No Mercy Diary

Alright, everyone else is starting a diary so I guess I'll join in. I like the name :) lol.

Ok I'll post my diet and running or w.e and when I weigh myself what it is.

Day 1
6/12/06

Food:
-2 Egg whites on Whole grain bread
-Ceaser salad with muffin
-Chicken breast

...I think that's it, usually it's more.

Drink:
-4 Bottles of water

Exercise:
-Bench Press
-Dips
-Reverse curls
-Some forearm thing (stand back straight and bring weight up to shoulder level out infront)
-Pushups
-Shoulder (hold weights in hands and lift up arms from the shoulders)
-Running 1 mile (or as best I could...mostly a HIIT)
-Row machine

My third day running. It was the toughest day, I think that because I jumped into it with a mile and did it for three days straight that it isn't too good. So I think that I'm going to skip running tomorrow and the next day. So that I can be running on days were I'm not at my friend's house that has all the weights I work with on Mondays, Wednesday and Friday.

Day 2
6/13/06

Food:
-2 Egg white on whole grain bread
-Ceaser salad
-Yogurt (2)
-PB&J (2)

Drink:
-5 Bottles of water

Exercises:
-NOTHING, yes it was a little depressing :(

Alot of soreness. Pecs, forearms, biceps and shoulders all from yesterday. Also I think it was best to skip today and tomorrow for running because the outside part of my legs were killing all day. I'll workout tomorrow at friends house minus running, then rest the next day from lifting and run HIIT. That's going to be my schedule, 1 day run, 1 day lifting almost.

Day 3
6/14/06

Food:
-PB&J
-Yogurt
-Salad

Drink:
-3 Bottles of water

Exercise:
-1+ hour game of full-court basketball

Meh, didn't eat much today so it was kind of weird. All I did for exercise was play ball with about a dozen + friends. I had no time for any other type of exercise, kinda depressing. But tomorrow I'm pumped to get back to running, my legs feel fine today and my upper body was hurting but I got a good message from my girl so it's all better now :).

Overall mood for fitness:

You need more food and that being more protein, fruits, and vegetables.

agreed. definately need to eat more. And try to aim for more smaller meals. Keeps the metabolism going strong all day. Basketball is good cardio though.

Day 4
6/15/06

Food:
-2 Egg whites (with some yellow-couldn't get it all out) on wheat bread
-Apple
-Ruban (sandwhich on like a rye bread with stuff in it lol)
-2 Salads

Food was low because I was out all day and didn't have much time to eat.

Water:
-9 Bottles of water

Exercise:
-3 hour walk around a few towns with friends with stops along the way (3p.m. - 6 p.m.)
-INSANE HIIT/stair running thing...I'll explain. for 2+ hours (10p.m. - 12a.m.+)

-----I was EXTREMELY pissed off tonight. My brothers (18/20) mostly my 20 y/o brother brought over like 2 dozen + kids over to drink. He brought a good share of girls but mostly guys...about 6 of them we don't even know. So some are still here me and my 18 y/o bro are like kicking them out. They are shady so my 18 y/o brother, he's like one of the biggest pot dealers in this part of boston, had to hide his stash and have his 19 y/o ex-football player stay in his room guarding the stuff to keep them in check. I was really pissed off because I walked my 1st floor when they were all there and there were like people scattered all about the house so I had to tell them to get the **** out of here or there and so on.
-----I got so pissed that I knew I was gonna explode and maybe fight a few of them because they were trying to give me an attitude (I'm 15 theyre 20+) so instead of fighting them in my house I had my 18 y/o bro and his small group of friends that I'm real cool with watch the house and make sure they aren't doing anything out of control. I went and ran. It was the best running night of my life... I started out with my usual walk then try to run as far and then get a HIIT for a mile. Then I don't know why but I started running all over the place. I live by a main street and I was running all over there. I also went to like a gangster field where there is like gang shootings and gang members hanging around all the time and 4 sets of 10 stair things all put together so it's like 40 steps and I ran up those, 1 every step fast, then walked down, then 1 up every other step even faster and walked down and did that so I got in 5 of each types, I had NO fear at all because I was so pissed at my brother that I just put that into my running.
------I started looking all over my legs and was PUMPED! it was insane I have muscle tone all over you can see muscle and stuff it's awesome, I'm getting great results so far. I know that my legs are gonna kill tomorrow, but to me I think that it was worth it because I hadn't run in 2 days and I think it was a better option than getting into a fight with a few 20+ old drunk males. I went and ran as much as I could then walked till my heart rate slowed then kept repeating. It went on all over the town I live in for about an hour and a half straight, with very few sit-stops. It was best running experience I've had so far.

