How much weight do you want to lose?17kg, I am currently 82kg, my ideal weight is 65.

What is the timeframe for reaching your target weight? by next summer, so December 05.

How do you want to accomplish your goal (what methods do you want to use)? eating a healthy, balanced diet, with lots of fruit, vegis, grains, meats ect (in moderation ofcourse), excersise, mainly going for a walk each day (which is fairly good excerise for me considering I will be pushing a double pram with a 18kg 3 year old and a 13kg 2 year old in it), and every few nights doing things like sit ups, pushups ect (this cannot be done during the day as the said 3 and 2 year olds like to climb on mummy when she is doing excersises).

Who or what can support you in reaching your goal? nothing really. I have alot of problems eating healthier because we don't have the money to be buying two lots of food and my parnter doesn't really want to be eating the foods I want to eat. Makes it very hard.

How realistic is your goal? I think it is quite realistic, I have 9 months to do it in, if I work at it hard enough I should be able to do it.

When will you start? I have already started in a way, I have been trying to eat healthier, I was planing on begining my walks this friday. I do do walking on a Tuesday, but I used to walk everyday, then I got my licence and now I hardly walk at all.

guess I should try keeping track of what I am eating huh?

breakfast-
bowl of porridge with 2 teaspoons of sugar and full cream milk (I was thinking of buying some skim and just putting it in the full cream bottle so Garry doesn't know LMAO)
1 glass orange juice

morning snack-
apple
coffee

lunch-
honey sandwich
some lemonade (about 1/2 glass)

dinner-
redwine and garlic marinated steak with mushrooms, mash potato, brocoli, corn
glass of juice

ooo forgot, 3 scoops icecream, with 2 tablespoons of nuts (my weakness)

I think I need to start drinking more water
**note to self, drink more water tomorrow**

Welcome, Witchy Mamma. I too have little ones (4 3/4, 3, and 19 months), so I totally understand about the exercise thing! Pushing the stroller is great! (When my three year old turned three we had to stop the stroller walking because it wasn't working.) I usually wind up doing a walking dvd in my living room after the boys are in bed.
Keep posting here. This forum has been my "secret weapon" to weight loss. I call it my own "cheering section."
Good luck.

Welcome witchy...you have a great plan set out,..and a great attitude...which is the successes to the weight loss

thanks for the welcomes guys. I actually might be getting a gym mmbership WAHOOO!!! it will only be a 6 month one but hey its a start, plus the YMCA (where I would be getting it) has free child minding services for members, so that would be a major help too.

lemonade

rice (aparently fried rice flavoured, I'm about to eat it, I'll let you know how it tastes hahaha) ick, yuck, gag, I only ate half of it lol

macaroni carbinara (the kids find fettucini hard to eat hehehe)

icecream + nuts

cup of tea, white, 1 sugar

well the Y doesn't do free childcare anymore, silly money grabbing people :p but Garry and I came up with a "schedual", I can go up Tuesday evenings while they eat dinner and have mine when I get back. Thursday mornings after the boys go to kindy and before I go to my scrapbooking crop. And Saturdays (and Garry and the boys will go watch the footy if they are playing up at our local oval). I'm going to go up nex week to have a look around, I've been in the pool there before but I havn't actually seen any of their equipment.

Todays menu:

Breakfast-
bowl of Special K (I decided to measure it out according to the "nutrional info" on the box, I thought it would be less then I normally eat, but it was more, I couldn't eat it all, Rohan helped hehehe)
glass of OJ
cup of tea, full cream milk, one sugar

Snack-
1 crumpet with honey
glass of OJ

Lunch-
cheese and vegemite sandwich
water

snack-
corn chips and salsa
water

dinner-
two pieces of home made pizza (salsa, cheese, bacon, capsicum, tomato, pepperoni)
glass of lemonade

Hi witchy mama you live just up the road from me, I live on the gold coast. Good luck with your weight loss.

hehehe cool, I'm actually in the Redlands, but its easier to say brissy seeing as more people know where that is lol.

today has been horrible for food, not because I over endulged, but because I have hardly eaten anything. I feel hungry but the smell of food wants me to be sick. I normally have headaches (the dr has no idea why, this last one I have had since the end of Jan), but because I have been out in the hot sun all day it is really really really bad. I think I might go lie down...

Todays menu:

Breakfast-
nothing, we were in a rush to get to a christening

Lunch-
2 sausages, salad, onion, potato bake
3-4 cups of lemonade (they were very small cups)

snack-
2 cups of juice
1 piece of left over pizza
3 cups of water (can you tell I am dehydrated? hahaha)

dinner-
1 oven baked, potato crumbed fish fillet, oven baked chips, 1 corn on the cob
1 glass lemonade

snack-
crumpet with honey

I had my walking group this morning, but unfortunatly we don't get a really vigourous walk seeing as we have to deal with children dauwdling. I did get a run though when Rohan thought it would be fun to run as fast as he could toward the road.

Omg kids can give you an early heart attack cant they I have always had a fear of my kids near roads and water, there nearly all grown up and it still worries me lol (forever a mum)

oh yeah, the weird thing is he hasn't done that sort of thing in ages, he might chase an ibis and get a bit close the the road, or a ball or something, but I can only remember one other time when he just ran for the road.
his punishment was a smack on the bum (which doesn't hurt anyway seeing as he has a nappy on), and banishment to the pram for the rest of the trip...

Hey there =) I'm glad to see all that you are accomplishing on the forum =) One of the things that is so amazing about this is that we are all from different places and different cultures =) I have so much fun reading your journal and seeing all of the words you use and how our foods differ.
