Nice job, keep it up! :D You always have and always will be my inspiration. Looks like you increased some weight and duration on some of the excercises. Nice job!:D

Thanks - yes, in reading The New Rules of Lifting, I picked up one very important (possibly obvious) piece of advice so far: never do the same workout twice, always try to improve on something each and every time you work out. In that spirit, I've been adding weights somewhat more quickly than what I had been - particularly in the chest press as I'm getting back to where I was when I was doing that particular exercise regularly.

Exercise addict? Me?

We got a new person into the department I work in, and I (and my coworker) were introduced to the new gal as exercise addicts. As denial jumped onto the tip of my tongue, I realize I couldn't really say anything having just returned from the gym. Never thought that I'd hear that name applied to me lol. I was also asked to captain a Shape Up PA team for people at work - all it is is getting team members to submit their activity minutes to me monthly so I can upload them to the Shape Up PA website. Last year I participated on a team, but not as captain. Ah well will see what the coming months bring.

LOL I guess most of us here can qualify as exercise addict :p so no worry, you got a lot of partners in crime hehehe.
Gratz on being the Captain! That should say a lot about your dedication. And I am sure they can see your achievements. :)

Thanks for the encouragement - not really addicted, just something I have to do if I'm ever going to be hot in this lifetime lol.

Is there ever any other really? C'mon - yeah the health is nice, but let's be honest, it really comes down to the hot.

I hear that! But really! You are so great at motivating people! It's a great opportunity!! ENJOY!

Heh well they'd better be careful what they wished for - they may just get it. I'm thinking of adding individual and team goals to kick things up a notch - you know, like taking the stairs instead of the elevator, trying a new activity, visiting the gym 3 times in a week - stuff like that.

Workout 1/23

Spinning

Today's class was one big hill, with no downhills - just turning up the tension every few minutes. It was tough but I managed to do it. :) I'd noticed a few people who'd been to class a couple of weeks ago on the ellipticals in the main gym while we were having class - the instructor picked up on it as well. I think she was disappointed they didn't return, but also kind of expected it too.
