Just to make sure i think you should stick to power walking its a nice median lol me personally wouldn't be cought dead power walking along a pathway but hey if you cant afford a gym membership and don't want deformed legs then go for it
Here's what I've noticed, personally.... (And I have always had issues with all of my leg joints, even as a kid) When I run in shoes, I always twist my ankles... always. The rest of my legs are fine. Yet what I noticed with running barefoot, is that for once in my life, I could run without twisting my ankles... BUT it hurt my knees and shins bad!! All in all.... running with shoes cause me less damage. I think running shoes need to be more barefoot like. I would love to get me a pair like that.
The comment saying that what jiggles... DIES.. instead of tightens has gotten me a little freaked! I've also heard that running shrinks muscle, and makes you whispy? I want to make my rear BIGGER. Anyone care to shed some light?
Oh a side not... I'm using my 45 lb child as my weight! (Is that too heavy? It doesn't feel like it, and it doesn't hurt me) He loves it! Giggles the whole time. He says "Get up mom, let's exercise!" He's my personal trainer.
