Sport Oatmeal, how to make it taste good?

Sport Fitness
Ok, so to improve my diet and variety of food intake, I have been eating oatmeal. But the oatmeal I have been eating is the pre packaged stuff (you know, strawberries and cream, maple and brown sugar, etc…) But does this stuff have lots of preservatives, added sugar, etc? I want to go to a healthier oatmeal, but the Quaker oatmeal “real oats” stuff is just so gross! How do you make the oatmeal taste good and be healthy?

I use plain, unsweetened oats and add:
Flaxseed
Chocolate whey protein
Blueberries
Vanilla soy milk

Tastes delicious and is heealthy.
:)

I drizzle sugar free maple syrup on top and sometimes some cinnamon mixed with splenda for an extra yummy treat. I need sweet things in the morning.

Splenda is fine in moderation....We can't remove EVERYTHING bad. Sure it's not the best for you but it helps you eat something healthy :p

ok just to start here are some POSSIBLE side effects; some affect me such as gas, and depression LOL....jk (gas does still)

bloating
abdominal pain
gas, sometimes painful
nausea
heartburn
diarrhea
headaches
migraines (severe headaches)
heart palpitations (fluttering, irregular heartbeats)
shortness of breath
depression (LOL)
anxiety and panic attacks
spaced-out or drugged sensation (lol)
joint pain, especially in the knees
dizziness

phew....oh wait heres some more

lone atrial fibrillation
extreme fatigue
muscle weakness
tingling in the mouth or tongue
tingling in the fingers and hands
numbness in the lips and tongue
swollen lips and tongue
swollen face
redness or welts on the face
mouth sores
blurred vision
pain in the eyes

ok i think thats all. next, splenda is a chlorinated sucrose derivative used as an artificial sweetener. notice the word "chlorinated". that means it has chorine in it. chlorine is toxic in the human body; which is y u dont digest it; which is why it does not affect your blood sugar ect. its a threat to your body so your body doesnt actually see it as a food. so if you actually think about it, you'r not eating food b/c your body doesnt digest it like a food. :D .

also: Independent, Long-Term Human Research:
NONE. Manufacturer's "100's of studies" (some of which show hazards) were clearly inadequate and do not demonstrate safety in long-term use. they do not know the long term affects of splenda; they do not KNOW that it is safe.

dont be mislead b/c the manufacturer claims that the chlorine added to sucralose is similar to the chlorine atom in the salt (NaCl) molecule. That is not the case. Sucralose may be more like ingesting tiny amounts of chlorinated pesticides, but we will never know without long-term, independent human research.

it is clear from the hazards seen in pre-approval research and from its chemical contents that years or decades of use may contribute to serious chronic immunological or neurological disorders.

i guess if you use it once a week or month nothing will happen though :D