Overall mood for fitness: :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D....and so on lol

Overall mood for 20 drunk 20 year olds:  X a million

The F'ing smoke alarm just went off and woke up my father so we're kicking all the kids out just about except those that are real cool with the family. F'ing drunks >: (

Hey man... I think you're not eating enough. Two eggs, a sandwich, some salad and an apple could be ONE of my 6 to 7 meals. Mind that I'm only about 140...
You said it was low for that day but it looks the same on the others. I'm pretty sure you're starving yourself.

Nah, I'm not starving myself. at least not intentionally. I wake up, and have my 2 eggs on wheat bread. Then a little while later, I'll give you maybe 2-4 hours later, I'll have a LARGE ceaser salad (one of those that come in a bag with all the ingrediants). Then maybe later on I'll have an apple if theres one in the house. No more yogurt, bros and I ate them. After salad at like 7 or whatever I'll have dinner whatever it is just about. Thats about it. Tonight I kinda did starve myself because I was out all day and was hungry so while running my long time I had maybe 4 or 5 bottles that I downed. Maybe I am in a sense, but not intentionally. Theres nothing here in my house that's healthy that I can eat. I only get hungry at night and don't want to waste my day's workout of junk and crap that just packs on weight. I'm searching the forum for food suggestions but that's my usual day....Eggs, salad, maybe an apple (though I ate last 1 tonight) and whatever dinner is....maybe I should eat more...

I don't know how your whatever-dinner looks like, but I probably eat more calories for breakfast alone than you do in the aggregate until dinner time.
That's approximately what I ate yesterday:
Meal 1: oatmeal with 4 eggs (4 whites, 1 yolk), nuts, cinnamon
Meal 2: 2 slices full wheat bread with salmon, 1 apple
Meal 3: turkey with yams, onion
Meal 4: 1 apple (not a real meal, I just eat an apple half an hour before WO)
-> Workout
Meal 5: whey/flaxoil shake (not a real meal either, PWO)
Meal 6: more turkey with rice
Meal 7: spinach with 4 eggs (only whites)
Meal 8: cottage cheese with some veggies

I'm about 140 and currently cutting (you wouldn't guess: eating all this and still being effective ;)). Of course those are not massive portions... all in all about 2000 kcals.

Day 5
6/16/06

Food:
-2 Egg white on wheat
-2 Apples (1 big, 1 small)
-Starburst
-Half of an ice cream sundae (shared with my gf so only a part of it)
-Some beef jerky
-1 Banana
-1 Orange

Drink:
-4 Bottles of water
-Monster energy drink
-2 Cream sodas

Exercise:
-About a 4-5 hour walk around town
-Played a little wiffle ball with a 6 year old neighbor so not much running or that stuff for about an hour+

-----Wow, now I'm kind of seeing what your saying mr afk. I only eat when I get hungry so I don't eat that often, I think that's my main problem. I haven't weighed myself for a little while, maybe about a week, I think I'm going to weigh myself maybe tomorrow because last week I was 165 but I think I've gone down in weight. All those meals you posted are alot, as you can see I propably couldn't eat that much in a day. Do you eat when you are hungry, or just try to get in 8 meals or so a day?
-----Also, I'm 15 and out of the house most of the time so I don't really have much options to eat healthy foods 8 times a day. I'm usually out with some friends or out with my girlfriend, so it's not like I have access to that sort of things. I'm not trying to make excuses, but I was wondering if somebody has any suggestions on what I can do because I'm out of the house for many hours at a time so I can't eat eggs or salads or those types of things. The only things available are fast-food junk which I don't think is too healthy for me. Any suggestions??

