New Year's Resolutions

I wish I could inspire somebody with my goals, but the only resolution I have is to stay out of trouble :p

LOL nice!

I got the same goals as before.

Do good in school

Lose more weight, get in better shape.

And win or rather 'place 1st-3rd' In all the paintball tournamnets i participate in. =]

Oh and get my abs back =p
I'm really fixated and motivated for this one.

Mine is to find out how to post a thread on this site V____v;.
Lol if anyone wants to message and help me out doooooit. (=

But really, mine is to loose around 7 pounds a month until june.
By then I should be to my ideal weight, and I think I just might
be able to handle 7pounds a month. But I wanted to get suggestions
from people on this site, but I don't know how to post a thread for it.

Hmmm....go to the section of the board that you want to start the thread in (i.e. 'Newcomers' or 'General'....you get the idea). Once there, click on the little 'New Thread' button that shows up above the list of already existing threads. It's kind of an orang-y colour and easy to miss.

That should do the trick :)

To get down to my desired weight and stay there!
I got down earlier in the year, but went back up some. Losing it isn't the problem, it is keeping it off. I 'resolve' to maintain a healthier lifestyle.

I am going to raise my GPA by .3 for the semester (whatever that'll average to overall, I hate math.)

Not sure where, but I am going to go on a vacation and do some things I have never done before. There have been talks of cruises with my roommates.

Short term goal is to get back into a steady eating and exercising pattern (hopefully I am no longer going to be subject to random breaking bones.)

Long term for the year is to drop and keep off 30 pounds, which *should* be easily attainable. My stretch will be my goal of 150.. so shrugging off about 50 lbs would be ideal.

My resolutions:-

Normally I really don't bother with resolutions, infact I normally do the opposite and resolve to be as bad as I can, but this year I want to change things around in a healthy positive manner (...as much as that's possible for moi !!)
  • Lose weight but most importantly feeling and looking fit, not like some great wobbly blob that can hardly move. I want to firm up big time, and get thin enough to fit into the clothes I was able to wear 2 years ago (UK size 10) :hurray:... in my dreams, huh!!!

  • Finding a job -- goes without saying, but pretty damn near impossible with current climate. Grim stuff.

  • Having been a singleton for a while now, my other aim is to get back on the dating scene (hahaha, that should be a laugh & a half...... not!!) and meet lots of hot sexy single men..... Just kidding. I'm quite content with one, for the mo. :D I haven't put myself out there for so long because I can't envision any bloke accepting my current minging-ness. :ack2:

  • Start going out more, even if just to cinemas, museums, or even a restaurant FGS. :chillpill: I've been living like an unsociable hermit and I really need to start doing more stuff outside, not always stuck inside doing solitary things like TV, DVDs, reading and internet stuff.... I have social anxiety a lot of the time, so it's not easy. Ah well...baby steps...

FUN! I love New Year's resolutions, I like the idea of fresh starts, and in my view, IF I HAVE TO REMEMBER TO WRITE "09" OR "2009" INSTEAD OF "08" OR "2008" THEN THAT'S SOMETHING NEW, might was well add some resolutions to it! You don't agree with me? no problem! Enjoy New Year's anyway, I'll be at a giant party in the Tenderloin of San Francisco that goes on until 6am! Talk about a "fresh start"--HA! :ack2:

1. Get into diet mode and drop the last 5-10 lbs--this is realistic as I've done it before (well, short 2 lbs), in 2007--in time for March's Fetish Ball (hello, latex dress!)
2. Volunteer for the Women's Prison in Santa Cruz (not sure how, but I'll figure it out).
3. Learn to rock climb, and get better at Acroyoga
4. Put cash into IRA account
5. Cook more, for myself, like I used to. Ah, fuck it--cook for others, too. A lot of my friends seem to really enjoy my cooking.
6. Start a Burning Man art project to bring, in September
7. Sew my own costume/clothes for future parties, my friend Chris knows how to tailor and will help me.

Those are some terrific goals and aspirations! Good luck!
