Obesity Fighters for the 30+ BMI

Hey ya'll lets make a club for the people who are fighting there way out of obesity! Let's talk about our plans, our successes and what our dreams/goals are for the future!!!!

So what steps have you taken so far to fight back at obesity!????

great virtual pictures :) you're cute now -you're gonna be dynamite when you hit your goal :)

this sounds like a fun idea for a club :)

Ohh, I wanna join! I just turned 30 a month ago (exactly a month ago today, actually). I've been overweight since I was 5 years old and on January 1st of this year I decided to seriously do something about it. I've lost 24 lbs so far but have been stuck for the past month! I work out 5 days a week and watch my carbs, fat, calories and drink lots and lots of water! I'm pretty busy, but will try and post when I can. I also have a diet blog that I update once in awhile, LOL.

Hey?
How long has it take you to lose the 24 pounds. I've lost mine in about a month or so and still going strong with no plateau's what so ever.

hey hey I'm going to join this club, I like the sound of it!
well i started my diet at the start of this year
and have managed to get down from 226 to 184 and i feel much better about myself. However, i started of in the 'obese' range at the beginning of me diet and STILL 40+ pounds down and I'm still in it! but only two pounds away from being 'overweight' and who would have ever thought just being 'overweight' would feel so good. I know it will.

SO, basically i have taken up running, just around my block etc.. and really going for it and also setting myself times of day where sit down and eat and try not to eat in-between meals.
and porridge in the morning is very nice.

BYE XXXXXXXXX

Anyone intrested in not really a challenge more like a support...in moving from an obese BMI to one that is over weight?

I began my journey at 222 pounds..a BMI of 36. (obese)
Current weight is 198 a BMI of 32.(obese)
I will be considered overweight at the weight of 185 with a BMI of 29. (OVER WEIGHT)

I will be glad to reach over weight. after, doing so another goal will be met.

Anyone care to hop on the BMI train with me?

Of course I am there with you. I can't believe I am saying it but I will be so happy to be overweight. :rotflmao: I started at 211 lbs. This is 33 BMI - obese. Now I am 195 lbs. - 31 BMI - still obese. If we set our first aim for 29 BMI - then I have to be 189 lbs. This is not so much so I should be able to do it soon. I wish you good luck and hopefully we will have more passangers for the overweight compartment of the BMI train ;)

Hey all!!! I'm here to say it can happen!! I used to be 38.4! Now, my BMI is 27.2!!! Just 2.2 away from being HEALTHY!!!! healthy healthy healthy.... I'm so excited its taken forever!!! Good luck to all of y'all, I know you can do it too!

I'll definitely join up to get help and motivate others on this particular journey. My BMI is currently 33.6 and it scares me to know I'm obese. Let's be positive and start working on this! :]

Rice Diet

I am going to be happy joining on here I am starting the rice diet tonight, there is another blog dedicated to that but it was abandoned in January. I am 150 and need to get down to 120 to be considered healthy. My bmi is 31.3 and I need to get down to 25.

:jump:

Thank you for sharing with us. I know I can use the motivation.
Just think you will be healthy soon. I can't even begin to imagine how you will feel when that day gets here.

Me too

CrazyBabie,
I know what you mean. I had gotten to 181 pounds about 2 years ago and it took me that long to get down to 150. Mind you I am only 4'9" tall so that weight is huge for me. The last time I was at my ideal weight which is 116 was before I had my 8 yr old daughter, even then I was still 120 and that was just because of bootcamp.LOL. Today is my first day of the rice diet. Well, I started it last night so we will see, hopefully this is the trick I have been looking for.

Rice Diet

Ok, I started the rice diet on Saturday and have lost a couple of pounds already. I have even cheated a couple of times with a potluck, and 2 days of pizza for lunch.

Count me in. When I first got serious about losing weight, all I could think about was getting under 200. Now I'm fixated on getting my bmi under that damn 'obese' rating. I'm so close I can taste it... no pun intended!

So close and so far from being overweight again. I am walking arroung the border for half a month. I don't feel I am leaving the group soon. :) How do you guys will decide when you are safely in the overweight group? Is it when the scale shows weight which gives you index 30 or 29.9 or less? Does it matter for you if the result is in the morning without clothes or you want to see being in the overweight group with all your clothing in the middle of the day. I still haven't decided when to congratulate myself for the success.

Ive put weight back on, around 5lbs, which puts me at a BMI of 29. Maybe I should push it to 30 just to join the club:rotflmao:
