lunch (had a nap that lasted a little too long) so I suppose that helps balance it out.

Also didn't do anything with the horses yesterday cause the weather was really bad and raining. Didn't do anything today either because my grandma wanted to come along and her health isn't good enough to stand around while I work the horses. But she got to see them and pet them a bit which made her day so that was nice since she loves horses.

I'm hoping tomorrow goes better and that I get into the swing of things better again. Until then, here's some pics of the horses and two chicks that I kept in my cabin for a bit to tame a little more.

Such cuties! Hope today´s a better day again for you. At least having those little chicks with you should keep your spirits up :beating:

I've been feeling much better today! I actually didn't have breakfast. Totally forgot about it and wasn't even hungry till around 11:30 so I haven't had breakfast, but have had lunch and supper. I also went out to the horses and took Jack for a walk today as well. It's good for him to get out and see things since pretty soon, I'm going to start riding him. Along our walk, we ran into a few people who were quite happy to see a horse and some kids who were also equally excited to see him. So I'm pretty glad that Jack was able to bring smiles to other people who aren't able to go out and about right now.

Other than that, I don't really have much of an update. The walk was definitely good and I could feel the muscles in my legs being stretched and used more in a different way than how the bike or riding works my legs. So I'm going to try to do some more walks with the horses a few times a week.

Your picture really shows you´re feeling better! That´s so nice that Jack made unknown kids smile in their isolation :beating:
