Michael Thurmond's 6 Week Body Makeover

oh no gals, it has a money back guarantee and you can make payments of like $20 a month. This plan used to cost over $1000 some years ago. Luckily my sis-in-law gave me hers, she didn't use hers, but NOW SHE WANTS IT BACK! I don't know...... no really. You guys it really is worth it. at least check out the posts online and read the success stories. There are tons of them in there. LINK DELETED (select 6 week body makeover) I wish I would have done this years ago, I am not joking. I have already lost nearly 20 pounds and 20.5 inches, and I feel great, my reflux and hernia are gone and I continue to lose weight. It is worth any amount of money, even it you get it on credit. check out the forum. everyone should know about this plan and MT should be the health advisor to American endorsed by the President. No joke!

I saw this guy on HSN last night. I remember this stuff from YEARS ago. I'm sorry but just in the short few minutes I watched this guy, he said quite a few things that were way off and just plain stupid.

good job timetoloseit27!!!!!

I am so proud of you! Don't you feel great? I really feel that this program affects every aspect of my life now. I have cleaned out my closet, my makeup drawer, re-arranged some cupboards, cleaned out my office at work, and life is good. I am working out with the plan, and life is really really good. Now if the mortgage industry could just pick up....(I am a mortgage broker)

First of all....Landonsbaby, could you PLEASE be a little more supportive???? If you don't have good things to say, don't say anything. OK?
Secondly, end of week one...... ((( 7 LBS. ))) total loss!!! My goal was 5 lbs. so I am thrilled. As you get older, the weight hangs on for dear life. So at 53 I will probably lose less than my 35 yr. old daughter per week. She is doing another 6 week diet now too.
Getting older, also means being forgetful. I remember my goal, but not my reward...lol...although I was going to buy something. I have to write stuff down.
Any way...WOO HOO !!!! :hurray:

I thought it would come off slower too now that I am 40

.... but I lost like 16 pounds in the first 13 days I was on it. I have now re-taken the test and found out I was a C not a B )after I stalled at -18 pounds for 13 days) I did a BOO BOO and ate all rapid results meals for a whole week and (dumb! ~ not supposed to DO THAT!) my body thought I was starving and hoarded onto the fat. SO! I am eating more now again, like I am supposed to and losing weight again! Ya know, there comes a time when you just have to DO IT like they TELL YOU to DO IT and stop thinking that you know better than the EXPERTS! And now I'm losing again, instead of starving. YOU DON'T HAVE TO STARVE TO LOSE WEIGHT AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORK OUT ALL THE TIME TO LOSE WEIGHT. HELLO YA'll! I wonder how that chic is doing that is getting married. I hope she is totally POPIN!

It sounds like folks are seeing results . . and gratz to those who are having success.

But I'm curious how feasible is it to do long term? Does the average person who loses the pounds and inches maintain their loss 6 months later or longer? Does this plan work "in the real world"? After the goal is reached, is there a maintenance plan? One is able to follow the plan for a lifetime?

I hope so, but am leary of any of these advertised plans as the majority of them are money making schemes. You always see the fine print on all the commericals "results NOT typical".

Good luck with it !

What my body seems to be getting from this diet so far is a good cleaning. No salt, no sugar, no fats...I have to admit is is a bit too bland for my tastes, but doable. And it is a DIET....to lose the weight. I think the main thing I am going to keep from all I'm learning is to weigh and portion my foods. I think that is how I will maintain after I lose the weight I want.
As for long term on the diet...my daughter says that she had to take a couple weeks off before she could go back on it. It does say it is a six week diet. She just didn't go crazy and eat a ton.
I am also learning to cook differently without all the fats and such. With warmer weather I can't wait to start grilling meals.
When I finally lose the weight I want...which will probably take a second six weeks after this first one, I think I will continue five small meals and snacks a day. I will also continue more fruits and vegitables than before, and avoid the pizzas, hotdogs, etc. :jump:

i have tasted success!

ok revolution, you will truly understand your name when you do this plan. I've been doing it since 3/18/08 and I have gone from 165 to 143.5 this morning. also I've lost 28.75 inches!!!! I am getting so many compliments my head is swimming! AND I AM EATING!!!!!!! sometimes I feel like I am eating quite alot, as I look down at my dinner plate and notice it is not even half gone and I am full. they don't want you to skip any meals and eat every 2.5-3 hours, eating small and specifically structured meals that have been selected based on a test you take. it is WAY kool I honestly can't wait for another day I'm so excited. I'm eating SO healthy. There is some preparation of the food involved but I love it! It is WAY worth it. I am fitting into clothes I have not fit into in a long time, I've cleaned out and organized my closet and now my jewelry/accessories, it feel like I'm dressing a barbie doll now every morning. I truly wish that everyone knew about this plan and that I knew about this plan like 20 years ago. It truly is the way I will eat for the rest of my life now. Dont hesitate to give it your all.

This program works i think....I lost 16 pounds on it...the first week i lost 8 being that most of it is water weight since we cannot have salt and then after that it was 1 - 3 lbs a week. I was only perfect on plan for three days the most.

Me too!

