Thanks for noticing I tried to do my ticker, but it was messed up, so I tried to do another and did it the same way and now it only shows a red X or the link. I should of left it the was it was, messed up!:mad:
 
Hi Beachcomergal! I just found your journal and wanted to say hello and welcome to the forum. Don't worry about the ticker....once you figure it out it will be easy to do. It took me a few tries too to get it working.

I can't believe that I totally forgot to wear green. I didnt even realize that it was St. Patricks Day today. Guess having the kids out on spring break has me totally messed up with my days.

Congrats on starting WW! I hope you have lots of success with it! Look forward to reading your journal.....best of luck with your weight loss!! :)
 
Once you finish building your ticker, make sure you copy & paste the correct code for this message forum. It should look something like this (without the spaces):

I know with the 3fatchicks one, they tell you what kind of forum the code can be used for. This forum is vBulletin, and I believe that's the first code that you can copy & paste.

I am really new to this too. I am trying to figure it all out. I thought this would be a good place to get and give support to others that are also working to have a healthier life.
 
ok at ticker factory it is the very first code under the ticker copy it and go to your signature at the top right corner of where you type the bar you will see a box with a pic of like a mountain when you run the mouse pointer over it you will see it say insert image click it and paste the copy from the ticker in it and then it shouldshow up in the box! its the yellow box beside the quote pic icon hope this helps!

Yeah! I figured this one out! Ticker factory kept messing up and would not erase my old ticker and kept giving it to me. It's a beautiful morning and I am going to treat myself to half of a grapefruit with sugar twin on it, since I actually have time to cut one, unlike O dark 30 weekdays. I have a lot of things to do today, along with bend down and plant flowers. I know its good thigh exercise, but walking will be rough Monday, lol. I forgot to mention, this last week, not only did I loose 5.6 lbs. I had no caffeine, and NO SALT! Wow, wouldn't it be wonderful if I didn't have to take blood pressure meds? Weedend trouble

Well, the weekend started and I did good Sat. morning with one WW yogurt and then I went shopping all day-got my nails done a shimery light brown and dont like it! Ugh. Hubby and I went out to Applebees and I think I really blew it with the Oriental Chicken Salad Wraps. It was fried chicken strips in it and the dressing was sooo sweet. BTW, they did have a section of WW things to eat and their point value, but I couldn't do it. Good thing though, it came with a side of french fries that I DID NOT touch, but I did eat some of the queso dip and tortilla chips:eek: Oh well, I am planning on having a healthy day today and making a healthy version of spaghetti, (familys gonna love whole grain pasta, lmao). Hey Beachcomergal! Don't beat yourself up too badly about the dinner out. Eating out is really difficult. At least I know it is for me. Good job on skipping the fries though. Every little bit helps!

I find the weekends the hardest two days of the week to stay on course with my weight loss program. Its just harder with everyone home, and food everywhere. I ended up allowing myself one cheat meal a week, which I normally have on Saturday nights. I find it helps keep me honest and sane through the rest of the week knowing I have a treat planned out ahead.

Keep up the great work! You can make it through today! :)
 
I like Fluff's idea of having the one "cheat" meal. Tonight was supposed to be my sushi night, but the place I normally go to doesn't make it on Sundays. Bummer. :(

Anyway, an idea for eating out:

If you know where you're going, you can check their list of restaurants to see the calories in certain dishes. It's handy, because you can plan out what to eat before you even get there, and you'll know exactly how good or bad you'll be doing. ;)

Plus, I know that seeing the calorie content in things before consuming them makes me less likely to cheat.

HOWEVER, congrats on the french fry rejection! That would be a huge feat for me, and I envy your self-control!

Well, I did better today......stayed within points even with "diet spaghetti" on the menu, lol. Never did make it for that walk.......there's too much to do, I only sat down for about 20 mn! Thanks for the cheer squad.....I sure need it. Luna, thanks for the link! We go out to eat very often and it is hard trying to figure out how much is in what. Today is Monday and I'm back on track.
BF= 2 rice cakes and 1 WW yogurt
Lunch= Big salad with chicken and FF dressing
20 mn semi-power walk
Sams clear and free water all day


Tonight I'm cooking some of those mystery hot dogs. Whew! I know this will be worth it!

Thanks for checkin........I am kinda in a low again, I go weigh in on Friday and I think it'll be bad. The last 2 days I've been on my period, so I"m bloated, and kinda bummed out over other things. I had my consultation for bypass and I'm one point bmi, and there's so many loop holes, I dont know whether I wanna stick with WW or try to go for that. If I try for that, then I gotta quit WW so I can keep my bmi. Sheesh. I had 2 pieces of pizza last night. Today at the dr. my husband I think saw the sheet that said how much I weigh. I was kinda hoping he didnt notice I was fat. BIG HAHAHA. Anyway, I am totally embarassed now. So, that's my deal going on here, just ate a WW lunch. Gotta pass out candy today on bus, so that means not eating mini chocolate bars for 3 hours. Dang! Oh well, 'nuff said. Hugs all

Just thought I'd write a bit before I go to week 2 weigh in. The first week I lost 5.6 lbs, (water). I have the sinking feeling that tonight is not going to be good at all. I ate like 3 handfuls of regular chips this past week, and 2 nights ago, has 2 slices of supreme pizza. Other than that, I've been eating correctly, but I haven't been in the spirit to walk with PMS knocking at the door, and now, with my period in full bloom, I bet I have 5.6 lbs. of water in me again. Well, that's all for now.......Just wanted to mentally prepare myself for this weigh in and let ya'll know that I'm not expecting much, so when the ole' ticker goes back up, don't feel bad for me, I'm expecting it. Hugs till later!
 
Yeah! I went for my weigh in and was shocked! I lost 2.8 lbs this week! (actually 1 day short of a week.) I was shocked! I then went to Wendy's cause it was a 6:00 pm meeting and got a Chargrilled Chicken sandwich for 7 pts, and a side salad for one point. I could of blew it cause I dont weigh for another week, but will save my cheating for the weekend. Anyway, that's my good news for tonight. I still have 2 pts. left for some fresh pineapple while I'm reading others diarys! Have a good weekend everyone!:D
