Sport Night Craving- How to stop??

Sport Fitness
I had read this article.
http://www.fitness.com/health_weight_loss/v997147460.php

but it doesn't seems to work on me. i crave for food every night, but not in the day, i really don't know why.
The worst thing is, i go for 2hour in gym, work out very hard, do my cardio, and come home and cannot stop myself from snacking.

I tired many ways, brushing my teeth, warning myself, putting away all the tibitis, but i will still find some snacks to maunch on.

i'm not sure whether is it because my teeth need to move or i got some kind of illness. i hope someone can help me out on this.

thanks

What do you do during the night?

do something that keeps you're hands busy, find a crafting hobby or something.

i exactly have that too. i allow myself some treats; i'm not looking to have a hard athletic body, i just want to be healthy and reasonably fit. course if i start to gain weight, i'll have to substitute fruit or a tea for some of the treats....(i have lost almost 30 lbs).

You may be depriving your body...

Make sure you eat whole foods filled with complete proteins, complex carbs, and fats. These will help you feel "satiated" with the help of drinking lots of H2O. There is nothing wrong with having alittle snack when you have a craving: jello, pudding, crackers, cottage cheese, toast, etc.

Lastly, you snack at night becasue you "think" about it. Hunger is tied to us emotionally: boredom, depression, anxiety, and anger. Keep your mind occupied.

you got it all there, but I just think about it simply. When I'm hungry I try to pick up a fruit instead of a chocolate bar

i love snacking, especially after workout, i don't know whether it is because of the workout that give me such craving.

because of my workout, i eat alot of protein and less carbo, i drink water (probably not alot), but i don't eat alot of notti food like ice-cream, soft drinks, sweets, but i had to maunch on something, i think its the maunching action that i desire and crave for.............

anything healthy maunch alot on??

Carbohydrates are what fuel your body and refill your tanks after a workout, protein is for building muscle. You need both so don't neglect carbs after working out. Maybe you could tell us what you currently eat, maybe its not enough. But eat a full meal 1-2 hours after working out. Protein AND carbs. Drink plenty of water.

As far as munching you could try chewing gum. I'm sure we can come up with some healthier foods to munch on but eventually its would be better to overcome those cravings completely and not munch on anything.

thats a thought..chewing gum helps keep your craving at bay and stops you from eating, unless you take it out (its gotta help in that way too ;) ).

Apples help my 'maunching crave'

yeah, chew some gum and feed yourself properly
i have the same problem but with eating sweets so either a) i lock them n hide them or b) i chew some gum n find something to entertain myself

Breakfast choices- wholemeal bread 2x with peanut butter/ 1 yoghurt with 2 hard boiled eggs/ oatmeal ceral with 200ml of milk,

Lunch- 1/2 can of tuna with green lettuce, cherry tomatoes, strawberries Or chicken with tuna/ tuna sandwich wholemeal bread/ fish soup noodles

mid noon- either 1 yoghurt/ milk200ml / 1 banana/ 2 hard boiled eggs

preworkout- either 1 yoghurt/ milk200ml / 1 banana/ 2 hard boiled eggs

postwork- protein shake 20g

you really need to eat a dinner...

lean meat. some complex carbs.. get a dinner meal in there and you will probably have less of the cravings. A banana and a couple of hard boiled eggs arent gonna cut it.

if you do get the midnight munches make it something healthy like carrots or peaches yummy strawberries. i get up at 1 am and munch on fruit and veggies every night lol i'm sooo weak. :(

lol yummy fruits.. hmm fruit n youghurt is great..thankfully i dont have big ass craving for anything except..yeah lol

Clear out all of the potentially unhealthy food from your house. That way you are literally in a situation of eat healthy or don't eat at all.

One of the things that makes munchies so appealing to me is that they are quick and are usually carbs, which I find I need a lot of.
So... when I've prepared, say, a sweet potato in the fridge, it's "quick" just like a naughty munchy snack, and it will fill me up even though it may not meet my craving for salty chips or something. Therefore it acts as a substitute.

Maybe you could prepare some stuff in advance which you know is healthy, and eat on it after you get back from the gym.

I agree with some of the posts on here, sounds like you need to eat a good protien and carbs meal.

Try making thick smoothies, or hot chocolate. Something thats not as bad as what you are currently eating at night.
You can't get out for an evening walk???
Get up earlier, so you're WRECKED by the time it hits bed time.

don't think waking up earlier will make me wreack, my job requires me to work long hours, as long as more than 15hrs 1 shot, body is used to long hour.