Please lend me the Plan B, I have done this diet before and it was extrodinary! I lost weight quickly, was never hungry and it was healthy. Since someone was kind enough to lend it to you will you please pay it forward? I just moved to California to start a new life and all my stuff is in storage in florida and I can't really afford to but another one right now. I know how to do the breathing and exercise ( I just got back from walking a mile!) and would give my eye teeth for the plans measurements and such. I am 30 pounds over weight right now and I am just disgusted with my lack of will power. I did this program about 5 years ago but started getting careless about 2 years back and alas here I am. I almost remember the whole thing but can't recall the ounces and cups etc. If you could take the time, I am really dedicating myself and this program DELIVERS! Thank you so much!
your friend in the battle of the bulge,
Vana

Hi everyone! I haven't heard of this plan before so- the low down:
It is a planned "diet" according to one's body, weight etc?
It requires about an hour six times a week of cardio work.
It works according to people that have tried it?
You have to send away information for a blue print for your body?
Are there any problems with buying it used if everything is still included?

TIA, not sure if this is all right, please correct/confirm!!! :D

A co-worker of mine had this plan years ago. From what I remember, it is a planned diet and (so so) workout plan based on your body-type. After answering a long list of questions (included in the kit) you determine your body-type (blue print) and go from there.
You can find it on auction sights online for considerably less (just make sure it includes ALL the different body types) BUT you don't get the money back guarantee.

I ordered it today... I have 35 pounds to lose and am a body-type C. I PAID THE FULL AMOUNT SO I COULD GET UPS GROUND SHIPMENT. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW LONG THAT WILL TAKE? I'M HOPING IT'S NOT THE 3-6WEEKS!

Ordered the plan!

I just ordered the kit tonight and I'm looking forward to getting started as soon as it arrives.
I'm off to read some more posts, set up my diary, take photos and measurements etc, I hope to find some buddies here for support that are doing the same plan :seeya:

I have never heard of this diet before. What types of food do you eat on it? Isn't it just a reasonable amunt of intake & no junk?

Day 1 6WBM: I Feel Great!

when ordering the kit it asked for an extra $10 for fast postage, I didn't pay that and was expecting to wait 3-4 weeks but it arrived within 48 hours!

I am really excited about the program, It took me a couple of hours to read everything, work out my body type and menu plan.

I have to say when I read about my body type it I finally felt like someone actually understood my struggles to lose weight and how hard it has been. I get so frustrated with people who think it's just a matter of willpower or that I am lazy or undisciplined. For example I am someone who cannot lose weight on weight watchers, now i understand that it just doesn't fit my body type.

I shopped and then spent an afternoon cooking food, dividing it up into portions. Unless you are at home all day and love cooking I think preparing food for the week ahead is essential to succeed. I could not have done it without doing the food preparation. There are lots of recipes, but I have kept is simple, just cooking up chicken, fish, vegies potatos and rice. I love that I can eat potatos again!

Yesterday was my first full day on the plan, I found it easy, I certainly was not hungry! and by dinner time I could have quite happily skipped a meal but I didn't.

there is no junk food, you can eat lots of vegies, the other amounts seemed small at first but somehow it worked and I feel good this morning. I had plenty of energy and i just followed it exactly. I think I am ready to just eat what I am told to eat, because losing this weight is critical to my health

I will update with my first weeks loss, at the moment I feel quite optimistic!

Just thought I'd leave a short update for anyone interested in the 6WBM. Today is Day 5, I have lost 8.5 lbs. I had a couple of days feeling quite unwell with detox symptoms, (headaches, stomach upset) but yesterday I felt really well! I also got the OK from the DR to use the plan and to use the faster ways to lose weight.

I am finding it really easy now, I do need to send time pre cooking foods but once that is done, it's not difficult. I certainly am not hungry and i do feel that I can maintain this eating lifestyle.

Fine if you're in a spa, but hard for real life

I ordered this, and the eating schedule and weird combinations of food really didn't work for me in real life. I spent a month on it, and had to devote a full day a week to preparing the next week's meals. I was constantly checking my schedule, and I felt like a lab rat, and that I didn't learn anything about how to eat once I was off eating 3 egg whites and asparagus. Real life requires us to get in situations where we can't bring our own food. And the body type plans made it impossible for me to order in a restaurant a simple, healthy meal that conformed to the plan.

It's low cal, frequent meals, and healthy choices, that make for the weight loss overall with this or any other plan.

Yes, I lost weight in a month but I'd forgotten what real food looked like or how to eat it properly.

Also, a personal peeve about the exercize plan. There's no way to do this in 18 minutes with some resistance bands when you're flipping the guidebook and re-reading which exercize to do out of all the various plans.

I'd love to do the exercize plan for my body type with a trainer who leads me from one to the next, and also helps with form. Michael claims his plan lets you do this "as if he were there" but let's face it, without the trainer (or a video with the exact workout), there's so much down time it's more like 45 minutes without any verbal or visual cues to tell you about form or timing.

I do better with exercize videos where I can follow a workout start to finish without fiddling the stop and start buttons.

In my experience, a thumbs down.
