HA!! LMAO

well, with your whining about the job.....hahaha are you sure?--hahahaha

I hope yer laughing!!!
Good grief, save me, save me......hahahaha

ding- Fries are done!!

Anyway had my first day at work today.

I do get to have a 10min break in the morning and a 10min break in the afternoon as well as dinner so I thought I can own a tuna, chicken, cheese, lettuce, tomato, cucumber and butter sandwich at each break.

Best of all, my desk is by the window so I can see all the hot women walking past!

:D:D:D

One thing I have learned to cope with working in an office is that there are generally a lot of people bringing in sugary and fatty snacks. Some of the people can take things wrong if you say no in the wrong fashion or think that you are being a jerk (it's weird but people are really sensitive about that especially if they bring homemade baking or something). Being underage you won't get hauled off to all the corporate boozefests after work though.

Hopefully that will work out for you, some offices I've been in if you tell them you aren't eating "that" for fitness reasons some of the people in less than great shape think you are taking a dig at them for eating it. In sales like you are too you'll probably quickly see that the Friday afternoon sales meetings are all in bars.

It is really tough on your diet to play "office politics" succesfully. I am diabetic at work to get out of eating the sweets and to be able to grab a bite when I want.

Find something that works though, it will pay off professionally to learn now how to play situations in a corporate environment.

How do you mean by 'Friday afternoon sales meetings are all in bars.'?

Chocolate bars?

I do have the odd sweet if someone offers me one, but I don't go out of my way eating a lot of them.

yer doing good. it sounds like you have a good attitude, and some strength for a young person--hahahah OK for a young man!

this is a cool thread and it shows the power of a board. Peeps here to help you. Here is a sales tidbit for you-

when the other person starts to talk, breath out. (not in)

this will give them, your potential customer, twice as much time to talk because you have to then breath in before you start talking. HA! the lesson.. most sales people talk talk talk, while the rest of us SELL by listening (and the rest is only 2%) the other 98% can't shut up.

then you will have lots of words left over to dump onto a fitness forum---hahahahaha

Effer-- you never cease to amaze me in how you can so gracefully step in it! You are a salesman for sure!

In my office...I guess 'cause I'm "management", I don't get crap about what I don't eat. I do, however, get crap about carrying around a baggie full of cherry tomatoes, yellow squash, and baby carrots. I'll just grab something from my sack-o-food I keep in my office and take it with me to the meeting. Of course it depends on the meeting, but generally speaking, it's a conversation starter and usually ends up with a conversation about health.

Now what was the topic?

hmm, I also have a desk job at a bank. People are entitled to breaks throughout the day. I don't think hardly anybody at their desk jobs does nothing but work all day. Just do what people have been saying, bring some snacks throughout the day. Who's gonna come in and chew you out for eating some apples while you are at your desk?
