Most overrated/underrated exercises

I bet if you came along by boat with a bench and started bench pressing with the barbell they would rip your head off and continue overhead pressing as if nothing had happened. :p

You might be right, but if you had a bench in one hand and a copy of Mens Health in the other they'd be doing high rep benching in no time ;)
 
To clear some things up,
I'm not defending the Smith Machine Squats. And it's not a worthy exercise to go into arguments about it. :yelrotflmao:
I think that the Smith Machine Squats are bad, but not as bad as everyone makes em. :drooling1:
 
Hahahah I see where you're coming from, voj. I'm sure if a smith machine was all I had on some deserted island, I would do smith squats once and a while...just to keep my legs from atrophying in the hope that I will be rescued and taken back to the mainland where they have squat racks :D

This is the ultimate workout routine: will get huge gains in muscle mass all around.

That's a good one, and a very common one (unfortunately :mad: ) but I've got a better one, that you don't see everyday...

Squatting in the Squat rack.... You think nothing sounds wrong with this?
Well, the guy was squatting his bodyweight only, didn't have a barbell or anything, squatting only his body. He was there for around 20 minutes did a few sets and left. Why did he have to use the Squat rack... I'm still trying to figure that out :yelrotflmao:

Maybe its all bull**** and he didnt just go to the gym to practice some bodyweight squats.