I also realised today that during the day I am MUCH more tired and drowsy as compared to night time. I don't know the reason for this, maybe it's food...but another problem is that I go to bed at like 2 and don't fall asleep until like 4 or 5 (it's real annoying to be going to sleep when birds are beginning to chirp and you can see the sky getting light blue  ). I wake up around noon. I don't know how to get my sleep in order, maybe that combined with my eating habbits are the reason for daytime-drowsyness. It's not like I want to go sleep, it's more like my body is tired and doesn't want to move. My mind is wide awake.

I'm pretty sure you've lost some weight, but that's probably not fat only. The only time I'm hungry is in the morning after doing some cardio workout. Otherwise I eat pretty regurlarly. It's not that I'm only eating and exercising all day, in fact I'm a full time student, I play football, dance and I'm very social.. meaning I'm out often but.. It's about preparation. If I go out and I know I won't be back in 3-4 hours maximum I take some sandwiches with me. It's not much of a problem at all. Also often enough I'm not able to fit 8 meals into my day.. every other day it's just 5 or so. I would aim for 5 if I were you. And try to cut the junk food... that's empty calories, your body doesn't benefit from that kind of food. And when you're cutting it's even more important to choose your calories well so that you don't feel as sluggish and tired as you describe it.

I just had a weigh in, and bad news I guess. It says I'm 166. My only problem is that I can't rely on the scale I have. Last year I checked my weight and it said that I was 170+, but when I went to the doctor's office, it said that I weighed only 162. Also my brother weighed in and was a little over 150, but swore that he was only about 145 or less. So I'm not trying to rely fully on the scale I have, but that's what it said.

mr afk, I see what you mean. That makes more sense to bring something with you. Maybe I should try that. I think I will try to prepare more for the daily meals. Thanks.

Day6
6/17/06

Food:
-3 Egg whites on white (no wheat left)
-PB&J
-Sub (Ham and Cheese)
-2 Bananas
-1 Apple
-2 Bowls of Cinnamon Toast Crunch

Drink:
-2 Bottles of water

Exercise:
-Usual run, about a mile and a half HIIT
-Stair run - 1-every step fast, 1-every other step fast
-Bridges

I couldn't really get in a good run. I run back streets for my 1 mile straight, then I go on the main street. It's a saturday night so all the 'thugs' were out riding. I'm not afraid of them at any stretch of the imagination, I still did my run. The only bad part was the stair run. I run at a field where gangs hang out, it's local and has 40 stairs. Theres no other amount around. I wanted to bang in about 5 of each ways going up. But when I got there and did my few, 4 cars of the 'Mack 10' crew pulled up. I'm cool with every gang in this part of Boston, including the Heavyhitters who run this part, but not Mack 10. So I just left because there were about 10-15 of them all older coming my way.

I wonder what I weigh at the moment... ;)
no really.. weight is only semi relevant. look yourself in the mirror or better, measure your body fat. I use one of those calipers you get in every other health store.. it's not 100% accurate but it serves it's purpose which is measuring changes.

lol afk, I know that to me it's not THAT important. I usually don't check it often. But since I was starting to eat different (not much junk) and exercise regularly, then I thought I might have lost some weight so I was hoping that it worked. Guess it didn't. I do want to look in the mirror and be able to say 'damn:)'. I'm thinking about getting a caliper, but I don't have the money right now, so I will get one, but it's in my near future.

Thanks tony, I'll go and check that out and see if I can find my calories.

Day 7
6/18/06

Food:
-4 Egg whites on wheat bread
-Large salad (apx 450 cals) - those are the salads I put up
-2 Bowls of Cinnamon toast crunch cereal

Drink:
-2 Bowls of milk (with cereal)
-2 Cups of water
-1 Cup of milk

Exercise:
-1 Mile walk
-1.5 Mile walk/jog
-Stair run - 3 every, 3 every other - 40 steps per
-1 Hour swimming

Yet again I look at my post and see that I should be eating more. Going through the day I would never notice because I only eat when I'm hungry. I'm trying to think more about it and try to get it on track-bad habbits are hard to break. My only solid thing I can think about doing is breakfast. After that I get lost and don't think about it or don't have the means of eating healthy. I'll keep my research up on eating. I realise that I AM starving my body-not intentionally.
