New Year Resolutions

One word:

NO!!

Hello, newly registered member here.

My resolutions are:

Reduce my fat and sugar intake.

Do more cardio.

Lift more (can't really give specific numbers since I haven't really "lifted" for over 6 months. I've been using a Total Body Works 5000 (similar to Total Gym) for resistance training over that time. Before that I used to go to a small gym in my old neighborhood. It had a weight stack machine with a maximum of 160 lbs. I used to lift this maximum in the chest machine and when doing lat pulldowns. I'm not sure I can still lift those 160, I'll give it a shot as soon as I get the home gym I ordered.

To help me with those resolutions I ordered a Proform Crossover Elliptical/Home Gym combo (haven't received it yet).

Sorry for the long rambling.

Your better off going to a gym nearby and getting a membership. The freeweights are better then any machine.

Unfortunately I am unable to make it to a gym (The Mrs. and I take turns taking care of our daughter, when I'm working she's home, and vice versa).

I also don't have a lot of room for cardio and weight equipment, that is why I went with the device I mentioned since it combines both cardio and strength training in one.

210 lbs by the end of January. I'm right around 222-225 now, depending, probably closer to 225 with the way I've eaten and drank the last couple of days. So, that's it. Should be achievable. Greg

Thats about 3-4 pounds a week. You might have to go a little slower. According to this site if you lose 2 pounds a week (which is the safest way imo) you should be done on February 22, 07
