My calves really hurt

Will soaking my legs in a warm tub work? I've been having really bad calf pains, especially my right calf, an intense pain just shoots into it. The arch under my foot hurt like &*^&* today during school as well so I'm taking a break from my workout today. So far no pains since after school, I usually work out right after school.

I might have the solution

As of 1 year ago I started to develop the same problems. It got to a point where I could hardly run 1 mile. This was unusual due to the fact that I run up to 40 miles per week.

So that being said, I still have the same problems, however there is a way temporarily correct the problem. I don't know how or why it works, but it does.

After trying everything, foam rolling, stretching, massage, stim, compression, etc. Finally, I was so mad that I said screw it and went to the gym and lifted calves so hard I didnt care if I made them worse. Doing seated calf raises with high weight and letting the weight stretch my calves after the workout. I took the day after this workout off and went to the track (softer surface) to do an easy run. Bam the pain was gone. I was able to do a 45min track workout and although my calves were a little sore, they didnt hurt.

Give it a try, you will have to do this workout about once a week but it works for me.
